Have it All!!! True Water Front, Amazing Views, Spacious Property

We have spent the past ten summers on the lake with our kids and have always rented private homes found on VRBO®. There were several things that we felt were important when selecting a home for vacation. We wanted plenty of space for two families to enjoy together, a great view, easy walk down to the water, some privacy, and a kid friendly area in the home so the adults could have some space to maintain their sanity after a full day on the water.
Located on the Kings River Arm of Table Rock (the quiet side) is our 4 bedroom 3 bath Paradise offering over 3800sf of family fun. I gutted this home down to the framing and just completed a full remodel. The main level is very spacious and open and finished with the best quality of fixtures and finishes. Neutral decor with all the upgrades including exotic granite, hand scraped hard wood floors, custom trim and cabinets, oil rubbed bronze fixtures, etc. It is hard to believe this a 'Lake Home'. Everything is new from the light switches to the furnishings.
The Large Master bedroom has a pillow top king bed, 2 large cedar closets, love seat, LCD TV and a private bath. Large picture windows and glass sliding doors to access the upper deck. The lake side wall has floor to ceiling remote controlled custom blinds. It is so cool to wake up and hit a button to open the blinds and the lake appears right in front of you. You didn't even have to get out of bed!!
The Second Bedroom also has King pillow top bed, LCD TV, large cedar closet and neutral decor.
The third bedroom has (2) queen beds and dresser with patio doors accessing the front of the property.
The fourth bedroom has (2) full size beds and dresser.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans and very plush carpeting.
The basement level is where the Fun begins for the kids and also us adults. Over 1400 sf of open space with 12' ceilings and a floor to ceiling double sided fireplace. The walls have natural cedar lining cut and milled from cedar trees on the property. We have installed air hockey, foos ball, ping pong, pin ball, full size multi-cade arcade games, game table, LCD TV's, Stereo, Wet bar and even an Arcade Style 8' bowling lane.
Now to the great outdoors. This is why we come to the Lake right? We have over 1400sf on two levels of covered decks. A natural creek and waterfall runs through the property and you walk from the lower deck over a bridge to the back yard. The space is cleared and very open with a path to the waters edge and a large fire pit. Our property is three lots wide and has approximately 300' of lake front. Several cliffs along the water to fish from and easy access into the water. Definitely the best fishing on lake is the Kings River Arm. When the pro's come to town this is where they fish. Large Crappy, Bass, Walleye and Catfish.
The State Park boat launch is 1.1 miles away and very nice access. The marina is approximately 4 minutes by water. We do not have a boat slip available but our small cove is perfect for mooring or you can rent a slip at the marina but it is about 17 minute drive by land.
We are located 20 minutes from Cassville, Mo. Where you will find Wal-Mart and other services. There are smaller stores within 5-10 minutes of our home. Some close attractions are Eureka Springs (20 min), Roaring River State Park and nearby Water Slide (20 min), Branson (45min) Golfing at Kings River and the 'Great Passion Play'.
It really doesn't get any better than Table Rock Lake. Over 800 miles of shoreline surrounding one of the cleanest and natural bodies of water. Our kids have been fortunate to have traveled to many places but if you ask them where they want to go? They say 'The Lake'!!!

Fun Thanksgiving Getaway!

Our family rented this home over the Thanksgiving holiday, and we were not disappointed. The home was exactly as presented, the photos a very accurate representation of the actual space. There were nine of us in total, including two small children, and the house had everything we needed! The kitchen was well appointed, and the home was very comfortable. Everyone was able to have their own room, and the basement provided a respite for fun and relaxation. The video games and air hockey were a big hit, as well as the fire pit in the backyard. It was a nice and quiet area, and it was nice to get away (with limited cell service even!). Eureka Springs wasn't far, as well as several natural forests and parks nearby. The house and area have something for everyone - the guys went four-wheeling in a park nearby, and the gals went shopping in Eureka Springs. The owners were great to work with, and answered all of our questions. We had no issues with the home, and would rent again - maybe when it is warmer next time! Follow the owner's driving instructions provided at the time of rental, as the GPS does not do a great job of getting you there.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We have booked many stays in the US and overseas through VRBO. The owners description of this property is accurate, and if anything understated. You will not be disappointed. Our extended family (six adults, two children, and two infants) spent a wonderful nine days at this home. The large waterfront lot sets this property apart as shoreline development is severely restricted at this Corps of Engineers lake. We were content spending many days entirely at the property swimming, enjoying the large decks and views, and of course trying out the games downstairs. We enjoyed side trips to Eureka Springs and to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville. Fly fishing for trout in the Roaring River is just 10 minutes away. We could not believe the quality and scale of the exhibits at the Golden Museum (free admission) just a mile from the house - well worth the visit. At the end of the days spent away from the house it was great to return to the comfort and amenities of such a well appointed home. The owners were a pleasure to deal with.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

