Lovely authentic custom two-story adobe home with sunset views located conveniently in the historic district- 5 minute walk to the plaza. Designed with hand-plastered walls, viga ceilings, four fireplaces, gallery and multiple portals.
A quiet retreat with ski lodge atmosphere with over 2,300 square feet and sunset vistas from the upper portal which are breathtaking. You can relax in the master bedroom by a cozy fireplace, sway gently in a hammock on the portal watching the Western sky and Jemez mountains or pause in the gallery or upstairs living room to read, write, or simply dream. The gallery and bedrooms are filled with books and art and the house secluded by outer adobe walls and coyote fences. In addition there is high speed internet available.
On the second floor there is a living room, dining room, half bath and kitchen with two indoor and one outdoor fireplaces, as well as two portals with Western views. On the ground floor there is a master bedroom suite with queen size bed, private full bath and reading/study area, as well as a guest bedroom with queen-sized bed and full bath. Both include private portals. In addition there are two queen sleeper sofas, located in the upstairs living room and downstairs gallery area that increase accomodation for an additional four guests while you vacation during the holidays, take in the Balloon Festival or Indian Market or simply enjoy hiking, skiing or the many museums, art galleries and wonderful restaurants in Santa Fe.
Downtown Santa Fe is only a few minutes walk with the Plaza 3 blocks away. The additional space, fireplaces, fully equipped kitchen, privacy, views and lovely furnishings in this desirable neighborhood make this home a wonderful and peaceful alternative to hotel living.
