We arrived at "Holy Cow" cabin 12/24/2011.....We walked in to find the carpets a mess....the bed was not made and sheets not changed.....Dirty bath towels were strewn around the bedroom and tub area. This place was not ready for rental. We had to leave for several hours while the cleaning person had to come back to clean. She left a note to say that the hot tub was drained and re-filled and chemicals added.....,would be ready for use in a few hours....We checked out Monday morning and the hot tub water temperature was still cold. Fireplace was not working when we arrived....fixed it myself Spoke with the owner several times.....said he was embarrassed to the 3rd power.....he never apologized. We left the place so much cleaner than we found it. He wont even return my calls!!!! Do you really want to rent this cabin????
Owner response:Our goal for each guest is a wonderful experience. In this case, the cleaning company failed to clean the cabin as scheduled. They have been replaced. We immediately responded to guest's call and the cleaning company was there in 30 minutes (on Christmas Eve). The guest discovered the pilot light on the fireplace was out and the owner walked him through how to light it (the cabin was inspected 2 days prior by the owner & it worked fine). Hot tub is new and has worked perfectly for all guests before & since. Owner spoke to guest on the phone 6 times prior to arrival and 3 times during the first hour of their visit. They made no other calls. We are sorry that the guests were disappointed with their stay but made quick resolution of all issues raised.

We really enjoyed our stay at Holy Cow!!! We have a family of 5 but still fit just fine. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and shopping was close!! We can't wait to return.

We really enjoyed spending a wonderful white Christmas in this cabin. It was exactly as we hoped it would be...cute, romantic, and woodsy. It was just perfect for the two of us, but would also be reasonable for two couples, or a small family. Loved the big whirlpool tub. The kitchen was well furnished for cooking and we enjoyed a nice dinner on the bbq. Word of warning, there are signs when entering the neighborhood warning that a 4x4 is required. Due to the snow, we would not have been able to leave had we not decided at the last minute to take our SUV.
