Mountain Laurel is a luxury five bedroom cottage within walking distance of the fitness center, pool, beach, and water slide. Enjoy the best of both worlds, a mountain experience in an extremely well furnished house. We offer everything that you would need for your mountain vacation, reunion, wedding, or business outing. The main floor has a master with a king bed and master bath, a large living room with new flat screen TV, a large open dining room, and full furnished kitchen. Downstairs nas a recreation room with TV and two bedroom, one with twin beds and one with a queen bed and a bathroom for each bedroom. Upstairs has a sitting area and two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and one with a king bed, and a bathroom. We supply everything that you should need from toilet paper, linens, towels, washing machine detergent, to firewood.
Big Canoe is a wild life sanctuary with plenty to do for everybody; hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, golf, tennis, fitness center with indoor pool, or just relaxing in the mountains. We have plenty of space for everybody to spread out and enjoy your vacation or weekend get away. We are located in the Laurel Ridge area close to all of the amenities, restaurants, and activities.
Enjoy the seasonal changes that make the hard wood forest of Big Canoe so unique. We are a short drive from Atlanta to the mountains of north Georgia for a truly great mountain experience.

We rented this home for a wedding weekend at Big Canoe, and the location and amenities were great. The home is just a few minutes away from the Chapel, the Chimneys, and all the other offerings of Big Canoe. The property is very clean, well-maintained and decorated, and we would not hesitate to stay here again. We would highly recommend this property to our friends, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed staying at Mountain Laurel in July 2011. The house was very clean and well kept. We had five families staying there for a wedding so parking was very difficult but we managed anyhow. We didn't like the fact that we had to pay $6each person to use the swimming pools. I would have thought this would be included in our rent.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.

Great cottage for large groups. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The property is well maintained and very clean. We love to cook when we are together with our family and although the kitchen is adequately furnished, it is not the quality we have experienced at other VRBO properties. The walk to the pool/beach is quite a "hike". The owners was very helpful with all our questions and responded promptly. We will definitely go back to this property, it must be truly spectacular in the fall.
