A totally unique Alaskan experience. Tucked away in the backwoods near noted fishing stream Quartz Creek, this property also has a bubbling mountain stream running through it. A creekside fire pit is perfect for relaxing and grilling by in the Alaskan wilderness. A variety of accommodations are available from a quaint wood stove heated guest cabin to a well outfitted 1200 sf house (part log-part modular construction) with full amenities including a 42" Jacuzzi Tub. We also have a "cub cabin" with a camper style bunk bed.
In the surrounding area, the activity options are endless: A short walk to Quartz Creek or a short drive to the Kenai River. In addition, horseback rentals are available nearby, and National Forest hiking and biking trails begin virtually at our doorstep. One of Alaska's earliest gold rushes occurred in the area and gold panning areas are open nearby free to the public .

My family spent two cozy nights in the main cabin. It was exactly what we were looking for we had everything we needed. My six year old enjoyed snow machining with Dad, while I relaxed and enjoyed the warm winter sunshine. The owner was great to work with and made sure everything was perfect for us. The location is great, very close to many activities. We are looking forward to a return visit in the summer.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: 54 year lifelong resident Chris Nyman knows Alaska as well as anyone. He loves the outdoors, natural history and science, and tinkering with ideas and prototypes. Of all the places in Alaska to live, he considers Cooper Landing to be the best of all worlds. Although an active snowmobiler, he appreciates quiet surroundings more than the average person.
Why the Owner Chose Cooper Landing:
Incredible recreation opportunities in the area. Sleepy community most of the year but a fast and furious tourist season especially for the nearby world famous Kenai River.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Creekside natural environment. Easy access to great services and wilderness activities.
