Clemente's place is an oasis in paradise! We stayed here for six days and loved every second. The property is kept immaculate inside and out. Not only is the place great but Clemente is a fantastic host! He helped us with all our questions and pointed us in the right direction every time! He also connected us with Dave and Chase for some excellent surf lessons! If you need a lesson while here make sure to ask for them! The combination of physical elements with the friendly and relaxing spirit of Rincon as seen through people like Clemente make this place a home run! We cannot wait to go back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I spent a week at Traveling Palms and we were so extremely pleased with everything. Clemente was the perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was perfect, very spacious and equipped with the things we needed to make a few meals at home. We loved having dinner on the patio. The property was absolutely beautiful and so wide open. As soon as we arrived, we knew that we made the right choice by staying here. Driving in Rincon was always an adventure because the roads are a bit narrow and there are lots of curves, but once you get the hang of it, getting around was very easy. Be sure to check out all the beaches in the area because you never know what you might find or see. A few highlights: We really enjoyed the Rincon lighthouse area. On one trip, we did see a few whales and it was awesome! We also saw some whales when we were at our favorite place, Domes beach (which is very close to the lighthouse). it was never crowded at Domes beach and we felt like we found a piece of paradise for the two of us. We took a trip to the Southwest part of the island and hiked in the Guanica Dry Forest and were fascinated that you could have large cactus plants so close to the ocean. We also went to the Cabo Rojo lighthouse area and thought it was absolutely beautiful! Be sure to hike the trail around the lighthouse as there are really some breathtaking views of the ocean, rugged cliffs and the "natural bridge" which is a really cool arch made from the rocks. Walk a bit further and you come across La Playuela beach which is a perfect place to cool off and simply beautiful! Food - the food trucks scattered around have the best food for a great price. We loved the pinchos at Steps Quick Lunch and the pizza at La Familia. Clemente suggested Calypso Cafe our first night and we loved it. The Pool Bar had great fish tacos and cubanos (yum), Lucky 13 for fusion taco's, Tamboo (lunch overlooking the beach), and great sandwiches at Casa Islena for lunch our last day. Great views of the ocean as well. We will not hesitate to visit this area again. Thanks to Clemente for making our first trip to Puerto Rico one that we will never forget!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Clemente! How can we start thanking you for all you did for us? This place is paradise - just awesome. I visited during February (returned home yesterday **sniff, sniff**) and temperature was very comfortable during the day. At night, we slept with all windows open listening to nature and our beloved "coquíes". Clemente made sure we were always comfortable and with plenty of clean sheets, towels, etc. The pool was always clean and we loved to hang out there - best place for star gazing! The complimentary beach chairs, cooler and snorkeling gear were a huge plus! We also rented a paddleboard Clemente's shop and that was a great workout!! We rented both the one bedroom and the studio. Some of my family members came to visit and stay with us a few days. All of them had to mentioned how clean everything was. My father, who is 86 yrs young, kept telling me how nice this place is and how he would never forget our days here. I am so grateful we were able to spend that time together. Even my minituare schanauzer, Luna, loved it. Clemente was kind enough to allow us to bring her and she had the greatest time! She spent her days exploring the surroundings, running after Rice (Clemente's cat) and playing with Clemente's dog. We plan to come back next year and can't wait!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I can't say enough about how great our stay was at Clemente's Traveling Palms Villa. We rented both the 1-bedroom and the studio so our teenage sons could have their own 'bachelor pad' and we had plenty of room to relax and enjoy Rincon. Clemente is not just a landlord - he is a host. The house is beautiful, the surrounding land is spectacular. He even did our laundry for us! He has this place set up for a perfect holiday. When you go, say hi to Gidgi for us.....We WILL be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Clemente is such an amazing person and his property is beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. My husband and I went there for our honeymoon, and I don't think we could of picked a better place. It was our home away from home. Clemente, you better be ready for us next spring, because we may be coming back there for our one year anniversary! Hopefully we can convince Ray and Patty to come too!