If you want to leave home with nothing but your suitcase full of clothes. If you want a roomy, clean home, with ocean views, that is just a hop, skip and a jump from the beach then this is the house for you. Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. - Same day response to all emails. - Pleasant and easy to work with. - Beautiful clean home. - Ocean views from almost every room. - 1 minute walk to the beach. - Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, towels ..... - We brought cold breakfast foods and ate lunch and dinner out (Mom was on vacation too after all!), but if I had wanted to cook, I would have found everything I needed. Large pantry for storage if you do bring food. - Outdoor shower was fab! I appreciated the kids being able to rinse off outside, and not bring sand into the house. - Quiet residential area, yet close to shopping and restaurants. - Great spots for campfires on the beach. - Reasonable requirements for closing up the house before leaving. - Quick return of security deposit. The house was perfect for a family on vacation, and Lincoln City is such a beautiful relaxing place to visit. My teenage sons 13 & 16 were complaining before the trip. They were just sure that they would be bored to death. After our first day on the beach, exploring the tide pools, and digging in the sand, they were thanking us for the trip, and telling us what a good time they were having - priceless! I would highly recommend this house for your stay in L.C. We can't wait to go back. Next time we will stay longer! L.A.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

I booked this home for my husband's birthday and invited my in-laws and their kids to come along. The house is absolutely beautiful, easy to find and is right by the beach. The house had everything we needed and was available for us to use, ie the pantry, soaps, towels. We had a great time cooking and just hanging out by the fireplace and the view was amazing! When we left, my husband realized that he forgot his iPhone charger so I contacted the owner and she quickly had the house keeper mail it out to us the following business day. It just arrived in the mail today along with my security deposit. The owner Sandi was so easy to work with! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much for for a wonderful weekend at your beautiful home!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family of five stayed here over the New Year break and we loved it! Amazing views and windows that allow for hearing the ocean in any room. Outstanding kitchen, kids loved the bunk room, and we loved the spacious master (the soaking tub is awesome). Honestly, we are not huge fans of staying right in Lincoln City, but Road's End is tucked away to where you'd never know you were close to shops, grocery stores, and restaurants. Feels like it's isolated, in a good way. Great house, great location. Highly recommend.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I booked this house along with another nearby to house a large family reunion/vacation. There were 10 people in this house; my three married daughters, their husbands & 4 children. They found the accomodations very nice as to view, cleanliness, comfort & roominess. The only thing that could have been better was the comfort of the hide-a-bed couch. The ocean view was fantastic & enhanced by all the large windows on the west side. The kitchen area was nice and roomy & the table more than large enough for 10. Everything they needed in the way of utensils and kitchenware was there. The bathrooms were nice as well. The house is situated very well in relation to shopping, restaurants, casino, etc. No complaints! One nice serendipity of their stay was that they got to see a doe and fawn just outside the windows one morning & the grandchildren even got to watch as the doe nursed her baby! Communication with the owner was easy & pleasant through mail & email. Very quick refund on the security deposit as well. We would recommend this house!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

What a great house! There were ten of us and we had plenty of room to spread out. The air hockey was a huge hit with the kids, and having a television in both the great and family rooms was a plus as well. Cooking was a breeze in the huge well-equiped kitchen. The beach is a stone's throw away and we enjoyed spectacular sunsets, beach combing, kite flying and looking at tidepools. Sandi, the owner is very pleasant and efficient to work with. Hands down we will stay at this lovely home again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was the perfect home for our extended family of 7. Great location--the view from the balcony/porch is beautiful. It was nice to be able to open the windows at night and hear the surf. The children loved sleeping in the bunk beds, and there is a nice assortment of games and puzzles for all ages. The appliances are very nice (with a super quiet dishwasher). There is a grocery store a mile or two away, but there is a pantry at the house that you should look through before you go shopping.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I have to say I had my most favorite nap in this home. The master was so cozy with light feather comforter, crisp white sheets, fabulous views of the ocean with the top windows opening for the ocean breeze and smells to come in, the sun was shinning. I will savor that nap! We just truly enjoyed ourselves. My kids just explored the beach for treasures each day for hours. The tv in the "kids" area was nice so we did not have to listen to cartoons. The kitchen-family-dining room is all ocean views. This beautiful kitchen desires to be better stocked (truly a pair of cooking shears would cover for a lot of other tools not there). But I would not hold that against it for all the other fabulous qualities. We made it to the tide pools just a short walk to the north of the house once the low tide came and you would not believe your eyes. Wish I could include the photos. Just amazing amount of sea life. I was thrilled. (Do not go in flip flops-need more sturdy shoes.) It was also nice you did not even need to go out on a main street to get to the Safeway. McMinimins was also right there with lost of fresh beers. Having a growler for guests to use would be nice. We bought some fresh rootbeer there and the growler was $26 because it was fancy--then we had to haul it the rest of the trip. Sandi was so nice to work with too. This home is a bargain.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. It was absolutely perfect get away for 10 woman friends who were looking forward to enjoying each others company, good food and local activies. The beach access is close, tide pools within easy walking distance the casino and outlet mall just a short drive. Something for everyone in our group. We will do this again. I would NOT recommend this to families with very young children or disabilities only because of the stairs and the main living area being upstairs.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We stayed here for Spring Break with a couple families and it was a great spot. It is just across the street and up the hill a bit from the beach front homes, with a great view off the upper level which is the master bedroom, living room, kitchen and dining room. There is also a nice large deck to sit out on to enjoy the view. The beach access is basically right across the street so it was super easy to take walks on the beach. The bedding in the rooms were nice Pottery Barn linens with comfortable beds. There was a flat screen tv in the main living room for movie watching and a small one downstairs in the "play room". No tv's in the bedrooms though. The master bath was very nice and large. We brought a blowup bed which was nice as the fold out sofa was not comfortable. It fit just fine in the extra play room. Otherwise the house will hold 10 people exactly if two of the people each take a sofa. The laundry room was nice as we were able to keep all our laundry done each day. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. Plenty of dishes and glasses. There is no wifi so if you plan to do any work on your computer you will need to bring your own internet service device. Everything is relatively new and nice and clean. It is fairly sparse, but very cute. The dining room table is huge - we had a puzzle going the whole week at one end and were able to fit everyone at the other end for meals. There were plenty of books to read and games to play. Roads End is somewhat busy area (especially spring break), but nice and close to the store when we needed supplies. The house is near the end of Roads End so it seemed quieter than most. Overall it was a great house to rent and I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Lincoln City. Thanks for a great week Sandi!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We didn’t actually even get to the beach, since it rained the entire time we were there, but that was actually ok, because there are so many big windows facing the ocean, that we could just watch the ocean from inside the house, with a cup of coffee. My wife and her sister just loved the house—they spent the first 15 minutes just walking around the house with big grins on their faces. The kids in our group really enjoyed playing hide and seek, doing puzzles, etc, and the bunk-beds were also great for the children. As others have noted (and as was clear in the listing, too), there is no internet access—but that might be a plus for some. We’re more of an internet family than a TV family, though, so that made us a little sad. That might be an amenity to consider adding. Also maybe a pizza cutter :-) Other than that, though, this is a beautiful, comfortable home with an excellent view of the ocean, and was a lovely place to stay. We had a very nice time!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
