The Peninsula on the Indian River Bay Resort is an award winning, family friendly, 5-star resort featuring a private Jack Nicklaus signature golf course. Our gated community with indoor and outdoor pools with hot tubs, a 13,000 sq. ft. wave pool, tennis courts, fitness center and spa, bar and grill, fishing pier, and miles of bike and walking paths is a great place to vacation with the whole family!
Our gorgeous 4 Bedroom 3.5 Bath 3,300 sq. ft. two-story Newport Villa is located on a pipe-stem with lovely landscaping in the Conservancy neighborhood. This is a spacious and well appointed home with an open, vaulted floor plan. The Great Room overlooking a private wooded setting has high ceilings, ceiling fan, ceramic tile flooring w/ area rugs, huge sectionals and a loveseat in front of the entertainment unit with 42' HDTV, Verizon FiOS, DVD and fireplace. There is an adjoining breakfast area with glass-topped Polynesian-wicker table and 4 chairs. Gourmet kitchen with fully stocked cabinets, Corian counters and black appliances. Formal dining room with large Polynesian-wicker table and 6 chairs which opens to a side porch furnished with a wicker couch, loveseat, chair, coffee table and side table. Office/den near the foyer with desk and internet. First floor queen master with wall-to-wall carpeting, classic island furniture, huge walk in closets and double doors to the side porch. Private master bath with soaking tub and separate shower. Second floor has a loft which overlooks the kitchen and great room and has huge sectionals, a 56” HDTV, Verizon FiOS & DVD. The loft opens to a private balcony, furnished with wicker couch, loveseat, chair, coffee table and side table. The guest suite has a sleigh style queen bed with private full bath, separate reading/relaxing area and opens to the balcony. The third and fourth bedrooms each have a pine classic style twin bed and a similarly styled full size bed. A 'Jack and Jill' bath connects these two bedrooms. Wall to wall carpeting throughout the second floor. There is a laundry on the first floor and a 2 car garage which has 4 bicycles for your use. There is also wireless high-speed internet access, a gas grill and a wine refrigerator. Life here offers access to a private Jack Nicklaus golf course, basketball & volleyball courts, tennis courts, indoor & outdoor pools, hot tubs, a wave pool, private beach on the bay, fitness center, Calmwater spa, fishing pier, walking & biking trails, a children's game/activity room, and a restaurant. This luxurious gated community on the Indian River Bay is only minutes from Delaware's Beaches as well as tax free shopping at the nearby Rehoboth outlets.

This is a very spacious and clean villa. The patio areas and deck are terrific. It is evident that the owners take pride in this property. This villa is an easy commute to Sports at the Beach and Rehoboth Beach.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I took our extended family for a last-minute vacation to Bethany Beach (when our original plans for New England fell through because of Hurricane Irene). We were extremely surprised to find this place still available for most of our allotted days and nights. Bob, the owner, was very accommodating at our 11th-hour request, arranged the booking immediately, and we were overjoyed at being in this lovely home. Our 5-year old nephew was ecstatic at the spaciousness and comforts (especially the two flat screen tvs!) and, really, the photos do not do justice to the openness and airy ambience of this home. Delaware's beaches are a secret to most people but they are lovely and clean. The resort also has a small but pristine private beach that's great for small kids and the resort facilities are also excellent (as well as reasonably priced).Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

A wonderful week with the grandchildren. A great place for the kids to unwind after the school year. The kids got up in the morning and rode to the grill for breakfast and then spent their day, They enjoyed fishing and biking and loved the wave pool and basketball court. The house is beautifully decorated and the bikes were certainly a bnus.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

This house is an excellent destination spot! We have friends who own a condo at The Peninsula so we were familiar with the resort. The added bonus of staying in your villa gave us more room to spread out as we annually vacation with another family (we each have 2 girls so total of 8 people). The house is beautifully furnished, the amenities were easy to get to by a short bike ride and we all loved the pool areas. When the kids needed a break, they went inside to the kids game room for air hockey, tv watching, and general chilling out time while we adults could rest easy poolside knowing where they were. Your villa is so peaceful --- we sat outside on the patio/decks every morning and every night enjoying the scenery. We went into Rehoboth twice --- once for dinner and walking around and once for the rides. Owners were extremely prompt with questions and accessible by email. Loved it -- thanks for sharing your house with us!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a great home in a quiet, family-oriented and gated community! It was very clean, cared for and cool inside as our family of 6 arrived on a 95 degree day. We had plenty of room in the 4 BR's and 2 places to watch TV. It was easy to prepare meals in the kitchen and having Wi-Fi was a big bonus. The Peninsula is a great community with plenty to do. The kids loved the wave pool and there are great roads to ride bikes, not to mention golf and tennis. Rehoboth Beach is a quick 10 minute drive. We stayed a week and encountered very little traffic around the home. The owners were very helpful prior and during our stay, answering any and all questions we had. We were not disappointed in anything and would absolutely rent again if we ever are out that way.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

A beautiful house, in a nice community. Ammenities include a golfcourse(make sure owner contacts proshop that you will be playing as a guest) and a spa.Owner was extremely helpful and responded to all queries promptly. Overall a great house for a great vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was an excellent rental property! Beautiful house, great amenitities! The pool area was excellent -- wave pool surrounded by sand, indoor pool and game room for kids. Lots of great bike trails and a dock to crab from. The house was great, everything just as promised. Lots of space, beautiful, breezy decks. Not far to groceries, shopping and about 20 mintues to Rehobeth. We hope to go back again next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My wife and I are both information technology professionals, living in the Washington, DC area with our two teenage children. In our early 50's, we stay active and on the go, encouraging family and friends to join us often as we entertain and welcome all to our homes both in the DC area and here at the Peninsula.
Why the Owner Chose Millsboro:
We were looking for a family friendly location that would provide a 'destination' for our children and their friends, as well as a prospective retirement home for us after our kids have 'left the nest' and started their own families. We fell in love with the amenities and the great people we've met as our neighbors. We enjoy the golf course, spa and other recreational/fitness facilities, including the great pool(s). Our hope is to share this wonderful experience with others (and cover a few expenses in the process).
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
We love the quiet location with woods on two sides while still being close to everything. The great walking and biking opportunities provide us with plenty of exercise. The golf, tennis and pools also provide relaxing entertainment. We enjoy the many health club 'class' offerings as well as the frequent 'themed' dining events offered by the club.
