Friends and I surprised my hubs with a birthday getaway to this gorgeous lake house. Everyone had a great time because you could never get bored. Devil's Head ski resort was nearby, the basement was THE PERFECT game room with foosball, pool, poker, table tennis, etc., and the outdoor hot tub was the cherry on top. The nearby town also had restaurants and bars but we rather enjoyed cooking and having meals in the house since every dining and kitchen equipment was available to our disposal. My husband has asked that we go back in the summer. We truly had a great time and would like to thank the homeowners for opening their home to us for rent for the weekend. My only take-away would be that the noise from the basement travels too easily to the first floor however the homeowner has indicated that they would look into fixing it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is a perfect house to rent for a family /friends vacation. Very spacious and lots to do for all ages. The property clean and very well taken care. They even had Chistmas decorations ! The owners have thought of every detail to maintain all ages entretained and we had enough space to give privacy to everyone. The owners were very attentive to our needs and called us to make sure we were able to make it safe traveling before/during the winter storm. The kitchen has everything you need, it's close to town and restaurants. Very close to ski resort which made the trip a hit for all our children ages that range from 22-7 y/o, they had a wonderful time! My fiance and I had the opportunity to rent this wonderful vacation home for a few days as a "get-away". It's everything you want ...and so much more. I stayed there with some friends this fall, and it was the PERFECT get-away! Everything is quality from the wonderful gourmet kitchen, Ethan allen furniture, comfy beds, and all was spotless! We have a group of friends that rents different cabins each year and this year we found this great place on-line! We had an absolutely wonderful weekend at this lakehouse! The house is beautiful, inside and out, with plenty of space for everyone to hang out. The location on the lake is just gorgeous. It is also so close to Devil's Lake, which is a fun afternoon outing. Waking up to an amazing view from the family room is pretty wonderful. Our whole group loved the home! We will definitely consider coming back next year and we will absolutely recommend your place to any of our family/friends looking for a relaxing get-away. A group of friends decided to rent this home for a weekend. The home is absolutely beautiful. The homeowners were quick to respond and very easy to work with. The next time I make a trip to the Devils Head area I will be keeping my fingers crossed that the dates are still available. Without a doubt this home is worth staying at! When I walked into what looked like a quaint little house, I was shocked at how beautiful it truly was. The large spacious rooms were tastefully decorated, giving you the feeling of home. There was pleanty of room for everyone in our large group, as well as pleanty to do. The basement was full of activities for all game lovers, and the Wii in the living room was great for getting in some exercise on a vacatoin. Although we were there for fun on the slopes of Devil's Head, this house accomodated all of our groups needs. Being right off the lake and seeing that the house came with many summer water activities makes me consider returning for a weekend of summer fun. I highly recommend this house for a great time!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We had an awesome time at the house due to the heartfelt company of friends and the house itself. This is truly a beautiful house, well maintained, spotless clean, and cozy. The bedrooms comfortably accommodated all 4 families of friends that we rented the house with. The kitchen-dining-living room area was as specious and wonderful as we needed it for a nice Christmas celebration. The kitchen had all the cooking utensils, serving dishes, and stylish silverware one could want for festive meals. The location of this lake house is magnificent by itself nestled by the frozen(at that time of year) lake – that contributed to some adventurous walks to the cost across. We also took advantage of the nearby Devil's Lake State Park with its sledding hill and also of the Devil's Head Ski Resort. The owners of the house made the process of renting and being at the house easy and welcoming. Thank you so very much!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