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Clemente is a wonderful host. He couldn't be more accommodating. The apartment is beautiful and immaculately clean. There is a lovely small salt water pool and a tiki bar on the beautiful grounds. My favorite part, however, are the horses next door that I would feed bananas to each morning. My boyfriend and I stayed at Clemente's studio rental 12/31-01/06/2012. First off, the property is beautiful. It is close enough beach and restaurants but far enough away to where its quiet at night. The studio is the perfect size for two people, very clean, comfortable and nicely built. We were able to cook breakfast every morning and enjoyed having a mini kitchen to keep our snacks. It was nice to be able to hangout at the pool after going to the beach each day for a little privacy and relaxation. We arrived on New Year's Eve, not knowing where to go celebrate. Every suggestion Clemente gave us throughtout the trip was spot on. He recommended the best restaurants, best places to visit, and best place to snorkel. ile we were sad we had to leave our pets at home on our vacation, it was nice to have his dog Gidgie and cats Rice and Beans to play with and make us feel at home. I would recommend this place to ANYONE who wants to travel to Rincon. We both would love to move to Clemente's rental, but in all reality can't wait til we plan our next vacation and are able to stay there.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Have vacationed in Puerto Rico 10 times & the Traveling Palms experience has been our favorite. Clemente has poured his heart & soul into making Traveling Palms a tropical paradise escape for visitors and has succeeded. The villa is tastefully decorated, spacious & comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped & modern. Clemente provides nice bedding, linens & towels to make your party feel right at home. The pool/tiki bar scene is an OMG attraction. Our young daughter spent hrs. befriending the neighbors horse & picking fresh fruits on the property. The nature views on the property are stunning. Plant lovers & gardeners will be in heaven during their stay. Traveling Palms is secluded yet very convenient to all the attractions Rincon has to offer. My family gives a big applause & thanks to Clemente's Traveling Palms vision & hospitality.Did you find this review helpful? I have traveled to Rincon 5 times now and this is by far the best place I have stayed at. We stayed in the single villa, which is perfect for couples or friends. The property itself is beautiful and surrounded by many different types of fruit trees. Clemente already had avocados waiting for us, which we quickly made home made guacamole. There is a big starfruit tree out front, which the horses next door love. The suite has nice clean sheets/blankets, towels, and a nice size kitchenette to make food at home. Clemente is a wealth of information and knows the best places to eat, shop, and things to do when the surf is flat. On top of it all he has the best surfboards to rent in town. Everything from shortboards, longboards, and SUP for when the surf is flat. Everything is right here!!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

It was the perfect location to stay at - near beaches, restaurants, bars. The house was beautiful as well as the land that it's on. Clemente was awesome - had everything set-up. Very helpful - had maps and magazines with information about the island and also Rincon in particular. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a getaway without the hustle and bustle of a hotel. The pictures do not give the house justice - it is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The salt water pool was perfect for winding down in the evening and the tiki bar that was just finished was the perfect addition.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I only have a limited space to write a review so let me put it in a quick nutshell: We are a family of 6 from Dallas...I picked this property off of reviews and I'm glad I did. This place was awesome. If you stay somewhere else you will be cheating your family out of a great vacation. Clemente and his family (Gidgi, rice and beans) are the best host hands down. The place was spotless and has everything you need to cook or grill. The pool was awesome. We used it every night. Clemente had fresh fruit for us everyday. Make sure you listen to Clemente's recommends on places to eat. AWESOME!!! I can't say enough about this property without looking like I own it....so just trust me and listen to the others that have posted here as well. You will have the best vacation at this property. We miss you and your family Clemente. Thanks for taking care of us. You are now in our top 3 vacations over the last 10 years. Great location, spacious, big bathrooms, etc. Everything was basically brand new. Clemente was a great help and friend. Always addressed any question we had and made sure the surf was amazing! This was our 5th trip to Puerto Rico in 6 years and the accomadations made it the best by far. The Traveling Palms Villa is beautiful. A hidden gem that has an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts. The house itself is roomy, super clean, comfortable and stylishly decorated. The grounds are gorgeous and vast. (my children played lacrosse and hide and seek all over the 4 acres.) The pool is perfect, clean cool and lots of lounging areas. We were close to all the great beaches and great restaurants but away from the beaten path. Clemente has everything you need. A well stocked kitchen. Beach towels, pool towels, lots of bath towels. The Green Room Board company is on the property so you can rent premium quality surfboards, paddleboards boogie boards and snorkle gear. My family told me that they never want to stay anywhere else in PR again. Traveling Palms feels like your own home in Paradise.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

