Pretty Lake near Dousman, in Southern Wisconsin is one of those wonderful places that is chock-full of stuff for visitors to do while on vacation. It’s only 2 hours from Chicago, or an hour to Madison., and just 45 minutes from Milwaukee. It’s also about a mile away from Kettle Moraine State Forest and miles of hiking & snowmobiling trails. Considered a natural national landmark, the site is full of colored stalagmites and stalactites for you to wonder at. This particular cave system is thought to be nearly 400 million years old. Or visit a cheese factory in Theresa. Antiquing in Oconomowoc, home of the famous Kiltie drive-in and the best frozen custard in the universe. The Kiltie maintains its car-hops and the same look as it did in the 1960’s.
Southern Wisconsin is home to unique attractions, such as the Harley Davidson Museum which features displays and exhibits about the history of the motorcycle maker. Another wonderful stop in Southern Wisconsin is the Milwaukee County Zoo which houses many exotic species for your viewing pleasure. One last great place to visit on your vacation is Circus World which is a museum focused on the history of the Circus; this unique attraction is located in Baraboo.

Our Pretty Lake home is our second home. We love to get there whenever possible and take our kids and grandkids there. We love to swim, hike or take a canoe ride each evening . We love to bird watch from the enclosed porch while sipping our coffee. It is a beautiful place and is very peaceful. Close to amenities, yet far enough away.
Why the Owner Chose Dousman
Bobbin grew up on a nearby lake and is still a lake girl at heart. The Pretty Lake area has a north woods feel to it, and we love hiking at Kettle Moraine State Forest. Pete loves the golf course, only two miles away.

If you are loking for a relaxing vacation this is the place to be. You'll be joined by fireflies while enjoying your dinner on the patio. The home is set up to make you feel just like that-home. And the lake is just so pretty. Owner very helpful in all aspects from beginning to end. My family spent the week of the 4th of July and the old fashion celebration by the community was something we will never forget. The grandchildren(ages 6 and 10) never found nothing to do and didn't ask for t.v.,movies or vidio games the whole time we were there. My friend who has MS and uses a walker found the home and property very easy to get around and did go swimming twice. The location makes it easy to take day trips to area attractions but I just couldn't leave when I had everything right here. I'm planning on going back and making some more beautiful memories. Thank you so much for sharing your Pretty Lake home.
