My family and I stayed at this cabin for a month. We got there on a sunday and by monday night we had fallen in love with the place. Our favorite spot at the cabin was the screened in porch that wraps around the side and back of the cabin. There was enough room in the cabin that we could have privace to read while others played and/or watched TV. The kitchen and bathroom were newly updated and easy to clean and use. We enjoyed cool days and quite night at Bear Paw. The clubhouse pool and ammenities were top rate, and the owner of the cabin was a wonderful person to talk to and helped us with waterfall destinations we would not have otherwise found. The best part is the views of the lake from the dam and lookout points and the views while on the lake, it was absolutely breath taking. My whole family enjoyed the fishing, hiking, and all the beautiful waterfalls that are in the area. The city of murphy was fun as well for those wanting to experience a country themed city wide activities. They have scavenger hunts in the shops of the city on the first friday of the month, and wonderful little roadside produce markets with the best vegetables to be found anywhere. All in all our trip was phenominal and my family and i will be going back to Bear Paw in the near future as renters and then hopefully as owners. So if you are looking for a peaceful getaway I would strongly recommend a trip to Bear Paw.

Owner response: Mark I am so happy to have you and the family stay with us this summer . Thanks for being great guests. Looking forward to having you again in the future
If you are looking to get away from city I highly recommend. The porches are perfect for reading and enjoying a glass of wine. It has an updated kitchen and all of the equipment needed to stay in and cook a special meal. We went for a walk and just up the hill was a beautiful overlook. If you like to fish they have a marina too. Great value.
