BEAUTIFUL AND TASTEFUL DECOR - Our home is decorated with materials and colors that invite the the hand and delight the eye. The hallways and kitchen area are of sand cast brick. Our painted oak furniture is colorful and cheerful, but all in the Nantucket style for comfort and warmth. All furnishings and appliances in almost new condition. Very comfortable, "Walpole" Adirondack chairs on the back deck. And we use ORGANIC, 7th Generation, cleaning supplies!NEW: just installed 100-YEAR OLD HEART OF PINE FLOORS in LR\DR.
Terrific SCREENED PORCH with tournament style PING PONG TABLE; private rear wrap-around deck; Home Theater DVD system in LR and TV\VCR in MBR; Exercise Bike; fully equipped for families with children\family videos, books, board games, highchair, beach chairs and toys; art, antique maps, and various prints collected from our travels; very tasteful.
BIKES GALORE! 6 - 2 adult, 2 for teenagers, 2 for young children), jogging stroller, toddler bike (condition of bikes\stoller not guaranteed - inquire)- save hundreds over local bike rental rates!
AIP CARD - we are members of the Amelia Island Plantation Club and, therefore, can purchase a guest card for you. The card gives you ACCESS (but fees apply) to such world-class amenities as the tennis courts, golf, indooor fitness center with heated pool, various eateries, and the Kids Camp. OUR OUTSTANDING SERVICE - We have an "on-island" friend, Lauren, who will meet you with keys, arrange for your car permit, and is available to meet any emrgencies during your stay.

Why the Owner Chose Amelia Island Plantation
We have been fortunate to be able to explore, travel and visit resorts in many parts of the world. We considered home purchases in several of these, but selected Amelia Island Plantation for its combination of unique natural beauty, convenience, safety, and wonderful resort amenties. The stunning beach, tennis courts, golf, biking and walking trails, and the close-by charming town of Fernandina Beach with wonderful eateries, art galleries, and friendliness just make for a wonderful vacation destination.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home has a very special feel to it of warmth and tranquility. We put great effort into the selection of fabrics, art, and furniture to produce a comfortable home of simple pleasures. It is unassuming, but the over 100 year old heart of pine floors (we spent several years searching for the wood!) is just indicative of the care we have put into the home. Located on a cul-de-sac, both the inside and outside environment are tranquil, at night you can sit on the back decks and hear the roar of the ocean just 0.5 miles away, but you are never in the roar of the crowds as in the oceanside condos and homes here.

Rhonda and I are university faculty members in the planning, design and construction areas. We love renovating and decorating houses, and have put great care and thoughtfulness into this home. Our five children have spent wonderful summers and holidays here and truly consider it their second, but most favorite home. We are honest and responsible and take take great joy in hosting our visitors many of whom continue to return year after year. We hope you will, also.

Your house was perfect for all our needs, and now that we completed a special presentation to our parents in your lving room, complete with dance, song and loving words, the house should be filled with more love!! We made good use of the ping pong table and the bikes and had fun finding our way on the trails to the beach and Sea Dunes where the rest of the family stayed. Hope you're having a geat summer, and thanks again for renting your place to us!
