  We enjoyed a wonderful weekend with friends in this beatiful home. Perfect place to spend time together in a winter wonderland! Spacious and immaculate. Easy walk to town but honestly the best part was hanging in the great room with friends, sitting by the fire and playing some of the numerous games that were available. If you have kids or teens the game room is a great bonus. Highly recommended.

  Truly amazing vacation rental! All the comforts of home and so much more! We loved every second! From relaxing in front of the fire to spirited games of pool & ping pong, this rental had eveything we needed to relax and be rejuvinated! We awoke in the morning to the sunlight streaming through the snow covered birch trees and ended every evening with snow flakes falling as we enjoyed the hot tub! The home was clean and had everything we needed and more! Though we didn't want to leave, we made the short walk into the village of Lake Placid to enjoy a delicious lunch and stroll through the shops. Everything we needed for a perfect get-away! Thank you!!

  Having not seen my college friends and their spouses as a group in years, I decided it was time to get us all together. Lake Placid seemed like the perfect spot to do so. We viewed this property and based on the photos, decided to rent it for a nice weekend in January. At the time, no one could have predicted the weather to be 31 below zero leading up to the weekend. No matter. We arrived on a Friday and despite the temperature outside, the warmth and good times began on the inside. With 3 fireplaces, a wide-open and well decored interior with obvious thought, love and classy, charming Adirondack theme placed into every room, this house was the perfect venue to suit our needs. In addition to playing pool and pingpong in the game room...longtime favorites of our crowd, the music could be heard throughout the house and yes, even with those temperatures, plenty of time was spent in the outdoor hot tub, which quickly became a favorite of all for the weekend. Shopping and lunch at a pub in town were great, but nothing compared to locking ourselves in for the remainder of the weekend, taking advantage of the spacious and well apportioned kitchen with the fireplace sitting area, which simply made the weekend. Acoustic guitars and another fire in front of the windows of the great room found yet another space where our entire group could congregate comfortably. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The beds....amazingly comfortable. A great nights rest! By Sunday, we were all regretting we didn't have one more day and not one of us wanted to leave. We began talking about doing this all again...only this time, bringing the kids so they could experience this amazing property. Were already trying to coordinate dates for our return. I'm not sure we can re-create the magic we shared on our weekend at this property. But it's certainly going to be fun to try! Thank you, Thien's for a remarkable and memorable experience! • Fantastic Home!

  This is a warm beautiful home. We stayed here for a week during August 2009 and couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. There's plenty of room for everyone and the house is FULLY stocked with very nice furnishings. In addition, the home is an easy walk to Lake Placid or to the village. The owners are also very accommodating and wonderful to deal with. We'll definitely be back.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
