The house is in a great location but that is about as far as it goes. We told the owners that we were having our family there for Thanksgiving dinner and they neglected to tell us that the dining table only seats four. Nothing matches in the house and everything is very worn and dirty especially in the kitchen. There is no TV and that would have been nice to know prior to the day before our arrival also, because of football on Thanksgiving. All and all, we'd never go back there. Plus our deposit took over a month+ to get back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: Our family enjoys spending weekends at the farm, going on walks to the red covered bridge and through the Gettysburg National Military Park, biking through the countryside, skiing, gardening, and cooking!
Why the Owner Chose Gettysburg:
What drew us to the fields around Gettysburg and to our farm are the history and beauty of the place.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The farmhouse is a peaceful, relaxing sanctuary just across the street from the Civil War battlefields of Gettysburg. The Appalachian Mountains can be seen from the back patio. Enjoy walks on our 60 acre property surrounding the house. Explore the Sachs Bridge (we call it the Red Covered Bridge) which you can see from the front porch; the bridge stretches over a large creek where you can go fishing.
