My husband, sons and girlfriend stayed at this property and it was one of the cleanest houses we have ever stayed at through VRBO. Everyone had their own bathroom with nice towels, very comfortable beds and the house was perfect for all of us. There were a couple of items that were not there but were said to be provided and the owners brought them over that day. The location is great for the beach and both Harbor Town and South Beach are a bike ride away. The neighborhood is quiet and the oak trees are beautiful. The owners were so nice to offer an extra night free since we had a couple of days of bad weather and they did not have another booking that next day. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I took a much needed getaway vacation at this home. It is an absolutely beautiful place to stay- Jan and Kay have gone above and beyond to make it a 5 star experience! The kitchen was well stocked, and we loved drinking the Dunkin Donuts coffee in the mornings! It was so nice waking up and being able to open the screen doors on the back of the house to listen to the pool fountain. My husband really enjoyed being able to watch college football on the big screen TV, too, as they have lots of TV channels to choose from! The whole house is decorated beautifully, especially the bedrooms with each one having its own bathroom. The house is very clean and tranquil. The master bedroom and bathroom is very spacious... the bathroom has a wonderful jacuzzi tub to relax in and an amazing walk in shower.... I felt like I was at a spa! We also enjoyed riding bikes that were provided. We rode around Sea Pines and to the beach. It was such a lovely time. Jan and Kay are some of the finest people you will ever meet, and I would highly recommend renting their property. We certainly hope to return again!

This is a very nice house with all the extras. The bedrooms are spacious and the open living/dining areas are perfect for gatherings or separate time. The owners are also wonderful to work with. They are very attentive and accommodating.

This house is great for a group or family - wonderful kitchen - well equipped. Great pool and outdoor space. 5-10 minute walk to the beach - easy access. LOTS of bikes to ride. Really you can just pack your clothes and come. Only down side was the internet was so slow we could not effectively use it to gather information when needed.

We stayed at your wonderful house 8-11 thur 8-18. I’m sorry it has taken me this long to write but I wanted to take the time to thank you both for allowing us to use your house for our recent vacation. We had a wonderful time! The 8 bikes you provided where perfect! There were many times where we could have used 10, that’s how much in demand they were…..ha-ha. The beach access you told us about worked out great. There were times where the closest person to us was 50 yards away. I can clearly say that in the 25 yrs. of coming to the island this was the nicest stay we’ve ever had!!!! The fully stocked kitchen, extra beach towels, beach chairs, drinks in the small frig., bikes……etc. I could go on and on……were just wonderful touches! Not to mention your home is absolutely beautiful!!!! The one thing I have to apologize for is we completely filled up the recycling trash cans. I’m afraid we left no room for your next guests. If you didn’t notice we are all very much into recycling so we were very excited to see you were too!!! Thank you again it was a vacation to remember, and we can’t wait for our next trip!!!!

We had such a good time at 12 east garrison place.. The pool was awesome..bedrooms were great sizes and the shower in the Master Bath is AWESOME!!!. My husband enjoyed the whirl tub and night with his beer. If you are looking for a place that is quiet and beaches not crowded at all---than Hilton Head and Garrison Place is for you. We like that the house is ranch style and the welcome basket made by Kay was awesome too. J came a greeted us and told us all that we needed to know. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes and the walking and bike trails are great. There is even 7 bikes there for you to use and a nice cart to take your stuff back and forth to the beach. We will be back to visit Garrison place again.

Garrison Place lives up to all the reviews. The home is very well maintained and offers guest everything they need in a vacation getaway. The outdoor space is wonderful and the beach is only a short walk away. Anyone who selects this home will be very satisfied.

This home is absolutely fabulous! We arrived from Eastern NC on Sat night to a simply gorgeous home lit up like a Hawaian Christmas tree, Palm trees and tropical plants adorned the driveway and those awesome live oaks decorated with Spanish moss just invited us to relax, relax, relax. The long trip on I-95 melted away when we hit the door, saw the view of the pool, and found that wonderful welcome basket from Jan & Kay. We left our bags in the foyer, mixed a welcome beverage, and opened the sliding glass door to enjoy the pool and gazebo area. These good folks know how to welcome guests. The weather was great all week The home is just immaculate and had everything we needed. But that pool, with the fountain and waterfall view from underneath the gazebo, became our sanctuary for the week. The garage was full of bikes and we rode the trails several days visiting The Salty Dog cafe, the lighthouse, and several other destinations. Even rode the Hilton Head ZipLine and spent a day at the Sea Pines Nature Preserve You need to do Hinnochi for sushi, but ya gotta grill out under that fabulous gazebo and just enjoy relaxing by the pool. Jan and Kay are wonderful people and they have created a delightful home for Hilton Head visitors. We couldn't have had a better, more enjoyable, vacation in a fabulous home. Just miss the view of the back yard, the palmetto plants, and that gorgeous pool. :-(.

this home exceeded our expectations! i would have to say the biggest things that pop out in my mind about the home was how extremely clean it was, how fabulous the homeowners were with everything, and how the pictures on VRBO don't come close to giving it justice!! if we return to hilton head in the future we hope this property will still be available!

