Our stay at this lovely "Garden Suite" was simply perfect. The suite is casually elegant, very well equipped, and located near shops and restaurants. The owners were helpful and considerate of privacy. We will definitely be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a lucky break ! We almost pulled the trigger on a downtown Vancouver hotel reservation for my wife and I to explore Vancouver B.C.. At the last minute my wife says, "we should check out V.R.B.O." That is how we found Leslie & Rodney's Garden Suite within minutes by bicycle of the city and all the bike trails in Stanley Park. The suite itself was immaculate, recently remodeled in craftsman style and very private, homey, and comfortable. The fireplace kept us toasty on the winter evenings in this quiet but upscale neighborhood of Kitsilano, and we were within a few blocks of theatres, Grandville Island, charming family-owned restaurants, and the cool shopping district on West 4th Avenue. The suite was generously and thoughtfully supplied and the bed was ultra comfy. We wanted for nothing. We planned to do several days on the bike trails but found ourselves sleeping in daily and spending time in the suite and the neighborhood instead. Having the friendly family owners upstairs was handy when we needed advice or information, which they kindly offered when asked. I doubt we'll ever stay anywhere else when we visit this grand city in the future. -Tom & MaryRecommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I were in Vancouver on business and the hotel doubled our rate after the first night. We were lucky to find Leslie's property and had a great stay. The pictures do not do justice to the amount of space in the unit. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The location was great. We would definitely stay again but plan for more time to explore the area 3 days was not enough!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This garden suite was everything we hoped for. We did not rent a car as we enjoy walking, so found that the suite is in a great location for the beach area, shopping, buses, coffee shops, places to eat and grocery stores. We loved the quiet street and trees. The suite is in perfect condition and was extremely clean with good quality linens, towels, kitchen equipment and dishes. We especially loved spending time in the yard enjoying the sunshine and looking at the well kept garden which has beautiful trees, shrubs and gorgeous flowers. All the photographs of the property were accurate and the interior of the suite is in great condition. Leslie made us feel very welcome, was available to answer questions and make some suggestions but respected our privacy too. It was a pleasure to talk to her and her adorable children. We loved our stay at the Garden Suite. This suite was beautiful, clean, and had all we needed. It was quiet and beautiful yet only a few minutes to walk to shops, restaurants and the beach/waterfront. Our hosts were warm, friendly and gracious and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely recommend this option to friends and hope to be back ourselves in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

If you're looking for first-class, clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation with plenty of free, street surface parking in a convenient, well-to-do and affordable environment this is the place - right in the heart of Kitsilano !!. If you're checking the photos, rest assured the property is as (or better than) depicted. Quite simply, I would absolutely stay there anytime (I have full intentions to do just that) and would very highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We rented the garden suite as the first dwelling here in Vancouver. Everything in the house were well prepared in tidy manner. The house offered quiet gentle atomosphere where we could relax immedately and ease fatigue which visitors might often feel in foreign countries. The owner is very kind and cooperative!!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden suite. It was well equipped and very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and having the ensuite laundry was great.The suite is in a very nice safe area close to some of the shopping, dining. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Leslie's Kitsilano Garden Suite. The suite is tastefully decorated and cozy. It is very well appointed with modern conveniences. The proximity to the shops on Broadway and 4th make it a convenient location. Leslie and her family are welcoming and lovely . We stayed in this suite for 6 weeks in late 2011, during renovations to our Vancouver townhouse. This suite is very nicely decorated and well- maintained. It is purpose-built as an independent apartment. Amenities like a full-sized washer/ dryer and well-supplied kitchen facilities were appreciated, as were Wi-Fi and good channel selection. It is located on a quiet, safe residential street, with easy, free parking. The owners are very professional, helpful, and friendly. We like to walk, and found it well located for access to shopping, theatre, and restaurant areas (South Granville and 4th Avenue). We also found it a reasonable walk to Kits beach. It is a very easy walk to major bus routes. We found ourselves looking forward to our return to this home each evening. We would certainly recommend it to a friend or relative.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

We loved the Garden Suite, ideally situated in Kitsilano and close to transit to explore further. The Garden Suite served as an excellent home base for our Vancouver sightseeing and getting together with local friends. The owner was very nice and eager to help us enjoy our stay in Vancouver. I recently stayed in this Garden Suite with my husband and 6 month old twins. The place is fabulous and the owners went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They loaned us all sorts of baby gear (crib, swing, high chair etc.), which made life so much easier for us. The location is great and the suite itself is in very good condition. It has everything you could need or want- kitchen, laundry, free wireless . . . We even hosted a little get together while we were there and the place accommodated our friends and their children nicely. Overall and excellent stay and we would gladly rent this suite again in the future!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

"The best find ever" describes this rental. While having a reno done; we needed a temporary home and we definitely felt at home in this beautifully appointed and equipped suite. It was two weeks of total comfort! Our hosts were very warm and welcomed us as extended family. They went out of their way to accommodate all our needs. The location is perfect for travellers. It is in a quiet area, close to some of the best shopping, fine dining and ethnic restaurants and convenient for transportation to the rest of the city. The photos say it all. You won't be disappointed.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The suite was immaculate, the descriptions were very accurate. The photos of the place were perfect. The property was clean, very well maintained and quite. The owners were helpful, friendly and always made sure everything was good. Parking was never a problem. I have lived most of my life in Vancouver and this was always an area I loved. It is close to my family, friends and everything I enjoy doing. This is a great apartment, done to high specifications. The suite is in a leafy, quiet neighbourhood, but within reach of Kitsilano beach and great shops and restaurants on Broadway and 4th. It's also a short bus-ride to Downtown. The hosts were really friendly and helpful with advice. We chose this suite as an alternative to staying in the downtown Vancouver hotels for an engineering conference and vacation. The Kitsilano location means you can walk just a few short blocks to grocery shopping, pubs, & drug stores, and the residential location is an easy launching point to downtown Vancouver, Granville Island, and Stanley Park (all less than 10-minutes away) by car or nearby bus routes. The suite is very clean, and the property descriptions are quite accurate. The suite is spacious and the amenities are better than any hotel in the same price range. The owners were helpful and friendly, but at the same time were so discrete that we only saw them twice over eight days. Parking is on-street, but the residential road has little traffic and we never had a problem finding a place right in front of the residence. If we visit Vancouver in the future, we would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment has been fabulously redone, with all the features and supplies you'd need to make your stay comfortable. The owners were very friendly, providing anything we need and lots of advice on what to do and the best ways to get there. The cute neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance to lots of shops and restuarants. We loved our time in Vancouver and our stay at the Kitsilano Garden suite. The owners of the suite are incredibly kind and helpful. The suite is in a beautiful neighborhood with restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and even a farmer's market (on Sunday) within walking distance. We loved being able to go out for the day on an adventure and then come back 'home', rest and make dinner or relax before going out for the evening. The suite is absolutely lovely and has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Whenever we ran into the owners, they would even check to make sure that we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Vancouver!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This suite was beautiful, immaculate and very well appointed. The surrounding grounds were also beautiful and made it welcoming for us to sit outside on a sunny afternoon. We couldn't have asked for more for our little family of three. We fell in love with the home and the surrounding area. Besides being able to explore Kitsilano on foot, the nearby public transportation made it easy for us to get around to downtown and other areas. If you want good food, there's plenty around in walking distance. The owners were very helpful and had great suggestions for food, parks, and anything else that would help keep our 3 yr old happy! We felt like we could live there. I would highly recommend this suite if you're visiting Vancouver and want a quiet neighborhood to come "home" to after a day of exploring.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
