We found the house comfortable, quiet, beautiful, and lacking not a thing. Great construction, layout, and very tasteful. For us, there is (almost) nothing not to like about Baja Sur, and having Sonrisa as our home—which is precisely how it felt—made our honeymoon extraordinary. While we took advantage of the excellent locale (an overnight in La Paz, day trips to places like the Sol de Mayo waterfall, among other things), we were often entirely content to simply stay put in Sonrisa: we cooked great meals with local foods in the spacious kitchen, read our books while lounging in the porch hammocks, and grooved on the nearly-blinding Milky Way from the roof at night. We left just a few weeks ago, and are already plotting our return. We loved this place and you will, too.

What a treat! We really enjoyed making Sonrisa our home away from home. I was blown away by how beautiful it is - elegant simple design. I loved the open air courtyard in the center. My absolute favorite was the hammocks on the porch and I find the view is understated in the write-up. You can see the ocean from the front porch and watch the sunrise from bed! I have never been a morning person, but mornings at Sonrisa were magical. The walk to the beach is easy and the beach is lovely - no crowds. The property managers were very responsive and even mailed my postcards for me.

We felt instantly at home at the Sonrisa. Very comfortable, beautiful traditional architecture including a garden, courtyard, colorful tiles, and an open air shower. The tiled kitchen is spectacular. Quality construction and the beauty of the place is in the detail. A great place to relax and enjoy margaritas on the patio and watch birds, walk the beach, and swim. The roof is an amazing place to watch the stars. There are several grocery stores and good restaurants nearby. An easy drive from Cabo. We are definitely coming back.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Sonrisa immensely! It is the perfect location on the Baja peninsula for day trips around the entire peninsula! We loved the well equipped kitchen, the hammock on the porch and the open air feeling to the house. Birds were all around the beautifully landscaped yard. My husband and I and our two teenagers rented ATVs one day, snorkeled, did a day trip to Cabo and the Pacific coast to board and tour art communities. The feeling of being in a small community gives you the chance to see how the culture really lives. Everyone was kind and welcoming! We could walk to the grocery store, local food and the beach! Our favorite family vacation to date! My husband and I look forward to returning again when the kids head off to school!

This tasty little gem of a place is fun Baja living at it's finest. I enjoyed my stay there very much and although it was in June, when it's quite warm, the house and veranda stayed cool and comfortable. It overlooks wonderful sandy beaches and that great calming blue sea of cortez, with mountain views in the distance. Within a short walk there are many good restaurants and taco stands and a very nice grocery store. Be sure to take a beach stroll to the famous "round bar" for a happy hour margarita. There's a very reputable dive shop, Vista Sea Sports, 5 minutes away. A great day trip is go with them to the Cabo Pulmo Marine park for scuba or snorkeling. The house itself is a very cool use of color texture and design. Quite nice and the price is hard to beat. Enjoy.