Perfect House!

My family and I went down for Thanksgiving last year (sorry for the delay in the review!). We had an amazing time. The house is perfect, and the owners were so hospitable. We met our family from MA, and they fell in love with Hilton Head. The weather was a tad on the chilly side, as expected, but we went to the beach everyday. The house has all the amenities you could ask for, and we prepared Thanksgiving dinner with great ease. The bedrooms and bathrooms are ample, and everyone felt like they had their own space. The house is in a great location, and is convenient to the beaches, South Beach and Harbour Town. We will be back soon, and hope to come when we can use the pool!

Making our very first trip to the island, we looked at many, many accomodations prior to deciding on J and Kay's place in Sea Pines. I can confidently say that we couldn't possibly have made a better choice. The pictures on this site don't come close to doing the home, the neighborhood or the environment justice. Add to that the amazing attentiveness and thoughtfullness of the owners who are right around the corner. Upon arrival, every detail was perfect, including several unexpected little touches from J and Kay. It was a week that we won't soon forget, and HHI is definitely going to be a return destination. Thank you for a wonderful home!!!

AMAZING!

This is the BEST vacation home that we have ever stayed in. The home is not only beautiful, it is immaculate! Everything is in pristine condition from the kitchen to the master bathroom. And let me just say, the master bath shower is sublime - the best shower I have ever taken in my life. The area around the house is so super quiet and tranquil. The pool is clean and refreshing. It gets a nice amount of afternoon sun. It wasn't too cold or too warm. The cabana area was clean and peaceful. We spent most of our days in the pool, BBQ'ing and enjoying all Sea Pines has to offer, including biking (the house comes with a couple of bikes), golfing, fishing, and total relaxation. Of course the beach is close by too! The photos above don't do this house justice. You must see it in person as it will just blow you away! I would recommend this to everyone I know, after I make my own reservations for next year of course :) The owners, J and Kay are such nice and helpful people. They greeted us when we arrived and also gave us a wonderful welcome basket, wine, beer and roses! They told us to call if we had any issues, but we didn't have a single problem. Everything was PERFECT!! If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We're already booking for May 2012! Thank you J and Kay for making our vacation amazing!

We loved this house! It's very spacious, clean, nicely decorated and very well-stocked. The owners, Jan and Kay, go above and beyond, providing you with a welcome basket and lots of extras. The pool/gazebo/deck area is private and relaxing and the pool is a good size and gets lots of sun mid day. Bikes were included which was a bonus for us. We loved the location bc it was central to harbourtown, seapines beach club and south beach marina. We would definitely return to this home in the future when we come back to HHI!!

Beautiful, clean house; Fabulous owners!

This house was amazing. We loved everything about it. The house is in tip-top condition, and is very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and opens into the family room, so it is so nice for a family. The pool gets good sun in the afternoon and the back porch is so quiet and relaxing. The owners are the best! After a nine hour drive to Hilton Head, we were greeted by the owners with a warm smile and a cold beer. After they left, we had trouble with the TV, and they were at the house in less than 5 minutes to fix it. The house backs right up to the bike trail, and is a five minute bike ride to the beach. The house comes with several bikes and a bike trailer. We had three kids and three adults staying in the house, and it felt very spacious. If you are looking for a house in Sea Pines, look no further. This one can't be beat.

Just perfect - it cannot get any better than this!

