  This cottage was wonderful! The interior was beautifully decorated, and the owner was wonderful to deal with. The backyard was better than anticipated; it was not manicured by any means, but lovely to sit on the back deck or to barbeque. And the location was perfect! It was just a few minutes to a gorgeous beach. The lanai was our favourite spot to read a book or just relax with out coffee in the morning. The beds in the third bedroom were very uncomfortable, but I'm told they're being replaced. This bedroom also has the only access to the backyard, so it must be walked through to get there, which was mildly inconvenient. The traffic on the island is also horrendous. Between 10 and 5 it was a headache to get anywhere. We were there for two months and had very little concerns, all of which the owner handled wonderfully. All in all a great vacation!

  Our family of four stayed here August of 2011. The house is perfect for a family, plenty of room for everyone. It was very clean and the new bathroom and kitchen are great. My teen son loved the WiFi, so he could play his video games. I loved that is is so close to the beaches. You just grab your towel, snorkel and mask and walk just a block in either direction and you are at the most beautiful beaches in the world. My husband loved that the fishing pier was right across the street and loved the gas grill on the back deck. We all loved to eat over at the pier and loved to see the dolphins playing right in front of us. We also saw manatees, starfish, sand dollars, sea snails and stingrays. No need to go to the aquarium, it was right across the street. Look forward to our next trip.

  Once you step through the gate to this cozy cottege, you feel the relaxation taking over, and you forget the busy outside world. The interior of the cottage has been renovated with a beautiful spacious kitchen, and custom touches throughout. Everything is very clean. There is plenty of space to lounge around, and it is big enough that you don't fall over each other if you have a large family. The outside landscaping is very colorful and gives you a sense of privacy.The Rod and Reel Pier is literally steps away, and eating there is something that we always look forward to. Wildlife is everywhere, and a beautiful and shady beach is just a short walk down the road. There are many other great restaurants on the island, and cute shops to visit. I have recommended this place to all my friends and relatives.

  Having stayed there for for a month in 011, this property was not advertised truthfully.No wireless wifi.Filthy carpets with stains all over them. Could not use the backyard because of trash and fleas. The brand new kitchen was beautiful, as was the new bathroom. Rest of the place was not taken care of. We should have known better, being there was no rental lease available.

  This beach house is adorable with completely remodeled kitchen featuring GE profile appliances and beautiful granite counter top. The location across from the Rod and Reel Pier make it very convenient for fishing, eating and enjoying locals at the quaint and friendly bar. Only a couple of blocks from "Bean Point" make walking on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world accessible and enjoyable everyday. I love this place and hope to stay there many more times and make memories with my family and friends.

  Owner response: The beach house remodeled is now completed with no carpets anywhere and all refinished hard wood floors. All new landscaping throughout the house and a new deck with new grill on new back deck. All tenants were told we were in the middle of the remodel and the house was priced accordingly at that time. Now the remodel has been completed and all guests are thrilled with the house. Perfect location on island across from the Rod and Reel make the stay enjoyable and convenient to fishing and dining. Please see all new pictures.

Additional information about rental rates

If the renter cancels 44 to 30 days prior to their check in date, and the landlord is able to rent the cottage, the canceling renter will receive 50% of their money returned. If the cottage is not rented, no money will be refunded. If the renter cancels 29 or less days before arrival, no money will be returned to the renter.

50% of rent must be paid immediately to hold the rent by sending a check to 7 Bridgewater Dr. Winter Haven, Fl. 33884. The50% balance must be paid 75 days prior to the check-in date including the 10% resort fee and $400.00 security deposit. If the renters' plans change and the landlord is notified 45 days prior and the check in date, 100% of the rent, fees, and security will be returned.

All rent fees will be charged a 10% resort fee & cleaning fee.

Feb. 2014 (Feb. 1-28) - $3500.00
