Great fall week in Cleveland
Great fall week in Cleveland

Three couples in our 60's enjoyed a week's stay in your well-equipped cabin. The location is convenient to everything in the North Georgia mountains, and we took day trips to Hiawassee, Clayton, Ellijay and Blue Ridge. The cabin was perfect for three couples, with TV's in every bedroom and easy computer access. We had no cell service, so the free long distance access was very much appreciated. There is a wonderful Ingles store on the north side of Cleveland that is only a few miles from the house. For eating spots, we would recommend Creekside Deli, Glenda's and Rib Country BBQ.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We just returned from a 4 night trip to cleveland with my family of 11 and it was the most fun that we have had in along time. Mostly because of the house we where able to be together yet have our own space to enjoy the outdoors. It was close enough too so many different things to do. This is one of the best rentals we have had the pleasure to stay in and was very pleased with the feed back from the owners and their help in sharing their knowing of the area and the different attractions in the area. We where so pleased that we are now looking forward to spending another week in august.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed in this house for Oktoberfest 10/8 - 10/11. It is extremely comfortable and relaxing. We actually spent more time in the house than we planned because of that! The furnishings are very nice and the kitchen is well stocked with a great selection of dishes/pans/cutlery, etc. The beds upstairs are made for a good nights sleep for sure. We used every part of the house-played pool and foosball downstairs and got in the hot tub every night. The trout stream is a short walk on a clear path and nice to just sit next to and listening to the water. We had to dodge the falling acorns from the giant tree that stands over the back deck but it made for some laughs. We hope to return to this house soon and often!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

When you walk in, you feel right at home. It is nicely decorated and maintained well. Our group ranged from 10 months to 40+ and there was something to do for everyone. There are plenty of activities in the area for all ages. I would not recommend taking the younger children tubing, even though they say it is safe for toddlers. A little over an hour away is Stone Mountain and even the babies enjoyed watching the laser light show. We only stayed for four days this time, but we took a vote and decided we will go back again next year for a longer period. If you are looking for a place that is clean, spacious and relaxing, this is it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Our multi-generational family had a wonderful time at the cabin. There was enough space for all nine of us and activities to keep each of us busy. The cabin is beautiful and the scenery was too. The buck even made an appearance! Thanks for a great vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had the greatest time ever!. The listing description accurate regarding the location. The listing photos accurately reflect the rental’s appearance and amenities. It was very clean and well-maintained. The owners were helpful in answering our questions and concerns. I would recommend this property to family and freinds. We recomend to go hicking, to go to the corn maze ( October), tubing, to eat at German Restaurant in dowtown Helen and you must visit the winery there.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

About the owner: We have always enjoyed the beauty of nature but, unfortunately, don't live in an area with the beauty of the north Georgia mountains. However, with our home in the north Georgia Mountains, we can experience the beauty of nature. We believe in family and American values and the north Georgia mountains suits us well, even if only for an occasional visit.
Why the Owner Chose Cleveland:
We chose our house because we loved the secluded, wooded area and trout stream, yet it is close to Helen, Dahlonega and Cleveland. We also love the place because it is suitable for a family gathering and we have many family gatherings there.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
When we stay at Mountain Shoals Hideaway, our kids gravitate to the lower level where the game room and games are while us adults can relax on the upper deck. The kids always find something to do and we never have to entertain them unless we take them to the area waterfalls and hiking trails.