What a great place to stay. A family get together with nine of us and we all had plenty of room. House was very comfortable. Kitchen worked well for us plenty of room for everybody to do what they needed to do. The back deck was where we spent a lot of time. Great view and plenty of wildlife to see. My niece spotted the red fox first. The downstairs game room was also a hit. The place overall was enjoyed by all.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We loved this house. It worked perfectly for our lake vacation. The main level was great, the kitchen was large and beautiful, all the bedrooms were comfortable and cool (it was about 104 every day) and the basement was awesome for the kids. In addition, this house has great lake access. So many other homes we saw as we were enjoying the lake did not have the easy lake access we did. We rented a pontoon boat from King's RIver Marina (very close) and they were helpful and friendly. The firepit was a great place for smores and camp songs. It was a great trip and the house was a big part of it!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Troy and Terri's home is amazing; they have really done a great job on the interior of this place. The location is also perfect; having both cliffs and walk in access to the water was great for the kids and adults. The game room was on the top of everyone’s list of greatest part of the house as well as the amazing kitchen. Troy and Terri were very hospitable and accommodating to us during our stay. I would recommend there house to anyone wanting a peaceful family getaway. We had 10 of us and we never felt crowded. I hope to make this a return visit. Our only negative comment is there is no boat slip, but this is a common theme on the lake as the Army Corp of Engineers limits who and how many slips are on the lake. But the mooring buoys supplied were adequate for our boat. The ThiemansRecommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Took the whole family with grandkids, total of 9 people. Rented a boat for the week and was able to enjoy the quiet Kings River Arm fully for tubing, skiing, and just jumping in. Everyone experienced the cliff jumping and it was great to have both high cliffs and low cliffs for all ages. The game room also came in handy a couple nights as it was nice and cool down there while it was over 100 outside. We felt we did have to watch the 3 kids under 9 on the bridge due to no lower railing and for all walking down to the water was careful because of the rocky terrain if there is anything that can be done to provide better footing there, that would be great. Kitchen was perfect sized with plenty of space for cooking and helpers. It was also nice to be able to use the garage for the cars as it was over 100 everyday so that helped to keep them cooler. Overall, it was a great stay!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

Our family spends a week each year on Table Rock at Big Cedar Lodge. This year we decided to extend our time on the lake and chose to rent this house for our family for a few extra days. It was fabulous!! We had the entire lake to ourselves! The property was beautiful; we couldn't ask for anything more. The kids LOVED the downstairs game room. We will definitely be back!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We could not have asked for a better home to spend our week. There were 6 adults and 4 kids and we never felt like we didn't have enough space. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed to prepare meals. The game room was a big hit for both the children and the adults. Most nights were spend down there playing cards while the kids played games. Looking out and seeing the lake was amazing and so nice to just throw our suits on and jump in the water. Everyone had a great time!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We spent 9 days at the lake house with our adult children and it was a terrific place to unwind, play some games, and enjoy each other as well as the lake. We brought 3 inflatable kayaks (Sea Eagles Deluxe), which were really a hit. The huge kitchen was great for making big meals and we enjoyed grilling out as well. There are lots of places throughout the house and property to find time alone to read/rest but also large enough rooms and porches to gather for cards or games. We loved having a drum circle at the fire pit where we sang songs and bonded as a tribe :)Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

We enjoyed every minute we were here. The house is comfortable and has all amenities that anyone would want. Waking in the morning to see the lake enveloped in fog only to be burned off in a short while and then the sun would be reflecting off the waves. The only regret that we had was that with three couples together, and each had their own list of things to see and do, we did not have sufficient time to be at the house and really enjoy all it had to offer. In fact, the consensus of our group was, that another trip would have to be planned in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Owner info
About the owner: We reside in Nebraska with our three children (19,18,9). We enjoy the entire lake experience. Keep in mind you don't have to be on the water to enjoy the lake. We were down over the winter this year and it was just amazing. The lake actually froze over due to the cold but it was sure pretty. The kids have grown up each summer on this lake and we are just happy to share our new found home with others.
Why the Owner Chose Golden:
I was originally from the area and have always loved Table Rock. After I married and had our first two children we always came down during the summer and rented a home with other couples. We just truly love the relaxing environment around the lake. Not over commercialized or to busy just a big family lake that we have always enjoyed.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our property just works for us. Easy access to the water, great fishing, plenty of space and still close enough to markets and services. We enjoy being away from it all so to speak but still in reach of it if we want to get off the water for a day. But there are no resorts and heavy traffic around us we are off the beaten path and that is what we enjoy.