My hubby and I stayed in the studio room. Even though it was the smaller accomodation, it was very nice. The villas are well built and tastefully decorated. Everything was neat and clean upon arrival and I knew right away I would feel at home. This pool is great for laying out by. It's soooo peaceful out there. Because the piece of land the villa is on is so big, you really feel removed from the crowdedness and hustle and bustle. PRICELESS! Take a nice walk around and enjoy the palm, mango, avocado, banana, and grapefruit trees that are on the property as well as the nice tropical landscape. Besides the location and quality of this villa, the owner is super friendly and very helpful. There are many great places to eat nearby that Clemente is happy to guide you to. We also followed the instructions he gives to the Waterfall. It feels like you're in Amazing Race trying to find all the landmarks ;-) Makes for a great afternoon adventure! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Rincon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at Clemenete's for his 30th birthday trip back in March, and it was epic. Clemente may not have a beach house or ocean view, but in Rincon, this is a great thing. When we were out and about in the town, we noticed that pretty much all the houses and condos by the beach were total tourist ghetto's, especially around the Steps beach area by Calypso's. Loud, noisy and crowded with drunk people. They are good party areas, but not for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. Clemente's property is huge and at the end of a cul de sac, and completely quiet, serene, and peaceful. Clemente is a great host, he's always there if you need him, but never on top of you all the time like some other B and B's and rental owners we have come across. Clemente also has great surf and snorkel equipment to rent. Our favorite thing was going snorkeling at the marina! As a tip: don't be afraid of the Rincon street food. The Comida Mexicana stand, Happy Burger, and the street-side pinchons were the best food we had! My husband and I are huge animal lovers, and sometimes it is hard for me to be away from my dogs for a long time. Clemente's dog Gidgi and cats Rice and Beans were perfect companions, and kept me from missing my furry kids at home. Rice especially loved to come around our door at 9pm for a snack; he and my husband ended up falling asleep on the couch together several times. Hope to be able to return to Travelling Palms SOOON!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

What an amazing week we had! We stayed at Clemente's Traveling Palms with our best friends, and had a great island living experience. This house is in a beautiful secluded area; it was like our own tropical playground. The house and surrounding property is impeccable. Cell phones worked well, and there is wireless internet. The pool is refreshing after a day at the beach. Gidgie the dog, was fun to hang out with, and helped us from missing our pets at home. Clemente has thought of it all! He is a great host, giving us free range to all of his fresh fruit, supplying directions to many attractions, and places to eat and drink. Great location with many beaches, bars and shops close by. We spent a lot of time at Banana Dang, The Lazy Parrot, Casa Verde, Flamboyan, (to name a few) and there is a great bakery within walking distance. We will definitely be staying here again! Thanks Clemente!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Clemente's Villas is, in my humble opinion, simply the best Puerto Rico has to offer. I have stayed with him four times and the place keeps getting better. My wife and I and our three children stayed in November and everyone loved it. Clemente knows the island and all of its best sites. His property is beautiful and peaceful, and he is the perfect host. Whether you are are surfer, or someone looking to get away from it all, you cannot do better than here. I highly recommend staying there. What bliss! Just spent 5 most wonderful days at Traveling Palms with my daughter and my best friend! Our villa had everything we needed at the end of an eventful day exploring Puerto Rico! The pool is clean and refreshing! The property is secluded and tucked away at the bottom of a driveway away from the busy road. The yard is huge; green and lush with tropical trees and flowers. The kitchen is fully stocked! The beds were comforable! The cell and wireless connection were excellent! Most important of all was that Clemente was a gracious host making sure that we were comfortable and content! (Thanks for the birthday cake, Clem) There is so much to do we intend to spend a much longer time (10 days...right, Clem?) when return to Rincon and will be sure to make our reservation at our tropical paradise, the Traveling Palms!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Susan. Susan came here for her birthday, with her daughter and best friend. The assorted cakes I gave her came from our most popular bakery, Puntas Bakery, which is just a short walk from the Traveling Palms.(great breakfast and lunch) Her son is currently living in Rincon, and was very good with the new Barrel BBQ Grill. They spent one day at the San Sabastian Water Falls about (45) mins away (driving directions provided) and another just hanging out at the pool and relaxing. But (5) days just goes to fast, and they all agreed that next trip must be a (10) day minimum and I should accept nothing less. Well we'll see about that, I'll just be happy to see them all again.

