This home was clean, cozy and comfortable for the two of us and our Jack Russell Terrier. All was as pictured and advertised. We only used the master-bedroom. It was large, easily accommodating the comfortable king-size bed and the usual bedroom furniture (plus our dog’s bed) without tripping or stepping over anything. The laundry facility (in an alcove beside the washroom) was top-notch and laundry detergent was provided (not dryer sheets, but we always pack some in our suitcases). The kitchen seemed to be reasonably well equipped, but we did not cook substantial meals and, other than the refrigerator, only used small appliances. We washed the few dishes by hand and, oddly enough, no dish-towel is provided although dish soap and a dish rag are (That point was mentioned in our confirmation instructions. We bought a cheap one at Wal-Mart for under $2). Other than a postage-stamp size kiddie “park” with a few swings, there are no parks or greenspaces within walking distance, and there are no sidewalks. However it’s a very quiet residential area with reduced speed-limits and no through-traffic. We felt quite safe walking our dog around the neighbourhood. Our little dog also enjoyed playing fetch in the secure backyard, and we drove out to Sullivan’s Island Beach, Waterfront Park, and other places, for longer walks. The unseasonably cold weather kept us indoors more than we had anticipated. We read, watched TV, or went online to catch up on missed episodes of our favourite TV shows. But also thanks to the cold weather we got to see camellias still in full bloom (wowwwww....so many colours and forms) and a rainbow of azaleas that hadn’t quite reached their peak. We especially enjoyed them at Summerville’s Azalea Park and at Magnolia Cemetery in North-Charleston. Well-behaved dogs are welcomed in many places and we really enjoyed our little dog’s company on this trip (One day as we gazed into an antique shop’s windows, the owner beckoned us inside....with the dog!!!) Brian was very pleasant and professional in all our dealings with him. He responded to our many enquiries promptly. He was quick to correct a minor problem that occurred during our stay. He has contacted me for the return of the safety deposit; I have no doubt it will be in the mail shortly. We plan to return to Mount-Pleasant next year and will definitely stay at this house if it is available.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

Stayed here while visiting our son during the holidays. Cute and comfortable cottage in a very convenient location, easy in easy out. Front three rooms were ideal for entertaining our son's future in-laws. Our four legged daughter was very happy here. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions or concerns. Sullivans Island beach is just down the road about 10 minutes and very dog friendly. Literally minutes away to all types of shopping. We will contact Brian again for rental in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We had such a nice holiday. There are lots of special touches in the house that really make a difference: the dog beds, the kitchen is beautiful, the wood blinds, the foosball table, the pumpkins, and of course your instructions and suggestions for places to go and see / experience. We will definitely stay there again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

My wife and I were looking to take a long weekend with our 1-year old daughter, our first vacation together as a family. The house was in great shape with hardwood floors throughout, granite countertops, and even a foosball table. We took advantage of the kitchen to prepare our meals while we were there. Our main goal was to spend some time on the beach, and Sullivan's island is only about 10 minutes away, even with holiday weekend traffic. We also went over to Isle of Palms, about 10-15 minutes further north, since they had showers on the beach (necessary for washing the sand out of our daughter's eyes). We ended up taking some walks around the neighborhood and met several of the other neighbors just in a few days of being there. This is a great place to stay with kids or pets.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

After a week at an IOP oceanfront rental, we stayed four nights at Brian's home to get a closer look at the area and to be close to the city, restaurants and activities. We were not disappointed! The home is comfortable and close to everything you need for dining, touring, and generally enjoying the Charleston area. The neighborhood is safe and the neighbors are friendly. We hope to return!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

Great place to stay with my family and my dog. The house had all the basics that we needed plus a fenced in backyard for my dog. The owner was very easy to deal with and even allowed us a late checkout. The location is fabulous! We were right in the middle of everything with no more than 15 minutes to our farthest destination spot. So much to do and see and all so close by. Our stay was great and everything went very smoothly. Thank you!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

What a great place to stay if you want to visit the Charleston area. This property is convenient to everything. Twenty minutes to downtown Charleston, ten minutes to Patriots Point and fifteen minutes to the beach. The house is located in a quiet family neighborhood. Everthing was as advertised. The house was clean and sufficiently equipped. The bed was very comfortable. It was pretty warm while we were there but the central air conditioning kept the house cool. It was great being able to take our two dogs with us. We travel in a 23' motorhome that fit in the driveway with no problem. The Visitor Center in Charleston has RV parking in a garage for only $10.00 for all day parking. The owners were very helpful and made some nice recommendations of things to do and where to eat. I had to contact the owner once during our stay and he responded back immediatley. If we were to visit this area again we would not hesitate to rent this house again.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

We had an absolute blast at this house for our weekend trip to see Charleston and the surrounding areas. We brought our dog with us and the house was very accomodating for her as well as us. There is a nice fenced in back yard and they even had some dog beds available at the house. The king bed was very comfortable for us also. We made a trip to Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Beaches one day, which was only about a 10 min drive; then we went to downtown Charleston another day, which was maybe 7 min at the most over a really cool looking suspension bridgel; and the last day we went to Folly Beach, which was only about 25 min away. So we were right in the middle of everything that we wanted to see or do. And there was even a couple of great restaurants right by the house itself. We really enjoyed eating at the Shem Creek places (3 min away) and watching the boats come by at sunset. We didn't really stay long enough to need to go food shopping, but there were even shopping centers close by with everything that you might need. There are so many great things that can be said about this home's location, which is what I feel makes it a great vacation rental. I would definitely stay at this house again; that is if we don't end up moving to Charleston because we love it there so much!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. Location was perfect for everything we did and the fenced backyard was an added bonus for our German Shepherd to enjoy. This is our second time staying here. We have 2 small kids and 2 small dogs and it is the perfect set-up for us for our weekend visit to Charleston. The house is clean, stocked well and the owners are great people to work with. It is a cozy home away from home for us. We highly recommend this property!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

This house was perfect and location was great with easy access to IOP, Shim Creek, and Sullivan's Island. We had wonderful meals at both Mustard Seed and Okra Grill. The back porch and yard was great for sitting out and having coffee in the morning while the dogs ran around in the yard. The kitchen is updated and spacious and the layout of the home is very open. Owners are helpful, responsive, and couldn't be easier to work with. The bottom line is that we felt right at home.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.

We found this rental had everything to fit our needs. I feel that the pictures really don't do it justice. It was very neat and clean and I loved the fenced in yard for our dogs, it was perfect for them! I think it is a great location near everything we wanted to do. We hope this unit will be available for our next stay!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This home is centrally located in the Mt. Pleasant/Charleston Area and it is convenient to all the surrounding attractions. We have stayed here many times while visiting our daughter at COFC. Most recently we stayed here during the Air Show; by far we had the best view of the spectacular show by renting kayaks on Shem Creek. We wish we would have known about this place when our children were participating in their traveling soccer teams, Patriots Point is very close and with the large fenced in back yard it would have been perfect to entertain the team after their tournaments. In the upcoming years we plan to rent this home as much as possible it has all the comforts of home. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners.
