What a lovely, well-appointed condo...everything lived up to your claims and then surpassed our expectations! Too many extra nice touches to mention but the wicker rockers on the balcony were our favorite..a very romantic home with an wonderful view ..even though the weather was cool and slightly gray , your beautiful home and oceanview made up for the lack of sunshine! Dave, Thank you so much for your rental at the Palms all I can say was it was AMAZING! Much more than I expected. I used your condo as a girls get away and it was PERFECT. Waking up every morning over looking the beach seeing dolphins everyday was just what we needed. The location is perfect, a short walk to the pier to get a cold drink was our favorite thing to do. Your condo is beautifully decorated for a relaxing week and your recommendations on where to go were fantastic. You were a pleasure doing business with and I can not wait to get back there and enjoy the blue ocean again real soon. Thanks for everything it couldn't have been a better time.

Perfect Girl's Vacation!

We were so lucky to plan a girl's getaway from the New England weather, and stay at Dave and Shellie's gorgeous condo in Myrtle Beach. As soon as we walked into this condo, we were immediately relaxed and felt right at home, especially looking straight out at the water! It was obvious at first glance that the owners have poured their heart and soul into making sure every detail in the condo will make you feel like you are on vacation, while staying in a very well maintained home. The bedroom was the perfect size, with 2 beds and a nice closet, and draw space for us. The kitchen has a full size fridge, along with a dishwasher, which was greatly appreciated! The living room was a great size. There was a beautiful bar, with new counter tops, and plenty of storage and many drink glasses. There is not a bad view in the living room, as you stare out at the ocean. It was incredible to wake up every morning and head out to the balcony with coffee, to sit and watch the dolphins swim. The view is breathtaking and there are no words to describe the peace and serenity you will experience. It was very convenient to walk out to the beach and continue along down to the pier and boardwalk. I was so happy to find that there was so much we could walk too. The location of The Palms is perfect for a little peace and quiet, but still close to the action of the downtown area. The pictures that you see on the website are beautiful, but nothing will do you justice than to go down there and see for yourself. It was a pleasure to work with Dave, and he was very accommodating to us. I can not wait to plan a return visit, but until then, I will be recommending Dave Maher and the Palms resort to all of my family and friends. Thank you Dave and Shellie for a trip of a lifetime!

I had stayed at some of the other suites at the Palms in the past but nothing compared to this place. You walk in and you feel like you are in a home. There is so much care put into every aspect of the suite. Obviously the view from the balcony is 2nd to none you are so far up that you can see miles down the beach. At night you can see the lights from the new Ferris wheel built on the boardwalk. If you have a small group of people this is the suite that I recommend. Dave is also one of the nicest owners I have worked with from this site.

Hi Dave, This was our first experience with renting from VRBO and we had a wonderful and relaxing time in your condo. The condo décor is tastefully done with lots of thoughtful touches. Like one of the other reviewers stated “The description and pictures were only a teaser for the actual experience”. Watching the sunrise from the balcony was picture perfect. The family had a great time and the wife didn’t want to leave. I will come back and recommend to friends and family.

A family reunion was enhanced by having our own condo to retreat to. The view was fantastic and the beds were comfortable. Very nice and clean! Obviously loved by the owner, there are lots of cute personal items that made one feel like they were staying at a friends place. Everything we needed was there! Had a most enjoyable time there, perfect for one couple!

Hi Dave, We had a great time in Myrtle Beach during our recent stay in your rental unit. The place was very nice and clean and the beds extremely comfortable. The property managers at Carnival Inn took great care of us and were very helpful whenever we needed anything. We were in town for a baseball tournament and our entire team stayed at the resort. Of all the rooms, ours definitely was the best! The decor, the updated look, the cleanliness were outstanding! Many of the other rooms we saw were extremely dated, very crummy-looking. I can't imagine who would want to stay in those rooms- we even heard that people requested different rooms after checking in and seeing their accommodations. Also, the common areas were a little run down and old as well-- the elevators were dark,slow and floors always wet. Some of the clientele were a little suspect at best. In your rental, I wish the bathroom was larger. If there was a way to get rid of the wet bar and push the bathroom out into its space, the space would be a lot better used. The extra two or three feet would really help. But overall, we really enjoyed our time in Myrtle Beach and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Thanks for everything!!!

