Exactly how described and pictured. A wonderful home in St. Helena. We had a total of 4 in our party (2 couples) and this home was more than spacious. It fulfilled all our needs. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and tidy. We only stayed 3 short night and cooked one meal but we all wished we had more time to enjoy the backyard and hot tub. The house is located in a great little neighborhood which was a short walk to the main street which had many cute shops and restuarants. Also many wineries are a quick drive away. Would definitely recommend to friends and family for a great and relaxing getaway!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Every year for the past 15 years, four ladies who went to college together get a house in the wine country for a reunion during harvest in the wine country. We have rented many houses, but this house was the best so far in terms of comfort of all beds (including the pull out), cleanliness, central location for wine tasting and providing all the essentials you need to have a great four day weekend. We did our grocery shopping and things like paper towels, coffee filters, toilet paper, saran wrap were in the house and we did not have to provide them which made our stay much easier, cost effective and comfortable. We were able to walk to St. Helena main street for dinner every night so there was no need for a DD and the house has a nice living space to hang out in and talk or watch TV/DVD. We had a great time and highly recommend this sweet house for a memorable wine country get away.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This property comes absolutely as advertised. Descriptions and images are matched, if not exceeded by what you will find at this property. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, very responsive to both questions, and later, suggestions. The residence is located in a very quiet neighborhood, and all aspects of the stay exceeded our expectations - we were a party of 4 50-somethings and 2 20-somethings. When we arrived, it was spotless, with bedrooms and baths well provisioned. The 3 cooks among us enjoyed the spacious and nicely equipped kitchen, (check the fridge and cupboards for non-perishables that previous guests have left before you go shopping), and we all relaxed over many al fresco meals in the peaceful back yard. This was our base for day-excursions by car around the valley, but if you want to stay local, it is a 10 minute walk to the main drag. If our party returns to Napa, this is where we will stay again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

It has been years since visiting Napa...my daughter now 21 wanted to meet us for a weeks vacation. I used VBRO for the first time. My search was based on the reviews I read and the size of the home. We were delighted. The beds were comfortable. The house was immaculately clean. The street was quiet. We could walk to anywhere in town within 10 minutes. The restaurants selection was wide and all great. The people in town were friendly. The hot tub relaxed us before going to bed. The kitchen was stocked with the necessarily items. Everything exceeded my expectations. Rent it - you will be pleased.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My friends and I had the pleasure of staying here during a girls Napa trip to California. We wanted somewhere that was conveniently located and had a nice kitchen where we could cook dinner and this was absolutely perfect!! The kitchen is very spacious and the bedrooms all are comfortable. When we arrived the house was very clean as well. We were fortunate enough to have great weather so we spent evenings in the backyard and took full advantage of the hot tub. The house is within a 10 minute walking trip from downtown St. Helena. We walked to dinner, we walked to shop, and walked to the grocery store. St. Helena is a beautiful town to stay in if you're visiting wine country! The owner could not have been more helpful! She made herself very available as we prepared for the trip and when we arrived. She definitely went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this property!! I'm ready to go back!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

House was as it appears in the photos. Nice, family oriented neighborhood. The house was very clean and plenty of linens, towels, kitchen supplies, etc. We visited a wonderful farmer's market on Fri. morning at Crane Park. Six of us stayed in the house and had plenty of room. The backyard is a highlight, especially given the warm weather. We used some of the fresh herbs being grown in the backyard for our meals-delicious. St.Helena is charming-a step back in time and within walking distance of the house (less than 1/2 mile). Called the owner the first day we were there to get access code for wi-fi and she responded promptly. It was nice having an array of spices and condiments to choose from for cooking.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I came with 5 friends to celebrate my birthday in Napa in August. We stayed at this place and it was perfect. It's in a nice neighborhood in St. Helena, which is minutes away from the adorable town there, as well as dozens of wineries. The beds were comfortable and clean, and there was plenty of space inside and out. Be sure to get the hot tub going right away, as it takes awhile to get clean. One it does though, it's perfectly warm. This was definitely a way to celebrate in affordable manner with several friends :) Thank you so much.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We recently stayed in this St. Helena home with two other couples and had a great time. We spent quite a bit of time in the backyard, grilling and eating each night. We couldn't have asked for a better location--within walking distance to downtown St. Helena with easy driving access to all of our favorite wineries. The two bedrooms were spacious and the beds were adorned with plenty of pillows and comfortable linens. The couple who slept on the pull out bed were pleasantly surprised at its comfort. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook our nightly meals. The only complaint was the shower in the shared front bathroom. Our friends wound up using our bathroom in the master bedroom because they had a handheld shower head. While we didn't spend a lot of time at the house, we all thought it was a perfect place for what we were looking for--somewhere to hang and sleep after winetasting and lounging poolside in St. Helena.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway.

The photos on the site depict this location in it's "best light" and upon arrival it was disappointing. There are no pictures of the front of the house. This is because it is entirely overgrown and unattended to. The 2nd bedroom bed is not a standard size double bed and we had to use the roll away for the 2nd person. The hide-away sofa was quite comfortable. In the refrigerator we found to have personal items and not cleaned out. There were some other rather odd discoveries as well as to what was furnished. The back yard in these photos depict a much nicer impression than what we found. It needs a bit of attention to detail and upgrading to be something I would recommend to others. The owner was very nice and easy to deal with. She was the best part of our experience. Overall, it fit our needs but for the money I think you could do better.Owner response: There is a large Japanese maple tree in front of the house that provides shade in the hot summer months. The tree is trimmed twice a year, but grows very rapidly. I try not to trim it too much in summer so that the house stays cool and comfortable. However, I did ask my gardener to trim it a little more. Some of the travelers don't pay attention to the information provided regarding the house. It is clearly stated that the house has one king size bed, one queen size bed, and one full size. They were a party of five, and the two grown sons did not want to share a queen bed. They had the option of using a pull-out queen size sofa in the living room at no extra charge, and they used it. I normally leave some condiments, like ketchup, mustard, coffee, etc. in the fridge on purpose trying to save money for my guests. Most of them really appreciate this gesture, but some expect to see a bed and breakfast, or an impersonal hotel room. Although I am very sorry the house did not meet the expectation of these guests, I will continue to stock my house with some items that my guests might use, and leave it up to them to decide if they want to use them or not.

Mary was able to accommodate our group last minute and we had a great stay. She was easy to reach and very helpful in answering all my questions and concerns. The photos of the house are also accurate, the only thing I would warn other potential renters is that the property only has two official/real bedrooms instead of three. The third room is the 'den', which is off the living room and becomes the 'third bedroom', where the couch pictured is the third queen bed. Even though it is technically a pull-out couch, there is a comfy pad on top to give it a nice cushion!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Why the Owner Chose St. Helena:
I bought this rental because St. Helena is the classiest town in Napa Valley, and has everything one would ever desire from a vacation spot. It has the best restaurants, wine, and access to shopping, yet with the additional touch of being surrounded by nature. I had been coming to Napa Valley for years, and immediately fell in love with this town.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
My favorite pastime is to sit under the big Magnolia tree in the backyard, sipping wine, or watching the stars from the hot tub. There are also lovely walks that take you up into the mountains, as well as being only a few minutes away from all of the amenities of downtown. You can't beat this lifestyle.
