Our home sits atop a hill on 15 acres of beautiful woods and the rolling, green hills of East Tennessee. The location is quiet and serene, serving as a wonderful retreat for rest and relaxation, while also offering outside adventure with plenty of terrain to explore and enjoy. The property has a small pond near the back of the acreage, and at the front extends to the Nolichucky River, a prime location to catch small-mouth bass, take a swim, or enjoy a picnic.
The house features a wrap-around porch where you can sip coffee and watch the sun rise or set, as the deer graze in the meadow. The main level boasts an open floor-plan with plenty of room for entertaining. There is a gorgeous, spacious kitchen complete with a gas cook-top and double-oven for creating your favorite meals and desserts. The dining area comfortably seats 10-12, or if a more intimate dinner is what you have in mind, you can enjoy it in the cozy nook located just off the kitchen. The living room has a stereo system and a 50" flat-screen TV w/DVD and VCR. The bedrooms are very spacious, each offering a unique view of the surrounding area. The master is on the main with a bright, open bathroom; while the upstairs offers four more bedrooms and two bathrooms. The basement has a ping-pong table and a large TV w/DVD & VCR.
We are centrally located only 15 minutes from Newport, Morristown and Greeneville; Douglas Lake is 30 minutes away w/boat and jet-ski rentals available. We are also only an hour from Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Johnson City, Bristol, or Asheville. In these cities, one can spend a day shopping, antiquing, visiting Dollywood or the Biltmore, or enjoy a high-speed day of Nascar racing.