I stayed last year in October and it was one of the best times I have ever had. One is that this place is a little or rather HUGE gem. Hidden away is an unexpected paradise with a super great guy called Clemente. The place had everything you would need and more. From wonderful fruits that Clemente would just leave at my door so I can share in, to taking a dip in a salt water pool, this place is the best. My only complaint is that I could not stay for another week. Thanks to Clemente and Gidgi, plus Rice and Beans for making my little vacation with my wife and son even better!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

It has the comfort & relaxation of being at home with the pool, patios, fruit trees & tiki bar, but is also super close to all the great local attractions that you won't want to miss! We rented snorkeling gear, surfboards & soft racks from Clemente as well to scope out all the amazing reefs and hit all the beaches & breaks along the coast. We both agree that for all future trips to Rincon, we will be staying at Clemente's amazing property. We had such an all around rad time! Thanks so much. Everything about the traveling palms villa was better than described. My husband and I were very pleased with the hospitality that Clemente provided. We stayed in the 1 bedroom villa which was impeccably maintained. Our time in Rincon could not have been better. There were many things to do including surfing and horseback riding. Clemente gave us directions anywhere we needed to go and also provided us with recommendations for the best restaurants in town. This was my first homeaway stay at any property. I didnt book the time here till the last minute. Clemente was very accomodating with returning emails. I had no cell service but received emails on my blackberry. The fact that he spent the time to answer all my emails without hesitation made me feel very comfortable with our decision to stay here. Clemente's place has definately set high standards that other properties that I may go to will need to meet. My family occupied the entire bottom floor. Clemente welcomed all of us and made us feel at ease, he is an exceptional host. His home is at the bottom of the hill and very well kept, maintained and flourishing with various fruits. My Uncle enjoyed picking/eating starfruit off the tree. We were spoiled having a pool to use whenever we wanted too. The aircondition was a plus as it is hot in August. If there was something we needed Clemente was able to help us. I am looking foward to returning. The only thing that could be better would be a stronger internet connection. I wasnt able to go online with my laptop becuase the signal was weak. Luckily the Directv kept us all entertained when we spent time indoors.. The villa is close to many things and we truly enjoyed a relaxing stay here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Property and Owner can be described as one and the same and that’s "easy going". My family and I spent over two weeks at this wonderful vacation home and it was the best decision I have ever made after many visits to Puerto Rico. Clemente makes himself very accessible before and during the trip providing one with easy directions and instructions on using roads and the facilities to include suggested sites to visit. The visitor guides furnished on the coffee table came in handy but be careful the wide screen television set may distract you since it has some great movie channels! When we arrived on day one of our vacation Clemente greeted us making me feel very much at ease and setting the tone for an excellent vacation. I visit PR every year however this was the most memorable one by far. Route 413 in Rincon connects quickly to Route 115 which takes you to the many local beaches and restaurants that provide a wide variety places from secluded and public swim spots to typical Puerto Rican dishes, natural health and gourmet food eateries. I particularly liked “Bunger’s Bar & Grill” located just 5 minutes away with its over-sized burger and free public swimming pool as well. My Health conscious wife enjoyed the “Pancho Villa” Mexican Restaurant located on the plaza in downtown Rincon. They have a menu that is friendly to vegetarians without skimping in quality the atmosphere is the best and the folks that run it are great hosts. Over all I enjoyed spending time in the Rincon area and especially at Clemente’s Traveling Palms Villa when it was time to wind down and relax. This place provides a very tranquil environment and plenty of privacy to just enjoy some “one on one” time with your family. The salt pool is a plus and is very well maintained I didn’t notice any salty effects as I initially thought and in my opinion is much better than a chlorine pool the outdoor rinsing area is conveniently close by. My only advice to all is to pack lightly use flip flops and have a great time! (Hint there is some extra conveniences in the Villa to enjoy call him now) Moises OlivieriRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at the Traveling Palms with my family on July 7-12, 2010! I can not even begin to describe the beauty of this place! It was beyond perfect for our vacation! Not only the atomosphere, but the hospitality that Clemente showed us can not be surpassed! From the time we arrived in Rincon, we felt at home thanks to Clemente! He provided us with awesome directions from the airport to his wonderful home. He suggested the best places to eat, drink, and hang out. When we arrived, we found that the grounds were beautifully kept, the pool was amazing, the home was clean and beauitful! The pictures can not even begin to do this place justice- you simply MUST see it in person! It is one of the most beautiful properties in Rincon! There are fruit trees all over, huge palms, beatiful flowers blooming everywhere. Traveling plams is the perfect location, as you can drive to the beach in less than ten minutes. There are tons of restaurants close, and an amazing bakery right at the end of the driveway. We plan on returning to RIncon, and would not even begin to think of staying anywhere other than Traveling Palms! We can not wait to come back, and visit with our new friend, Clemente! Thank you again, for all of your hospitality! Can not wait to return!