Check out the map and it's close proximity to, well, most everything. This nicely appointed lake home has everything you need for a relaxing week at Lake Norman, yet feel close to all conveniences.

We've just returned from a fantastic week at this home! We greatly appreciated the fact that the house is very up to date and is beautifully furnished, yet we still felt very much at home and comfortable with our young children. There were many special touches that helped, such as the labeled drawers and cabinets, iPod docks in all the rooms, the landscape lighting for at night, and the wood already set up in the fire pit. I would recommend this house to anyone, and we hope to return!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family of 8 (3 couples, an 18 year old and a 1 year old) enjoyed a week at this charming lake norman home in early June of this year. The home is clean and was ready at the appointed time. There are three average-sized bedrooms which are well appointed along with a suite in the lower level. The couple with the 1 year old were all together downstairs and that worked out very well providing separation for naps, etc.. Outside, the wonderfully grassy, landscaped, and shaded backyard slopes down to the lake. There is a large 2-level deck/patio area on the back of the house where we used the excellent gas grill for salmon steaks, burgers, etc. Moving on toward the lake there is a large nice hammock and a ~12 X 20 lower patio area with a fire pit. We enjoyed having a fire nearly every night down by the lake. There was even abundant firewood! At the shore there is a U-shaped dock to house a pontoon boat (the owner of the home recommended a place to rent a pontoon boat and they were wonderful to work with and even delivered and picked up the boat!). There is also a fantastic swimming platform that is approximately 15 X 15 that made a great place for the family to swim when we weren't in the boat. The cove is quiet and safe enough for open water swimming and yet close to the main water for tubing. The only niggle in the entire experience is the tap water. For our group anyway, the tap water was simply not suitable for drinking necessitating the purchase of bottled water for the week. Overall, we had a fantastic week at the this lovely lake home who's owners make the effort to keep the property in tip top condition. Our group all loved the place and all said they would happily return. You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We booked the house for our son's graduation from Davidson College. Being an extended family of ten, we didn't want to all be in hotel rooms, behind separate doors when we had spare time to spend with each other. The house was just perfect, quiet, very well-appointed, impeccably clean, and the owners very gracious and obviously caring about the property. They accommodated us with turnkey finesse. We loved the lake and the indoor and outdoor rooms for us all to spread out and relax. The open plan main floor with outdoor deck accommodated visitors and family with ease. I regret we didn't find this gem earlier in our son's college career, but we'll find a reason to return soon.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We celebrated a dear friend's upcoming wedding with a girl's weekend getaway. The house was exactly what we were looking for - relaxing, beautiful views on the water, and close to restaurants/shops. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. We had such a great time and would highly recommend this house to others looking to stay in the Lake Norman area. We might just make it an annual trip now!!Recommended for: Girls getaway.

We can't thank you enough for our tranquil respite by the lake. The house was so beautiful and beautifully appointed that some days we didn't want to leave our little vacation oasis. You guys really thought of everything to make us feel comfortable, welcome, and totally stress free. The lights were on when we arrived after dark. We couldn't have asked for more.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Thank you for these days for our family to make special memories.I have been coming to Lake Norman since it was made - my children came every summer growing up, but our friends sold their home to go to a retirement home. So it was very special for my mom-great grandma to come for a few days along with my children and two grandchildren. The downstairs was excellent for 6 year old twins and parents. it is actually good for older kids, too. Thanks again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We truly enjoyed our girls' weekend in your lovely home. It is so nice to be able to rent a house so well furnished and stocked with books, movies, and games. Even in winter we were able to settle in and enjoy the space with a lovely fire as well. We would definitely like to come visit again someday.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family met my aunt, her three children and their families here. It was the best vacation EVER! The house was amazing. Don't let any of the pictures fool you, there is plenty of space! We had 10 people and there was always somewhere to go to get away. The ENTIRE back yard is shaded, which was perfect for the kids. When you want the sun, just head to the floating dock. My 3 and 5 years olds were jumping from the side for the first time ever. The water around the dock is deep and perfect for swimming and jumping. The lake is awesome, the are is quiet. It is centrally located to almost anything you would want to do or see. Our family did next to nothing the entire week except enjoy the house, the lake and the shade. You can come here and be entertained at the house all day, everyday. I just can't say enough. Literally everything was awesome!!!! When you visit, be sure to sign to guest book that our family purchased and left. We wanted to leave something nice for the wonderful home owners. What could be better than a book filled with everyone's experiences. Rent this place....you will be so glad you did!!! We will see you again next year!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: As newly weds, we have felt it important to have a place for our family of 7 to enjoy each other or invite friends. Even though we have been in this lake house for only four years, my family has been a part of this cove since 1980. We realize the importance of having family and friends come from anywhere on the East Coast with little inconvenience.
Why the Owner Chose Mooresville:
Raising a family of water lovers, we enjoy fishing, water skiing, wake boarding, and even barefoot water skiing. It is important to be able to hit the water when conditions are optimal or be able to experience the peace and quiet of the cove while enjoying an incredible view. We are located in a no wake zone which provides safer recreational conditions, but only 150 yards from jet skiing or boating. You can then jump in the car or boat and be 5 minutes from your favorite dinner or shopping spot. A great location is a convenience that is hard to place a value on.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Being an open water swimmer and kayak enthusiast, this quiet cove has provided a great place for years of exercise and recreation. The terrific view without rough water is the perfect vacation venue. Only 25 minutes from Charlotte and 5 minutes from all conveniences returns us to the word 'location'.
