The loft apartment was fantastic, and the view of Notre Dame was stunning. We have been to Paris several times and this was by far the best location we have stayed. The apartment is so centrally located that we did not even feel the need to take the Metro until 4 days into the trip. The other thing that made the stay exceptional was dealing with Victoria. She could not have made our stay any more convenient, from her communication to picking us up at the airport. Victoria was extremely easy to work with and I highly recommend renting from her as you can tell that she really takes pride in what she does.

Great experience...very glad we stayed here instead of hotel. The apt is 88 steps up...so you.need to be reasonably fit to come and go. Two sleeping areas...one in loft and one downstairs...both with very comfortable double beds. Kitchen has every thing you need for making light bfast or lunch. Wireless is fast. Plenty of hot water...large shower downstairs...smaller one up. One toilet off LR...works well for sharing. The owner is an interesting guy from his stuff. We spent hours just appreciating his funky sense of style and art. Great cheese bread and wine stores a block away, close to metro and all the sites. Victoria who.manages the property.is fun and efficient....would stay there again. We also were very purposeful about selecting restaurants...and left the list in the guest book for future renters

My wife and I stayed here with our two sons (ages 13 and 8) for a week in July 2011 and would have stayed forever. The apartment is charming with eclectic decor, exposed beams, a nice bedroom with big windows, and a comfortable (though small) loft bed. The loft bed sleeps two kids comfortably, two adults is a squeeze but doable. The loft is lovely with a view through a slanted roof window on to the Seine and the flying buttresses at the back of Notre Dame. The view downstairs from the small kitchen and living/dining room is the same but from the loft the view is so wide that it feels like you could step from the loft onto the roof of Notre Dame. From the side window of the loft there is a distant but unobstructed view of the Eiffel tower and the owner has placed an antique telescope near the window for magnifying the already stellar views. The neighborhood is ideal. You step out of the door and you are in one of the two or three most charming spots in Paris. Perhaps most importantly, the property manager, Victoria, is exceedingly friendly, competent, and helpful. She met us at the airport with a van and dropped us off at the airport at the end of our trip. She was at the ready with any questions or concerns (though none arose during our week). A mid-week clean-up was included. We were very happy with our rental and would strongly recommend it to others.

My family (wife, 11 y.o. daughter and myself) spent a week here and we loved this apartment--would definitely stay again. The decor is sophisticated and whimsical, with lots of art, statuary and books. My daughter took over the upstairs loft while my wife and I stayed in the master bedroom. There is only one toilet on the main floor, but each bedroom has a sink (his and hers in the master bath) and nice shower. There is also a well stocked library in French and English should you decide to stay in (but you are in Paris!). Paris, or at least the heart of it, is just outside the windows. Notre Dame and the Seine are perpetual sources of enchantment entirely visible from the windows of the apartment (and the Eiffel Tower can be seen at a distance from an upstairs window). (If you need absolute silence to sleep, you might find the noise from the Seine crowd/Notre Dame a little loud--we were there Easter week so there were more bells than usual and more kids, but we didn't mind.) The kitchen has everything you need for making a family meal and we made several dinners there. Great bakery nearby (Eric Kayser artisan boulangerie) as well as a wonderful open air market and a local butcher, green grocer, wine shop and cheese shop. Les Ronchons, just up the street, had good regional fare and is open 7 days a week if you feel like wandering out for a bite (and there are plenty of other good options within walking distance). The Isle de Cite, Isle St. Louis (berthillon ice cream!), all the Latin Quarter are within minutes of setting out on foot. For longer journeys, the Metro is convenient and easy to maneuver even if you have limited French. As others note, this apartment is on the 4th floor and so if you have physical issues you may want to look elsewhere. But if your idea of visiting Paris is walking through museums, hours of shopping or sightseeing by foot, or just drifting through neighborhoods of the city, you won't have any problems. If you want a place that is special, inside and out, and centrally located you won't be disappointed. We had a great time here! Thanks for sharing your home.

Astaire and Audrey Hepburn in Paris--the height of romance. This is the apartment I imagine Fred would be living in--and staying in this unbelievable location was like being in a dream. Going to sleep with Notre Dame across the street, the Eiffel Tower glittering in the distance--those are memories to cherish! We didn't dance our way to all the local sights, but we could walk just steps into the heart of Paris. The apartment has all the amenities we could wish but most of al it overflowed with charm. Would your like to feel you're in that movie? This is the place!!

I have already used that flat two times and am everytime amazed by the location and the romantic view over the river Seine, les bateux mouche, Notre dame, the roofs of Paris... If you dream of something Parisian and Romantic this is it! Unfortunately I had to work when I went there! The decoration is a well organised accumulation of pieces of Art and esoteric objects from all over the world. Laurent It can easily accomodate 2 couples as the loft above provides a real independant space. Needless to say that you are in the heart of everything. Across the bridge you will access l'ile Saint Louis and Le Marais. From that side of the Seine you will discover the 5th area, Saint Germain des Pres, Saint Michel...all these names which sound so Parisian. If you like to make you own cooking go to the open skie market place Maubert (end of the street), or if you prefer to experience some great restaurants, the options are so numerous...And for the first time in my life I enjoyed washing my dishes as you will do it while watching through the windows the boats on the river, Notre dame and its ringing bells! I will definitely recommend it to a friend and will intend to use it more often when I will come to Paris. The owner has been very helpful and available to provide the support required. I wish you will have the chance to experience it!

This is a very romantic spot for a couple. At night you have Notre Dame with lights, the Eiffel Tower with sparkles and a beautiful Seine River during the day. The 88 steps to the apartment become easier every day and the kitchen is a delight for any size meal. This unit is on two levels with an inside circular staircase and being a fourth floor (our fifth floor) walkup is not appropriate for anyone with physical limitations. The double bed on the second level is in an open area that is the living room and while it probably would not work for another couple, it might be great for kids. There is only a washing machine, no dryer, so clothes must be hung to dry. This works well if you have 24 hours. Also, there is no air conditioning. It can get hot, but the manager, Victoria (she wants to please) can bring fans over. If you open windows there is street noisy. Very quite with windows closed. If you are in good shape, like eclectic design (lots of stuff and art) everywhere in your living quarters and want to be in the center of action, this is a really great spot. Bon voyage.

this is a fourth floor walkup, so that's the one caveat. but whatever - everything else was great: clean, cozy, comfy, roomy for the two of us (with a bed and 2nd bathroom in the loft upstairs that could have been used for another couple easily), just like in the pictures. victoria was wonderful, picking us up from cdg, and a fount of helpful info. the location was amazing, - a block away from boulangeries, restaurants, metro, 3x a week farmer's market, across the river from notre dame, etc. we would certainly come back to this same unit again, if it were available!...
