Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lord's View Cabin! Extremely clean and comfortable with a magnificent view to match. Cabin is conveniently located near Blue Ridge and easily accessed off of Highway 60. Thanks Tommy and Sondra! We stayed at the cabin for 6 days. The cabin was very comfortable and spacious with all the amenities you could wish for. It was cold and snowy during our stay but the cabin stayed warm and cosy. The fire was wonderful and the ready supply of wood under the porch made it easy to to keep burning. The porch areas were very spacious with swings, rockers, tables and gas grill making it a perfect place to sit out and enjoy the scenery ( no bears but we did see a dear). The location of the cabin was fabulous. Very private but not isolated and only a short drive to the stores and Blue Ridge. The access to the cabin is a little steep but even in the rain and snow was not a problem in our 4 wheel drive. Blue Ridge itself is small and pre-season was very quiet. A few specialised shops and restaurants in the centre. Ingles, the closest grocery store to the cabin (5 mins drive) is amazing. Fresh food and salad and even a Starbucks. There is a Walmart and a variety of fast food restaurants within a 10 / 15 min drive from the cabin as well. While there are lots of outdoor activities for the warmer months, it was perfect at this time of year for a relaxing break in the mountains. The owners were very helpful and answered any queries we had very quickly. This is the 5th trip to the mountains and we found this one of the most comfortable cabins we have stayed in and the most relaxing trip to date. We would love to stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented this cabin for a weekend getaway with 3 married couples and it served it's purpose. The owner's were very helpful during the booking process. The cabin is set up with a bedroom and bathroom on each floor which is helpful for couples but the main floor bedroom has very little privacy. The hot tub was wonderful! Very private and roomy. I also loved the hammock. The gas fireplace made it a breeze to start a fire. Overall a very good experience. This cabin is very convenient to town and a grocery store yet still feels secluded.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving holiday! The cabin well exceeded our expectations. It had a beautiful view on every floor. We enjoyed the rocking chairs and swinging on the porch. The kids and adults enjoyed the outdoor fire every night...sitting around relaxing and making s'mores. The cabin was clean and spotless from the living area to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was perfect...secluded and quiet but not too far from the town entertainment in Blue Ridge. Our only issue was the road leading up to the cabin. The incline with dirt and gravel created a slight problem the first trip up. Despite having an SUV, it was still a small challenge. Aside from the road, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend to anyone considering this cabin!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Really nice cabin. Had all the amenities vacationers could ask for. Plenty of room for families to either be together or just be on their own for quiet moments. Outdoor theme was so comforting with each floor consisting of its own personal wildlife theme. Beautiful sunsets from the balconys. Very quiet location. No neighboring cabins within eyesight, just the lovely sounds of nature all around you. Close and easy drive to town and recreational activities. Needs to have a little work done on the final few feet of unpaved road leading to cabin. Once you get over the first time drive up the roadway, you kind of get used to it, but still get that oh boy here we go again feeling.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a great cabin. It has everything you need and is not in one of those cabin clusters. It was spotless and had plenty of entertainment for kids. Close to Blue Ridge where we found some great local restaurants.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

What an amazing weekend trip!!! Everything you will need is already here. From the moment we walked thru the front door, we felt SO welcomed. The hot tub was definitely the highlight of our getaway! We enjoyed cooking, even though we were disappointed that the grill gas was out. I must say everything was very clean and easy to keep clean. There is a nice game room, and cable in all rooms. We liked this house over most rentals bc they actually had 1 King and 2 Queen beds-perfect for 2 or 3 couples. The view is great and it's so quiet-no other houses around. We only left the house twice, and that was to get wine from Ingles (the only store except a dollar general). The one thing missing was an outdoor fire pit area-but there is a huge indoor fireplace. We will be back, and I recommend this beautiful home. Jamie LackeyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

My family and I stayed at this cabin the week after Christmas to celebrate the holidays and my dad's 80th birthday. The cabin was very clean and even nicer than the pictures showed. When we arrived the lights on the Christmas tree were on and music playing on the tv....it was a perfect greeting! We loved the spaciousness of the cabin, we had plenty of room for together time and room to spread out. We can't wait for our next visit!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: Sondra and Tommy live just outside Atlanta in Kennesaw, GA. As empty nesters, when Tommy isn't working and Sondra isn't in school, we love to vacation. We enjoy the beach, cruises and quite get-away vacations to places such as Blue Ridge.
Why the Owner Chose Blue Ridge:
We love the North GA mountains! While renting a cabin on the Taccoa River one fall, we fell in love with the beauty of North GA with the rivers and mountain views. That's when we decided to buy our paradise in the mountains. Blue Ridge is such a beautiful place to 'get away'.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
When we first saw our cabin, we both immediately decided it was the one. It felt like home. The location is secluded and quiet, making for a peaceful place to relax. Yet it's close to so many things to do: shopping, rafting, boating, fishing, and so many more other things. We're very blessed with Lodge on Lord's View.
