This was a wonderful accommodation. It was the perfect size for my family of four (with two teenagers) and the grandparents. Lots of space and the modern decor added an interesting blend of big city lifestyle and wintery chalet. The kitchen is outstanding! The open concept made it great to still enjoy the family while preparing meals. It was easy to keep tidy. It was handy to have spices, oils, etc. and all of the necessary cooking tools available. Not once did we have the experience that something was missing. The boys enjoyed skiing at Mont Orford which was very close. While the ladies enjoyed the Nordic style spa also extremely close by. Our anniversary dinner at Le Manoir Hovey (recommended by Brigitte) was the icing on the cake - pricey but well worth every penny.

It was our second time at the Lounge Cabin. It's simply beautiful, nice location by the lake, very comfortable and cozy with the nice fireplace. We had a wonderful time there. Looking forward to go again soon.

Unfortunately, we had an absolutely terrible time at this cabin. We arrived quite late, the key was not where we were told it would be. The beds were unmade and smelly sheets had been tossed onto the bed. There were only sheets for half of our group and no pillows or towels. On the eve of our departure, the owner called and told us that we would have to clean the house ourselves yet we had already paid the cleaning fee. We responded that this was not ok with us. Upon arriving home from our trip this is the response we received from the owner. My initial enquiry is also there describing my request for accomodation for 12 people. Kelley, May I tell you that you were the worst well mannered people I ever had in my beautiful house in Magog. The initial request started at 0 people, yet you were nearly 12. I will never have people like you in my house ever. I will stick to high-end guests which you do not deserve. Owner Lounge Cabin Here are the details of your inquiry Arrival Date: Departure Date: Owner Email: Traveler Name: Traveler Email: Traveler Phone: Total Children: 7 Total People: 12 Traveler Comment: How far is your wonderful house from Magog? Would you be willing to allow 12 of us to stay? Thank you for you time.

Owner response: I sent an email the day of their arrival, 12 hours prior, giving the change of plans for the key and my cell phone number. My mistake to assume everyone checks their emails regularly. There were not 7 adults 5 children but rather 12 young adults plus a baby with the hostess. There were sufficient sheets for the amount of beds. I usually do not supply sheets but I was kind enough to do so considering all the triathlon equipment the party had to fly in with. I even offered to pay, and did pay, for the missing linen the day following their arrival. As far as beds being made, may I suggest good hotels in the Magog area that also have good laundry service. I told the party on Wednesday that I did not have confirmation for cleaning, once I got turned down from the cleaning company, it me took two days to get a hold of them by phone or email. From now on, cleaning has to be reserved the date of arrival. The cleaning check was cashed the day following their departure. Hoping the team performed nonetheless well in the Magog triathlon and I am sorry that, as oppose to most guests at the Lounge Cabin, their experience was not to their expectations.

We’ve been to the lounge cabin three times and I miss it every time I come home! The peace, the light, the birds... and lakewater like silk. We’re big foodies, too, and the kitchen is perfect for cooking, even when there were six of us in there! We also went in April when there was still snow on the ground, and the fireplace was amazing. I think what we love the most is the airiness, the luminosity, and the huge expanse of deck on this spectacular but unpretentious house. I definitely recommend it!

Our family is looking forward to returning to this beautiful and sophisticated retreat. It served wonderfully last year as a location to get away with our two young children, my wife's parents and sister visiting from Africa. The owner is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It is great to have seclusion and placidity in proximity to great wines shops, gourmet food vendors, restaurants, hiking and plenty of beaches and other unique attractions. Given all of this, it is a good deal at twice the price. Looking forward to returning this year and in future.

My wife and her family always wanted to do a wine and cheese tour of Quebec so we rented this cottage (more like a mansion) near Magog and used it as our base to explore the area's culinary specialities. We were 6 children and 4 adults with plenty of room to spare. Every bedroom has an en-suite and the kitchen/living room/dining room combination makes everyone feel like you are part of the action, even when you are confined to the kitchen. The atmosphere in the house is incredible and the pictures do you give you the true sense of perfection you feel in this house. Magog was wonderful, as was the cottage, the food and renting it all was straight forward and easy thanks to the owner. We are already talking about doing it again next fall.

This is not your average cabin... My sister recommended it to me after spending a weekend there with her family earlier in the year. Seven friends and I stayed there over Halloween and we’re still talking about it. Great kitchen for meal prep, three-storey ceilings in the living room. Cozy bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms all around. Wrap around deck for BBQ parties in the summer and groovy fireplace for après-ski in the winter. We woke up to the first snowfall of the season (6 inches in Magog – none in Montreal!) and the view from our bedroom of the snow-covered pines and private lake was incredible. For the price of a cookie-cutter ski condo with neighbours on all sides, impress your friends and rent this place for the view, the spacious and stylish accommodations and, even with its floor-to-ceiling windows, complete privacy (there are no neighbours). I recommend.

If you have the opportunity to rent this house, don't hesitate. The location is ideal, the house is perfect - it's on a quiet private lake with a very nice view; a house amongst the trees. It's a short distance from Magog. Our family of 3 fit very comfortably in this nicely decorated, well-appointed house. Brigitte is very nice and really cares that you have a good stay. If we return to Magog we will be sure to rent this house again!

The lounge cabin is even more epic in person than on the website. My wife and I spent our first week of married life together in this majestic, isolated place. I like camping and she likes fancy places, so this place was a perfect compromise, as even when indoors you feel like you are in the woods with windows all around. We formed relationships with hummingbirds and woodpeckers, and down by the lake with bright frogs and little schools of fishies. The small lake is perfect for swimming--very clear, clean, warm water, and the lake bottom is sandy and rocky and NOT muddy. And there is even a rock in the lake you can climb up on and jump off! We swam every day, we did a lot of cooking in the well equipped gourmet kitchen and some occasional grilling on the gigantic deck. Finally, the highlight of the week and perhaps my life was raspberry picking down by the lake (yes there are wild raspberries all around!!) as the sun was going down on the water. We filled up two large bowls of raspberries and had an incredibly indulgent dessert. Our week went by so fast, leaving the lounge cabin was difficult. We must return to this place.

We travelled from Australia to stay in the beautiful Lounge Cabin and we had the most magical time. The owner has designed and built a stylish, unique home which sits perfectly in this landscape. Swimming in the lake with its perfect sunbaking rocks, stepping amongst the trees, spying the resident woodpecker and watching the sunset glow were all that we needed. Our sightseeing in the Magog area kind of got forgotten. I can only imagine how it would be in winter with that fabulous fireplace. I can highly recommend this property.

We stayed at the Lounge Cabin for a long weekend in June. It is living in absolute luxury, while enjoying peace and quiet in nature. The view, privacy, huge deck, fantastic bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and tasteful decor made our stay very enjoyable. You are in total peace, while being six minutes away from Magog. Loved it, wish I owned it.

The cabin was AMAZING! We were looking for a romantic getaway and at the Lounge Cabin, we found that and more. Looking at the photos on the website we were expecting a great stay but reality is that our experience was even greater. We spent our days right next to the fireplace, sipping wine and looking at the nature through the amazing window walls that allow the natural light to fill in the place. Location was very convenient, far away from the city, yet close to everything, supermarket, SAQ, videoclub, etc. We are now planning a stay with friends during Fall. We strongly recommend the Lounge Cabin.
