The home functioned perfectly for the celebration of our son's marriage - Very comfortable for eight people to sleep. Directions could improve as there is no marking sign at the turn off Sugarloaf. Warning about roads also helpful as our car was slightly under-prepared! Took us quite awhile to find it. Lovely setting!

Loved your collection of Jazz CDs! Did not mind @ all driving into Boulder or wherever to explore the area. (Peak to Peak especially nice). It was always a pleasure to return here @ the end of the day.

This property is high and remote ... a plus for some, but also difficult to get to And: the windows do not lock, the blinds or drapes do not cover the windows and we did not feel secure. This house has 3 bedrooms and a loft but only 1.5 baths ... NOT 2 as expected. There is much deferred maintenance and the beds are old and worn. We were very disappointed the owner had personal items throughout and it felt more like he had just left for the weekend than a VRBO house ... Including food in the fridge, personal hygiene items in the bathroom, clothes in the closets and more. This was not our usual VRBO experience by any means. This really is not a rental ready property

Owner response: I always feel badly if a person does not appreciate my home and the effort I take to make it nice for them. As described, it is not an empty commercial rental unit. It is my home. Although not needed, locks are provided for all windows and two of the four beds are expensive state of the art beds. I welcome all questions one may have when inquiring about my place. It's of course important to read the entire VRBO information. Just call if you wish to ask specific questions. Thank you.

Larry: We had MORE than a wonderful time. . . The trip was EVERYTHING I hoped it would be. Loved playing the piano. You may hear from me again before too long. I want to share the beauty of the area with my husband...but I want to come when it's warm enough to get outside and enjoy nature (smile). The snow on Tuesday was perfect for my friends from Arkansas and South Carolina who'd rarely ever played in the snow. The video will show you how much fun we had. . . It really was the dream trip I was hoping it would be. The cabin could not have been any better! Thank you so much for "sharing" (smile).

Great Mountain Stay!

My wife and I stayed here on a recent visit to the University in Boulder. Larry could not have been more accommodating or helpful. We enjoyed the escape from the city and the serenity of the hot tub and fireplace very much. I would recommend this beautiful home to any group traveling to the area, from a couple to an entire family.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Hi Larry, We stayed at your place over Thanksgiving weekend and so enjoyed it! It was very spacious for our growing family. One evening we sang a variety of songs, including Christmas carols around the piano. I played the piano, my son-in-law played his guitar and others took turns on the drums. Mountain Cabin great for family

Our family of 4 children and 7 adults rented the cabin over Momorial Day Weekend. The view is amazing, and you feel like you are very secluded, yet I'm sure there are people around somewhere. The hot tub is very big, I think it holds 8 people, or 4 very busy small kids who used it as a swimming pool. If we would have stayed at a hotel, they could not have gone swimming because it was too cold that weekend. But the hot tub was wonderful for the whole family. None of us are musically inclined, so we didn't take advantage of the beautiful baby grand piano, or other instruments. But the fireplace was wonderful!!!! It takes up almost an entire wall of the livingroom! The loft upstairs is great. There are two double beds up there and is actually room for 2 more. A great place to keep kids entertained. The back bedrooms are a bit dated and don't reflect the front of the cabin's ambiance, but you are only there to sleep anyway. Note: the description says 2 bathrooms, and there are, but there is only 1 tub/shower. We had 11 people staying there and were able to make it work since we had 4 children with us.But might have to be creative with shower scheduling if more adults are renting. However, don't let that fact distract you from the wonderful experience you can have while staying up in the mountains, with only a 25 min. drive into Boulder. We want to rent it again and bring others of our family to enjoy it. We are a bit jealous that Larry gets to enjoy this year round. He is a great host, and leaves a fruit basket for you complete with a bottle of wine! Thanks Larry - Hope to contact you again in the future to stay at your wonderful mountain cabin. Wyoming Family

Larry, We absolutely loved the cabin & when we woke up to about 6 inches of snow we were thrilled! We really enjoyed the Hot tub. This was a perfect place to spend our honeymoon! We hate to leave all this beauty & go home, can't we stay another week Thank you
