Why the Owner Chose ZwolleNeeded a Home away from Home. I always loved going to Toledo-Bend because I could fish, ski and just get away for a couple days. Toledo-Bend was close enough to drive and yet far enough to call it a vacation.
The Unique Benefits at this CabinLove to wake up and drink coffee in the swing on the patio and have a fish fry in the evening after a good day of fishing. Its also great if you want to BBQ or have a crawfish boil outdoors. I've had a great time doing it all.

Thanks Ms Julie for a wonderful place to relax and fish. My wife and I stayed 4 days with another couple and really enjoyed ourselves. I pulled my boat and launched close by and tied up on the propery. We fished and relaxed and relaxed and fished. The cabin and property is very well kept up. Very clean and comfortable, just like the pictures show. Good price for a great place. I would recommend it to anyone.

I forgot to mention this in my first review and I feel it may be beneficial to others.... When you look for vacation homes, you never know if what you see in pictures is what you will find when you get there...well, what you see here is what you get. The pictures on the ad are exactly what you will find in the house. The only difference now from the pictures shown outside..is that the lake is completely full, which is great for fishing. You don't see all those stumps anymore, so you must idle out until you get to the markers. Thanks again!

I would like to say that Daydreams was a great place for our Easter vacation. It's very relaxing with a home-like feel to it. My teenagers had a great time in the paddle boat and fishing from the back yard where they caught bass, catfish, and hand-sized brim...not to mention, the bass fishing around that area was great. My husband caught a 4lb 10oz bass like two minutes from the house along with several 2lb bass we caught the four days we were there. The place has everything you need...the only slight down side (my opinion) is I wish there was dock of some sort, but we pulled up to the bank with no problem and kept our boat tied up every night we was there...So don't forget to bring your boat! The price is great for a place like this where you can just come to kick back, relax and fish. We got to meet Julie while we were there...she is just a trip!! You'd wanna hang out with her all day..lol..just a great, down-to-earth woman that wants to make sure your stay is the best it can be....(It was a pleasure meeting you). It was so great staying there, we are looking to come back next month (taking advantage of the 10% discount). I would highly recommend this location, especially to those with children because it is private and you won't have to worry about your children fishing or playing in the yard. Thanks again Julie for allowing us to enjoy your home:) See ya soon!

We recently stayed for a week on this property while fishing on the lake. The cabin was very enjoyable and was everything a couple with or without kids would want. The property is in a nice neighborhood that is quiet and peaceful. Hopefully in the years to come we will be able to enjoy it again. If you are looking for a nice quiet clean place to stay I highly recommend this property.

My husband and I rent vac houses a couple times a year and I have to say this is the cleanest and most homey house we have stayed in. In addition to that, the location is perfect for a get away. Nothing better than having your morning coffee on the swing and hearing nothing but the birds sing and watching the sunrise, We didn't want to leave. Thanks Julie, we had a wonderful time!
Owner response:Thank you so much Amy. I wanted to call to check on ya'll but all I had was your work number saved in the computer. I love to hear that you felt comfortable and at home at the Lakehouse. Thank-you, thank-you for your nice words. I hope to see ya'll again. I give 10% discount to all my returning guest. Hope to hear from you in the near future. Julie

My family would like to take this time to thank-you deeply for letting us enjoy your house for this past New Years weekend. We usually stay at Wildwood or Cypress Bend for our mini vacations, but this time we wanted to try something new. We found your house on HomeAway.com and now that we have done so there is no question of where we will be staying in the future. We loved that it was located at the dead end of the road, on the water. It made our stay very peaceful and relaxing. We didn't have to worry about our daughter and her friend playing in the yard. We felt very safe and secluded and yet it was located so close to everything. It was very nice having a store 1/2 mile down the same road that carried everything from bait to great plate lunches. Also, it was nice to have a boat launch that close to the house. The kids had a blast shooting fireworks for New Years. The house was very clean and cozy just like the pictures described. The house had everything we needed and we had the best nights sleep. The beds were so comfy. Definitely had a great weekend experience. The owner checked in on us to make sure everything was just right for us. This was something we did not expect from an owner. I was very impressed. Thank you again Ms. Julie. I almost forgot to thank you for the welcome package. That was the icing on the cake. P.S. My husband said to tell you if you ever want to sell it, you better let us know first. REALLY! Again thank you. Shannon & John

We arrived at place Friday evening got to catch first sunset nice. The water level was way low. Place was clean and ready to enjoy. The pictures don't do this place justice. Ms.Julie checked with us to see if everything was okay...thanks. We enjoyed almost every meal outside and at night used the outside fire pit great little jem in area. Very quiet and peaceful spot. We took walks around property and enjoyed sunset from the a spot about 200 ft from doorstep beautiful. Nice getaway. I would recommend this property to anyone. Thanks Julie, Trey Kraemer

Thank you Julie. Your place was just what I was looking for: a cozy get-away to spend some time with my soldier/daughter. If I have the opportunity to visit her again I will definitely give you a call. The morning walk on the beach (since the water is so low at this time) was lovely. Stores were handy and the outside fire place was perfect. Sue

I have to say, this was an amazing find. You never know if what is advertised is really what you get. Well, in this instance it is everything and more. Thank you to the owner for her help and cooperation in allowing us to experience a wonderful time. The house was very clean & quite spacious. It was appropriately decorated for a lakeside house and in excellent repair. In addition, we were able to visit many local attractions from this location including: the Alexandria Zoo (an amazing place in itself), an alligator park, a native people's cultural center, a plantation, a parade/local festival, a town where a movie was made, and so much more. There certainly was lots to choose from. Plus experiencing some of the local cuisine was an adventure in itself. We also enjoyed just being in the house and not having to go anywhere. Only downside to trip was that water level was so low due to the extended drought in the region. I do hope they get rain soon. The Toledo Bend Lake would have offered even more things to do had the water levels been normal. Again, I can't say how amazingly wonderful this place is...I guess the best I could say is that I would certainly consider renting it again if our soldier remains at Ft. Polk. It was great to be able to bring our soldier's dog with us, too, so we could enjoy a bit of home away from home. It was a wonderful get away weekend which is what I was after for our soldier. Thanks again to the owner for letting us rent this place I would recommend to my friends & relatives if they're headed in that direction.

My husband and I stayed at "Daydreams" for a long weekend. The cottage was clean and beautiful both inside and out. The decor had a very homey feel and was extremly in keeping with the wonderful location. Besides the fact that the cottage was just a short walk to a very private part of Torlendo bend, (a fantastic spot to view some of the best sunsets we have ever seen) it was also on a dead end street, which was wonderful for our young son who was able to play safely without myself or my husband having to worry, the play equipment in the yard was again an added bounus. The owner Ms. Julie had thought of everything we needed for our stay - Local restaurant menu's, the nearest gas station etc, first aid kit ( again another added bonus, for people who have young children) the welcome basket complete with a bottle of wine was very much appreciated! My husband and I love to travel and this is a house we will definatly be visiting again.