My husband and I needed a relaxing vacation away from town to escape the overall every day hustle, not only to escape that, but just to get away to ourselves for a while. The last part of 2010 was Tramatic after loosing my 34 year old brother in an autombile accident. My mind has not been at ease since. Trying to take care of my family and be there for them 100% has taken a toll on both myself and my husband. We needed this time. It was great! Enjoying the nice ocean view and just sitting and relaxing in the beautiful well decorated condo. What a relaxing experience. I have always been a renter from VRBO and have never been dissatisfied at all. I would recommend this to anyone who looks for the comfort of Home away from home.

I can't tell you how pleased we were with this condo. We have stayed at several places via online research, and this by far is our favorite. We had ZERO problems. The condo is everything we had hoped for and more. We even slept multiple nights on the sofa bed just to see the sunrise.... if you step back... it looks like the balcony just steps off into the ocean! You won't believe how well maintained and beautiful this condo is. We had a fantastic week- needless to say- we were bummed to leave. They have thought of everything. We will be staying again....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palms Resort. In addition to the spectacular sunrises and ocean view, the interior decor added to the "beach theme". The location was great as we were able to walk to many of the area's restaurants. Everything we needed was nearby. With today's technology, we were able to find and view our options. Words can't describe the breath-taking views that are seen from the room balcony of the Condo. From the sunrise and sunset to watching the dolphins swim up the coastline every afternoon. Literally a one minute walk from your room to walking on the beach. Minutes from every retaurant or shopping experience imaginable. Not like your typical hotel stay where you can't get any sleep. Has all the touches and comfort of home. And with all that being said, the best part of it all is the great easy and simple booking of this vacation!!! Quite simply a few e-mails back and forth about length of stay and payment details. I made payment through optional Paypal for the easiest and one of the most memorable vacation stays of my life. Hope to come back for years to come.

This location is absolutely gorgeous if you are thinking of staying in Dave's condo you will NOT regret the small investment of your money to gain an incredible gain of relaxation and rejouvenation - the condo is very comfortable and perfectly located near beach shops as well as regular town stores such as walmart and foodlion - the only thing I would change is to add darkened curtains to the bedroom to make daytime naps more peaceful than just the blinds that currently exist - believe me you will NOT be dissappointed we had a very comfortable and fabulous honeymoon ~ thank you so much Dave!!!!

We vacationed at Dave & Shellie's beautiful condo from 9/11/09 thru 9/18/09 and had a fantastic time. The condo is beautifully decorated in a palm tree decor that truly stands out from other condo's we had researched. It made us feel as though we were in a tropical island. All the amenities you could ask for were available and in perfect condition. We enjoyed the views of the ocean and were fortunate to see the dolpins swim by on the first day. We enjoyed glassed of wine on the balcony at night as well as our morning coffee. Binoculars were also provided for viewing from the balcony. It was truly a wonderful time at a great condo and we will definely be back. Dealing with Dave was a pleasure and he couldn't have been more helpful. Thanks for sharing your condo.

Dave and Shellie,I would like to thank you for letting my boyfriend and I use your beach home. It's the first time I have seen an ocean and I'm 35 years old. It was everything that I dreamed it would be. The views were out of this world and the condo had all the comforts of home. The palm tree theme was fitting for the place. We experienced so many things in the six nights that we we're there. Our stay was from the 12-17th of July. We parasailed, jet skied, went to a day trip to Charlestown, SC., ate at the Hard rock cafe and caught the Medievil Times show. For anyone I would recommend this show it was great. My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Mr. Maher's condo located in Mytle Beach. The inside of the condo was immaculate, everything was so clean and felt homey. The view from the balcony was amazing, a beautiful beach view.It was also so convienent to walk down stairs and you are on the beach. There is also a jaquzzi and pool on the beach as well as walk up restuarants and bars for happy hour. Also,if you are looking for things to do, his condo is right in the middle of everything, boardwalk on the beach about 5 mins includes shopping, dining, and attractions. There is so much to explore while your here and everything was so close by! Definatly the best vacation we have ever had! I definatly recommend staying here! I know we will be coming back before the end of the year!

