    • Robin, The cabin was awesome! We had such a wonderful time... it gave us a bit of everything. Quiet times on the hammock and in front of the fire place, silly times on the tire swing, inspirational moments paddling down the river! We will be back!!

Hi Robin! Yes, we had a wonderful time! Between your great directions and our GPS, we found the cabin easily. It was beautiful, cozy, and what a fabulous view of the river! We all appreciated the effort that you put into decorating and collecting wonderful things from the area. The posters were so unique and everywhere we looked there was something to jog our memories. ( I grew up in rural Gulfport, Fl and enjoyed many of the same simple pleasures. My grandfather created beautiful lampshades with a pair of tin snips and metal coffee cans. My father was a cabinetmaker and made many unique furniture pieces on his lathe.) The river rose to eventually cover the bottom post of the dock and the current was really ripping. So of course, we didn't venture out but enjoyed catching enough catfish to eat a hearty meal one evening. The fireplace was wonderful on the 40* mornings and evenings. I saw a family of beavers playing near the shore but couldn't get a picture before they swam away. We fed the birds and squirrels , read books, and played games, and celebrated Sally's birthday. We read your book and would both love a copy if you could tell us where to find it. Also, do you have CD's available of your classical flute music? I took a lot of digital photos and will e-mail you some when I get a chance. Yes, summer sounds great for another visit! Thanks for your hospitality !

    • Robin: We can never get enough of your Suwannee River Cabin. We've been to visit 5 times now. Some of us fish and canoe, others get out to the nearby springs to snorkle, and others just like stay on the property and enjoy the cabin itself. It's the perfect combination of wilderness and comfort. Love from the Hamrick Family

We had a WONDERFUL time. We hope to come back for just a Friday and Sat. night soon. Herb wanted me to ask what kind of grapes those are - the clusters were beautiful. We don't have that type here. Thank you for sharing your wonderland.

Robin: I cannot begin to express to you how much we enjoyed the cabin and its surroundings. Suffice to say it was so far beyond my expectations that I actually gasped when I walked in. Thank you for creating and providing such a beautiful, peaceful and welcoming place and for sharing it with others. It had every provision we needed for a most memorable vacation. I assure you that we will be back as we've already had our chat about when that might be. I appreciate you writing.

We would like to thank you very much for a wonderful experience at your cabin. We need it to runaway from Miami and this was the perfect place to get lost in nature and peace. Everything was just perfect. We will defenitively go back to your beautiful cabin. My family is looking forward to a family getaway.

We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect! The river was low but we were still able to use the boat and we just pulled up on the beach and tied off to the dock at the end of the day. With the river low there are more sandy beaches for the kids to play on and the springs are more accessible. We hope to make this an annual trip - it's a great way to build family memories. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us again!
