Sebastopol cottage description
Located just outside of Sebastopol, gateway to the rolling hills and dramatic coastline of West Sonoma County, our cozy one bedroom, one bath cottage is nestled in a private wooded area of our one acre hillside property.
The bedroom has a queen sized bed and the living room has a queen sleeper sofa that can accommodate one or two children. We provide all sheets and towels.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave and mini washer/dryer unit. We have stocked the kitchen with tea and coffee, spices and condiments. We provide a breakfast basket upon arrival filled with fresh eggs from our resident chickens and breads from one of the fabulous local bakeries.
The cottage also comes equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player and wireless connection.
There is a beautiful deck with a table and chairs to sit out and enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the afternoon while you watch some of the more than 35 species of birds that flit through the trees or stop at one of the many feeders placed around the property. If you choose to stay in for dinner, there is a gas grill to barbeque.
We are pet-friendly and welcome one dog. Our yard is completely fenced but may not be secure, so your pup must either be crated during the day while you're gone or accompany you on excursions. We can provide a crate and comfy doggie bed.
There are many things to do in the West County from biking (bring your own or rent from the bike shop in town) to canoeing or kayaking on the Russian River to wine tasting, hiking, antiquing or spending a day at the coast. There are also several golf courses nearby, including the famous course at Bodega Bay.
We are on-site and can provide any special concierge services you require including restaurant reservations, winery itineraries, golf tee times and scenic picnic locations.
Our goal is for you to have a wonderful time, so come join us.

Lovely time at lovely cottage
Lovely time at lovely cottage
My fiance and I stayed over Christmas weekend - the cottage is adorable, very clean and comfortable, with a full kitchen, including great coffee, delicious bread from a local bakery and even more local eggs from the hens on the property. It rained for 24 hours and we had a great time hanging out inside, watching movies, cooking and lounging. The property is lovely, with a garden, walking path, a friendly doggie, wild turkeys in the morning, and beautiful views across the valley. There is loads in the area to do as well. Mary and Wayne are sweet and accommodating. In all, a fabulous spot.

Lovely little cottage in Sebastopol
Lovely little cottage in Sebastopol
My husband and I just returned from a week's stay in the cottage. Mary and Wayne were wonderful hosts. Upon our arrival they had a beautiful breakfast with eggs from their chickens, breads from local bakery, fresh strawberries, coffee, teas, butter, honey, jam. And had brochures and maps of the area waiting for us as well. The cottage is very clean, comfortable and cheerily decorated. It was just my husband and me staying but with the pullout couch in the living room you could have kids or another person/couple stay as well. The cottage is in back of the property behind the owner's house. The owner's have a very friendly dog who we were delighted to have greet us a few times during our stay. The location is great in Sebastopol - you can walk to a few restaurants and are very close to doing winery tours in the area. We rented bicycles and rode the bike trail that runs through Sebastopol (it starts in Santa Rosa about 7 miles away and ends in Forestville another 7 miles away). Sebastopol has lots of shops and restaurants. A couple of nights we got take out at Whole Foods and ate dinner at home and our last night we walked to a local restaurant. There is also a grill outside for grilling and if weather had permitted we could have sat on the deck. While speaking of weather, we did have a VERY heavy rainstorm that knocked out power and caused a water main break while we were staying. Mary and Wayne were very proactive in making hotel arrangements (and picking up the tab) for us just down the street which we only needed to do one night as both electricity and water were restored. Of course, that could happen anywhere and we were most appreciative of their quick, proactive response. Overall a great experience - we wish we could have stayed longer - I would highly recommend staying there.