We appreciate you allowing us to stay in your condo for our vacation. We were getting discouraged because we couldn't find the quality and price of a condo we liked. But after seeing your website and talking with you, we hoped we had found the right place.... and we did! We loved your condo and couldn't have asked for anything better! Flat screen tv's, board games, movies, cookware, everything we needed to make it a home away from home was already there.The hotel itself was further south than we thought it was, but it was easy in and out and parking was fine. We left this wonderful condo less than one week ago and miss it already. The advertising is hard to believe but believe me...it is everything it seems to be, plus more. Thanks for allowing my family to stay in your beautiful condo. It was everything advertised and more. The décor was very inviting and the view was spectacular. My family appreciated all the extra touches to make you feel as if you were home. The binoculars were a great touch. Even though the weather was still a little cool we were able to swim in the outdoor pool, which felt like swimming in a hot tub. We had family staying down the street at another establishment and they were jealous once they saw our room. We will be back!!!

This condo has a very convenient location. Access to the relaxation of the beach, a water park for the kids or shopping for everyone was easy. There is a BILO grocery store a short distance away with an excellent selection of produce and other general groceries. We also recommend checking out the new shopping/restaurant area at the former Air Force Base near the current airport. The condo itself is very nicely decorated and gives one a true sense of being on vacation. The check-in procedure is very simple. Overall the experience was very positive and I have no hesitation in recommending renting from Dave.

Dave & Shellie, My wife and I had a great honeymoon at Myrtle Beach! We really enjoyed staying in your condo; it was very cozy! We liked the decorations and the view from the balcony was spectacular!!! The condo was very clean and was a short drive/walk to alot of restaurants and shopping! Every morning we loved to open the door to the balcony to get that wonderful ocean breeze through the condo and to look out at the beach! Dave & Family, Our stay in your unit was great. We had plenty of room with space to spare. The view from the 14th floor balcony was great, despite it being a little cool and breezy during our stay. One thing that I really liked was that parking was never an issue. We were able to park close every time we came and went from the condo. Hi Dave - we just returned from a 4-day stay at your condo and loved it! It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Our days usually started and ended on the balcony - we enjoyed the ocean view and had fun people watching too! The pool and hot tub at the Palms were well maintained and we enjoyed frequent soaks in the hot tub at night! The ladies at the Carnival next door were helpful with answering any of our questions. Also, on our last day the Palms was installing wireless network capability....so, by our next visit I think our laptop will work!! Thanks again for letting us enjoy your place!

Dave & family, your condo is beautiful, comfortable, and even nicer than it appears in your photos. It's easy to see you've put a lot of thought and care into every detail. You were so kind & easy to work with, which meant a lot. I don't believe anyone could find a nicer place on the beach, and the views are wonderful! We spent a big portion of our time on the balcony. We watched the sunrise over the ocean in the mornings while sipping coffee or hot chocolate, and saw dolphins every morning! I love the beach at night, and it was so relaxing to sit out there and see and hear the waves roll in. If I had to rate your condo (and you) on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it (and you) a 20!

We have just returned from our vacation at Dave's place at Myrtle Beach. We spend at least 3 days at Myrtle beach every.Next year we will not have to wonder where we will stay, we are going back to Dave's. Great location, easy parking and beutiful beach front you can't beat it.

Me and my family just got back from staying in Daves unit and were very pleased. He answered all our questions and made us feel very secure in renting by owner online. The unit was very nice and contained everything you might need to accomodate your stay. I would definetely do it again!! Thank you Dave for allowing us to stay in your home!!
