We invite you to enjoy our vacation home in western Montana’s Madison River Valley for . . . Madison River Fly Fishing; Hunting; Boating; Hiking; or Touring Big Sky Country and West Yellowstone. Or, if you just want to relax, the views are as beautiful as ever, and wildlife still walks through in the evening.
Approximately nine miles from Ennis, close to the Varney Bridge, this vacation home on 7 acres provides the perfect spot for fishing, wilderness fun and relaxation.
Within a half hour drive of historic Virginia City, or an hour from West Yellowstone’s many wonders or shopping in Bozeman, Westhaven’s location is also great for anglers of all types. Just a few minutes from the popular upper Madison River and approximately 20 minutes from Ennis Lake, fisherman are treated to great fishing throughout the season for Rainbow, Brown and Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout as well as Whitefish and Arctic Grayling. You may also enjoy the Ennis Golf Course, just a few minutes away.
Westhaven is a modified A-frame, full of country charm, with vaulted, beamed ceilings. A cathedral style front wall of glass opens to a private deck offering breath taking views for miles in every direction. Upstairs, the large master bedroom has a queen sized bed, walls of windows to watch the stars and a private bath.
Downstairs, the living room (with large stone fireplace) opens to the dining area, breakfast bar and roomy, modern kitchen. Further down the hall are two more cozy bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with 2 twins), a bath, utility room with washer and dryer, and mud room. The rental is fully stocked to provide bedding, dishes, towels, a barbeque, an additional air bed.
Layout of property allows for plenty of parking space for vehicles, trailers, or boats. Down the hill from the house, the property also has a small barn/corral and horses can be allowed for an additional fee and with owner's approval.

This was our second trip to Westhaven and I continue to be impressed. Walking in the door you immediately begin to relax and feel at home. The stunning panaoramic veiw of the mountain range from the living room and charming decorations give the place a country upscale ambiance that we never get tired of. The amennities were great with lots of little extras to make us comfortable and the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms gave us plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. The location is perfect, we were able to get to Yellow Stone, enjoy a amazing day in the park and still get back in time to kick back on the porch and watch a herd of antelope meandering down the hillside at sunset. And I can't rave enough about the fishing, 10 min or less away were some of the best fishing spots I've encountered period. You're also far enough from town to feel away from it all but close enough for any last minute necessities, and the town itself was worth spending some time in. There are some pleasantly surprising shops and the locals are a blast. The place was very clean, well maintained and both the property manager and the owners were hands on and eager to make sure our stay was hicc-up free. Each vacation has been wonderful and we will definitely be coming back soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Our Family Is All From Montana, And When I Saw This Property In Ennis My Wife And I Thought This Would Be Great For A Family Gathering. The Owners Wes & Barbara Were Awesome People, Great Hosts, And Were A Wealth Of Information Concerning The Madison River Valley, And Surrounding Area. Wes & Barbara Were Concerned Of Our Needs, Yet Respected Our Privacy. I Would Recommend This Property Not Only To Family /Relatives, But To Others That Want To Spend Time Enjoying Montanas Wide Open Spaces, And Extensive Wildlife. Thank You For A Great Time Here At WestHaven. And We Will Return. :):):)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

In our opinion, it is overpriced. The best thing is the view; that's about it. It is located very near a noisy gravel road with quite a bit of traffic. It is a very old A frame with dirty glass windows. Several things needed fixing like the broken screen in the front window. The upstairs bedroom has a window ac, but you will cook in the downstairs on a hot day with the sun glaring through the front windows. Sorry to have to say this as this owners seem like nice people.Owner response: As Owners, and after years of serving guest from across the United States and Europe, we are very sorry to hear that Jeff and Carol didn’t have the vacation they were hoping for at Westhaven. Those staying with us have contact numbers for us and our property managers, should a need arise at any time, and professional cleaners assure cleanliness and special touches await each of our guests. We want our guests to know what to expect so, if you’re thinking of choosing Westhaven, please know that it was an original homestead and, although wonderfully restored, retains its country charm. And, while the popular location provides easy access to many great places and a variety of activities, the well traveled gravel road can be busy and become dusty in dry weather (especially during the season or if there is a hatch) . Please feel free to contact us - We welcome any questions you may have.
