I am a retired flight attendant for a major airline and use H.A./VRBO often. This is the 1st time I have been disappointed in a rental. This rental was not as advertised. Kitchen: Ice Maker did NOT work and there were no ice trays. Cookware was old-only 1 frying pan so warped impossible to use/no cookie sheets. Dirty old sponge in sink. Dishtowels stained and gross. Hardly any condiments so be prepared to BUY EVERYTHING. Coffee filters not for the existing coffee pot. Bathrooms: 1/4 roll of toilet paper in the main bathroom only (we were told we had to buy our own) & NOTHING in the 3rd. The 3rd had no towels or handsoap. There was no TV in the family room.Online claims "Clean linens and towels will be provided upon your arrival. Guests welcome to use the in-unit laundry room to freshen any linens (detergent will be provide)." There was NO detergent provided. While our towels were clean, they were in deplorable condition, The bath towels were old, frayed, and falling apart at the seams.There were no beach/pool towels. Online claims "The Terrace with outdoor seating has a huge patio with dining table and stools, sofa and chaise lounges." The terrace had one -- covered with a disgusting tarp and falling apart-- sofa (?) no tables and I don't know where the chairs were. It also claims "beach front" The beach is 4 blocks away. Bedrooms: beds ok BUT Pillows in the bedrooms were disgusting. If you took off the pillow case you had an old flat pillow with spit and drool stains and yellowed from age. The bathroom in the master bedroom had a fan that was so loud it sounded like an airplane engine. There was NO hot water in this bathroom, forcing all 7 of us to shower in the main bathroom.There were NO blankets on the beds, only old bedspreads.There was no bedding for our 7th person and NO where for him to sleep other than the HOT loft. The loft area had a couch sofa BUT NO AIR CONDITIONING. The couch in the living room had a huge rip in it and was patched up with duc tape. The main lamp in the living room was w/o a bulb. The advertisement failed to mention that the waterslides are only open on the weekend, that the beach is filthy dirty and that the resort LOCKS with a padlock the gate at dark. Half my family got stuck outside the gates and had to walk through the barrio area to get back to the complex. Dangerous. We stayed only 3 of our 6 night rental (it was difficult to move over the holidays) and now having trouble getting a refund for unused nights.Owner response: In response to this review, which I do not understand, my apartment is as seen in the photos. The beach been four blocks, away where did this guest get that. The beach is one gate away approximally one block maximun distance. My appliances are new, and are stainless steel the best there is. Everything works, this is why I have a care taker in Puerto Rico to look after my apartment and my guest, if anything breaks or needs to be relaced is done immediatelly. I have flat screen TV's in every room, including the family room in the second floor. I also have stainless steel cooking pots and plenty of silverware, dishes and glasses. The coffee machine does not need coffee filter is very modern also if the guess wants to cook they have to provide the food and the condiments. About the lighting there is plenty of lights in the apartment. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms, dinning room, kitchen and living room, sorry but in my advertisement I never mentioned that there was air conditioning in the second floor. I don't know where is this guess coming from, but I assured you that my apartment is one of the most beautiful ones in Aquatika. Please read the reviews given to me especially the one in November 2012, they were there before this guest. The November guest and all the guest that have rented my apartment do come back because like I said my apartment is beautiful.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Loiza! The condo was perfect for us! We were six adults and one child. The place was safe, clean, and spacious and we especially appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, knives, and nice appliances since we cooked in most of our meals. The bedrooms were comfortable and we enjoyed the views of the ocean and mountains from our rooftop terrace! The grounds were lovely as was the beech. We loved all the pools which were VERY clean and the beach was nearly desserted each day. My four year old loved the added bonus of the playgrounds. Outside the condo grounds was a little rough but we never felt unsafe-- but we were only in our car outside of the complex. Our biggest challenge was finding a grocery store nearby. Our various smart phone maps were virtually useless in finding even a basic grocery store. After many attempts we finally found Ralph's (a really nice grocery store not far from Loiza in Rio Grande) and a KMart, Walmart, and Sam's Club. There are only a few roadside food kiosks and restaurants in and around Loiza so finding groceries was imperative! It would be helpful if the owner provided a binder with information on where groceries stores are (with specific driving directions) and also where to get fresh seafood (which we never found). Property had everything we needed. If they added AC to the loft this place would be perfect.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The Apartment/Villa/Condo felt truly like a private resort, very comfortable with all the conveniences of home. The views from the apartment were Beautiful! The pictures of the apartment on website are true to location. The private roof Terrance was a big plus day or night. The apartment was located near many attractions: we went to El Yungue (rain forest) Ponce very beautiful town, Old San Juan, and San Juan City so many places to eat local delicious food. The staffs at “Aquatika” were friendly and helpful. The owner Doris was great feel like I made a new friend. Understanding to needs and helpful even had Juan met us at the Airport/ Car Rental and drive back with us to apartment. There was plenty of room in apartment. Great for family with kids or several couples planning a Fun get away! *Tip* Get the local newspaper when you arrive, has events and places to go that are current during your stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
