The Ridge Chalet offers upscale living at its finest with vaulted ceilings finished in cedar, large window walls of glass, and a comfortable 4 season porch for your morning coffee. This home is built with post and beam construction by Lindal Cedar Homes and is finished with cherry hardwood floors, Corian countertops, large wood burning fireplace and much more. In addition, the owner has decorated the entire home with andirondack furniture that is very comfortable and cozy.
This home is located on top of a ridge of the Sawtooth Mountains and has spectacular views of Lake Superior and the area Sawtooth Mountains. You will be able to see amazing sunrise and moonrise over Lake Superior that are stunning.
Due to the steepness of the driveway 4 wheel drive IS REQUIRED during the winter months.

Overall, very nice vacation spot! Clean and well taken care of. Plenty of space and great views. Only drawback would be the futon in the basement, which was not very comfortable (but then again, what futon is??). We felt that having a pull-out couch in the loft area would have been a better use of space and would have provided additional sleeping/more comfortable sleeping then the futon in the lower level. We would definitely consider staying here again for future visits!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family of 9 (6 adults, 1 infant and 2 large dogs) recently enjoyed a long weekend at the Ridge Chalet...we had a blast! The chalet was exactly as described, clean and welcoming, we all honestly felt like home. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each others company comfortably. We took walks and enjoyed the wild flowers each day. We also we pleased with location, not too far from the Alpine Slide, Superior National Golf Course, and Grand Marais. When it came time to pack up, we were all agreed that we could use just a few more days! This was a special trip where many memories were created for my family, thank you!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
