The Cannery Inn experience was wonderful. The Bamboo Suite was just what we wanted in our vacation accomodations. Away from the hustle of tourist crowd nestled in a Bamboo forest with local flavor and history. The atmosphere was quite, peaceful with gentle sea breezes. Located convenient to a variety of activities and towns. We traveled the whole island from this location. There was no detail left out.If your looking for a true Maui experience you will not be disappointed. We couldnt have asked for a more gracious host. Thanks Bennie for a wonderful experience. See you next time RobertRecommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family of five stayed at the Meadow Cottage and had a great time. It's very convenient to Haiku grocery stores, gas and Makawao town. We just had fun staying on the property. The cottage is in a spectacular setting and even though we had places to go to we frequently ended up staying at the cottage longer. The Meadow Cottage is comfortable, airy, and light with beautifully hand-crafted Hawaiian-style furniture and hardwood floors, from trees cleared from the property.South-facing windows have an awesome view of Haleakala, and east-facing windows offer early morning views of the Hawaiian sunrise. The property was teeming with papayas, bananas, grapefruit, and lychee, which our family enjoyed daily. The kitchen was fully stocked for family cooking, which we did when possible to save money with family and friends. We definitely recommend this beautiful, quaint cottage for families. Please treat the place with respect so that we can go back to the same well-kept Haiku retreat on our next trip.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My daughter and I had an idyllic four day stay at the Haiku Cannery Inn. The property is well landscaped, and with very few mosquitoes, which made sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs so restful.. The Bamboo suite was immaculate, and tastefully furnished. Benni, our host, was most gracious and thoughtful. She kept our cottage well stocked with fresh local fruits, yogurt, granola, and pastries (turnovers from Home Maid Bakery, what a treat!). Being located in cool, green Haiku, we were close to the beach, shopping and made the trek to see the sunrise at Haleakala doable (one hour to the summit, as opposed to 2.5 hours if we'd stayed in Lahaina). We highly recommend Haiku Cannery Inn. Thank you Benni, we enjoyed your hospitality very much.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

"My sister and I was so happy to find Haiku Cannery Inn. Not only was it close to the beaches and shops but also the North Shore, Hana Highway and Haleakala. It was a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful historic plantation home with an ocean view from the veranda. Our host, Benni, was really wonderful and charming and really made us feel at home. Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable and the inn was set off the main road so it was really quiet. Our breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, cereals, and local breads and all at a super reasonable prices. We will for sure stay here again on our next visit to Maui."
