  I loved the location of the house and the beautiful sunset views. The house accommodated our group very nicely with the several bathrooms, washer dryer and internet service. I would definitely consider staying there again. The turtle nests/events made this entire family vacation a never forget vacation. Be prepared to bring/rent your own bikes and beach chairs. The ones at the house are not in great shape.

  Owner response: We are sorry to hear about the beach chairs. All seven were replaced at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately, they have to be replaced frequently due to heavy usage and salt exposure from the ocean (rust is a constant battle). We also replaced one adult bike this season and plan to replace another adult bike and a children's bike next spring. We appreciate all responses. These really help us address any problems we might not be aware of or might need to improve for future guests.

  Our family had a wonderful time at the Justice house. The house is right on the dunes and we very much enjoyed our stay during our second trip to Bald Head Island. Each bedroom has direct views of the ocean from the individual sliding glass doors with balconies. All of the living space is on one level (which was very nice for my in-laws). The quick and easy access to the beach was a joy for our three year old. We were very lucky and were treated to see the hatching of a loggerhead sea turtle nest that was less than 50-ft from the back deck. It should be noted that the house is an older house, but in good condition. The appliances are dated and the entire interiors is in need of some re-painting. The screened porch door and parts of the screen were out and not repaired during our visit. These were minor issues for as as the gem of the property is the island, location, and wonderful beach right behind the house.

  Our family stayed at this beachfront home the first week in June. We had 7 people (3 teenagers) and there was plenty of comfortable sleeping. The back deck overlooks the ocean and if the sun gets too hot you can move the screened porch. Very clean and comfortable home with a completely stocked kitchen. There were plenty of brand new beach chairs, floats, noodles, whatever you need to have fun at the beach. The teenagers enjoyed taking the golf cart to swim or shop. We will definitely come back to this house next year!!!

  We stayed just before Easter. The weather was a little nippy in the mornings and evenings, but perfect for mid-day. The home was very neat and clean and had great amenities, such as a grill for cooking out and hammock for laying out on the deck. If you like watching ships come and go into port, this is a great spot for ship watching.There was nobody booked for the days behind us and they even let us stay a little longer and enjoy the nice day. Overall the owners/management were very accommodating and the stay was very pleasant!

  I have rented the Justice House for 18 years for our family vacation. I have rented this from property management firms, vrbo, and even when it was not lited for rent, I tracked down the owners and pleaded to rent this house them. My family has "grown up" over the summers at the Justice House. Here's why...... with 5 children (all girls) the location on the island was very important to me due to the fact when we first started coming we wanted to be close to the Bald Head Island club mainly for the pool. We would make 3 to 5 trips to the pool every day! The 5 minute cart ride back to the house was easy to make whether it was feeding time, nap time or just time to go home. How many times did we decide to go swimming with just 30 minutes left of the pool being open - and those were the best since we would almost have the pool to ourselves that late in the day. As my girls grew older, the bikes always at the house were used all day long, including 'riding alone' to the pool. Growing older even still, now they want to drive the cart and leave Mom and Dad at home! I would enjoy how close to the golf facilities we were at the Justice House. VERY EASY to sneak away for some range balls or even a quick 9 holes in the evening. The Justice House is convenient to "Old Baldy" (which as ritual we climb every year), the marina, and the restaraunts which we love to take golf cart rides to day or night. One of the most talked about features of the house I hear from the girls talking to their friends is every bedroom has their very own deck looking out over the ocean. Absolutely breath taking every second of the day!! Even when the coastal storms would hit the island, underneath the house was a virtual playground with the "largest sandbox in the world" right under the house. At night, the large deck overlooking the ocean was wonderful. Great place for cocktails or family time in the evening, and a great place to catch the sun's rays anytime during the day. The short private walkway to the beach right behind the house is awesome! East to take the kids to beach when young, easy to 'keep an eye' on the kids from the deck as they grew older. The inside of the house is the perfect 'beach house'. Windows all across the back wall in the living area allows for breath taking views 24/7. The screened in porch is great for board games or reading. The Justice House HAS IT ALL, whether for a family or a romantic get away, trust me for 18 years it has been BOTH!

  My family of 4 (with 2 teenagers) stayed at the Justice House summer of 2010. The house was awesome! Had everything we needed and then some! Kitchen was stocked with anything you could need. Property was very clean, lots of room, and wonderful location. Loved sitting on the porches listening to the waves. Beach was amazing! Golf cart and swim club membership was included and definitely came in handy! Would love to stay here again sometime!