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Our trip this year was amazing with much homage due to Clemente’s Traveling Palms. This place was really the total package. I don’t know what to praise first; Clemente’s warm and personable attitude or his immaculate home and yard, which was the perfect vacation set up. As we pulled up to the house, Clemente and his loyal four-legged companion, Gidgi, immediately greeted us. As we unloaded the car, we took in the surroundings. Just down the yard, next door were horses feasting on mangoes (I was immediately hooked!), an array of exotic fruit and palm trees, and a salt-water pool. Then to top it off there is a bar and side-deck with a place to eat, pretty awesome! Clemente took us inside for the tour of his immaculate abode, he handed us two frosty Medallas, as well as left a bowl of freshly picked fruit from his yard! Needless to say it wasn’t hard to have anything short of an amazing time at this place! Clemente couldn’t have been more of a friendlier host, even lending us his personal spices we forgot at Econo, for a BBQ. He not only made sure we had everything we needed at the house, but helped to make sure we had an awesome time when we ventured out. Thanks again amigo! Can’t wait to come back! This is a tropical paradise! The property is beautiful: fruit trees, peace and quiet, and the most wonderful sparkling salt water pool. Impeccably maintained and very secluded and private. Clemente was a wonderful host who put us on to all the "insider" spots, and his lovely assistant (Gidgie - the dog) visited us with a warm greeting every morning at our door. My husband and I rented the studio which is very tastefully decorated and EXTREMELY clean. We also were given a tour of the one bedroom which is just beautiful. It was so sad to leave that we tried in vain to cancel reservations in San Juan just to stay a few extra days (we also thought about asking Clemente for a job so we would never have to leave). We can't wait to come back! Thanks Clemente!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Vanessa...I'm speechless and almost in tears after reading your comments and review. I enjoyed having you two as my guests as much as you enjoyed it here. And Gidgie will miss you untill your return. And Luis, as a native from Puerto Rico, it was nice to see you ( as you said ) getting back to you're roots, as you were picking mangos and star fruits prior to visiting your family in close by San Sabastian. ( home of a beautiful waterfalls ) I'm looking forward to your return. Deepest Regards, Clemente

Clemente was the perfect host, knowledgeable of the area with plenty of tips on where to go. We stayed in the one bedroom villa, with a huge living/kitchen area, gorgeous bedroom and gigantic bathroom. The place is spotless, warm and comfortable. Everything you could want, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, stove, oven, etc... even spices and some staples in the pantry! The area is most definitely a surfer's paradise and the town is a bit more american-ized than the east side of the island. We played extreme mini-golf on the side of the mountain, just up the road from the villa (cant remember the name). We have definite plans to visit the area and stay with Clemente again. We highly recommend to anyone interested. Go have a peaceful, relaxing vacation and dont forget, there is no "P" in Clemente's pool!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at Travelling Palms during the Easter week. I couldnt have been more happy with the accomodations. Rarely do you get a vacation rental in this perfect condition. The property is located on a very quiet street, on a couple of acres of manicured land. There is a nice pool out back with a tiki bar as well. You dont have to worry about privacy here, it is the last house on the road.I certainly will be back, gracias.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful setting then this is the place for you. I stayed for a week in April of 2010 and can't wait to go back. The property is extremely well maintained and the house is immaculate! Clemente is a wonderful host and told us all of the best places to visit while in Rincon. A dip in the salt water pool, surrounded by beautiful fruit trees is a perfect way to start you day and is also very soothing after a little too much sun in the evening. It's central location makes it an ideal spot for all Rincon has to offer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks you two for the wonderful review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Traveling Palms, and I am looking forward to your return. I'm glad you took the time to visit the waterfalls(and just so happened to be the only two there), the Cabo Rojo lighthouse and tried the local Stand-Up Paddleboard tour. You two sure did take advantage of every minute of your stay here in Rincon. It was a pleasure having you. I would also like to thank you for referring your brother and his girlfreind. They stayed here last week. (wow, theres no denying you two are brothers) They texted me upon there return home to tell me they had a awesome time here, and that they would also be referring the Traveling Palms to they're freinds. Thanks again, Clemente

Rarely do you find a rental house this well maintained. Clemente was very helpful with all our questions as well as ability to make you feel at home. The loction is so quiet and peaceful, we are the last house on the block. Its nice to get away from the noise of the traffic, sit back , relax by the pool , listen to the coquis. I highly reccomend this house to anyone that would like to visit Rincon, you wont be dissapointed, thanks Clem we will be back.!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
