Our Taos home is conveniently located on a quiet, private 1/3 acre cul-de-sac lot southwest of the Historic Plaza. It has a great location, just an 8 minute walk to the Plaza where you will find shops, art galleries, museums, bookstores and restaurants. You can head north 20 miles to the world famous Taos Ski Basin (now allowing snowboarding) or take short drives to the Taos pueblo, Rio Grande gorge and the Taos Country Club championship golf course.
Our home has great views of the surrounding mountains and our private yard contains: two portals; a new 6 person outdoor hot tub (a must after a day on the slopes or a round at the golf course); plus a 15 x 15 ft. elevated deck on which to relax and watch Taos Mountain sunrises and sunsets. If you are into outdoor cooking we have two charcoal Weber grills for your back yard barbeque.
This truly is a home-away-from-home, which has been thoughtfully and tastefully furnished. The house has gorgeous tile floors, and unique southwestern touches throughout. The well equipped kitchen features Mexican tiled counter tops, modern appliances, and custom cabinets. The oak dining table easily seats eight. The living room has an entertainment center, skylight and a wood burning fireplace. We recently replaced all windows and the patio door with double panes.
The master bedroom has a private 3/4 bath and two additional bedrooms share a full bath. The master and 2nd bedrooms have queen sized beds while the 3rd bedroom has twin beds.
The den/studio serves as a “getaway area” used as an artists studio, home office, or kids play area and also has a twin day bed.
There is a washer/dryer convenient to the bedrooms. We have a one car garage plus plenty of off street parking.
Wireless high speed internet is available throughout the house.
We have a local Property Manager who greets our guests and handles any questions or issues that may arise.
If you have a group larger than the seven people accommodated by our house, we have access to a second home next door. With proper advance notice we may be able to combine the two homes to meet your additional needs.

About: The Owners of this property are Louise and Ed Mackay. We live in Minnesota and have a vacation home in Taos that we offer for short term vacation rentals when we are not visiting there. We have a local Property Manager who is responsible for checking our place to ensure that everything is in excellent condition prior to the arrival of guests. Our Property Manager meets all guests upon arrival, provides keys to the house and introduces them to our comfortable home. She is also available to answer any questions that arise during their visit.
Why Taos: We first came to Taos about twenty years ago and loved the variety of things to do here as well as the history and culture of the area. Twelve years ago, we were very fortunate to be able to buy a second home in the same cul-de-sac as good Taos friends and next door to my brother. We just loved the convenient location.