Well, maybe if you moved this place right onto the beach... but even that wouldn't make it better, because now you have all the sand around you all the time. Seriously - the only "problem" we had during a one-week stay with 4 adults and 6 children was the toaster sometimes became a bottle-neck in the morning to prepare bagels & toast for 10 people eating breakfast. To sum it up in 5 short words: THIS PLACE IS JUST PERFECT !!! The property is great, the location is great, the walk to beach is just 5 minutes (really, it takes 5, maybe 6 minutes to walk there), and Sea Pines in general is certainly the best spot on Hilton Head to be in. We enjoyed the bicycles that were provided, even with a trailer to carry small children. The pool is great, the BBQ grill is great, the living room is great, the kitchen is great ... the master bedroom is like a small apartment, the shower & bathtub are 5 star hotel style, and all other sleeping rooms are very nice too. I'm trying to think of something bad, but there isn't. I can recommend this place to any group or family who wants to enjoy a great time on Hilton Head. The owners are the nicest people you can imagine. Whenever we had a question they were there to answer. Once we locked the car in the garage and the remote control to open it was inside the car. It didn't take more than 3 minutes for J. to come by and open the garage for us. Then we tried to find a rental house nearby for friends who came to visit for a few days - within an hour we had the phone numbers of 3 agents who could help find an accommodation. One day we had a nasty storm come by and there was quite some green stuff all around the pool and terrace area - next morning it was all cleaned up by the service team. We had 10 people stay in the house with no problem - the owners were even so nice to give us some extra towels and sheets. This is the place you want to be in - if you find anything else better than this, let me know, but as I said: Unless you put this house right onto the beach it cannot get any better than it is. We would certainly pick the same place for our next visit to Hilton Head!

Everything We Could Want, and More!

We’d been looking forward to this vacation for 8 months, having booked the house last year to use for a family vacation. Sometimes when you anticipate something for so long, you can be disappointed or let down when you finally get there. That was NOT the case in this situation, however. We were very pleased with the house, and the Buckleys were exceptional in making sure we enjoyed our stay. They provide so many little extras that you just don’t get at most places, such as pool floats, bikes, beach chairs, laundry detergent, beach towels, and more. We were touched to find a personalized (and yummy!) cake in the fridge to celebrate my husband’s recent retirement. The house was even more gorgeous than the pictures, and even with 9 adults and an infant, we had ample space. The master bathroom was a delight, with its jetted tub and fabulous shower. For meals, we enjoyed grilling out by the pool as well as sampling a few great restaurants. Loved the Alligator Grille (although a bit pricy) as well as the Salty Dog, which was a quick bike trip away. Harbour Towne is close by as well, where you can enjoy lots of water activities such as kayaking, jet skis, banana boats, various cruises, etc. We’d have had to stay another couple weeks to do everything we’d have liked. Sea Pines is a gated community which keeps it wonderfully quiet. Even on the hottest days, the beach was never crowded … and what a beautiful beach it was! There are many great golf courses in Hilton Head as well, so this house would make a great get-away year-round. We will most definitely be back ... the sooner the better!

This was our second stay at Garrison Place and we loved it! It feels like home and we have the Buckley's to thank for that. The vacation home has everything you need and then some! The home is spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool area is beautiful and tranquil with the waterfall. The house is perfectly maintained and the Buckleys have provided everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The welcome basket is a very nice extra touch! We will back again and again!!!

Just want to say how much all six of us enjoyed the home. The bedrooms were perfect as well as baths. Everything we needed was provided. The entire home was very clean and everything was in excellent condition. We enjoyed the outside facilities w/meals, swimming and just relaxing. We feel you went way beyond the call and we do appreciate all your efforts. Also, the location is perfect and everything is very close the the home. We could ride our bikes to Harbor Town, South Beach, on the beach - just about anywhere. We look forward to enjoying the home again next year.

Vacation in Paradise!

Upon entering the house, we were pleasantly surprised at the simplicity and conveniences of the floor plan and the beauty of the decor. We immedately felt at home, as the owners went above and beyond what was necessary to make us comfortable and insured that we experienced complete satisfaction. The early morning view of the pool with a delicious cup of coffee provided a tranquil beginning to each day. Even though we were impressed by the property online, our expectations were exceeded. The location was convenient to all parts of the island, including easy access to excellent restaurants, horseback riding, beach, bike paths, walking trails, and it gave us incentive to explore nature at its best. This property will receive our highest recommendations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas stay here. The house is extremely well- maintained,and very nicely decorated. The owners couldn't have been nicer, or more helpful. They included several "extras" that you don't normally get at most rental houses, such as decorating the house for Christmas, including a tree. The property is at a great location. It's right on the bike path, and is a very short walk to the beach. We certainly hope to stay here again in the future. We have already told several of our friends to be sure to check this rental out the next time they go to HHI.

Perfect Family Vacation!!!!

We stayed at this house from Sept 11-18. The other reviews are right,the pictures don't do it justice. The house was very clean and the bedrooms are amazing. We had 7 adults and 1 infant and had more than enough living space. The owners were very helpful and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great time. Sea Pines was a great place to stay. Make sure to rent bicycles and explore that community. The beach was amazing and really is a 5 minute walk from the house. The pool at the house is awesome and our 10 month old loved floating in it. We ate at the Japanese Steakhouse Kuramya and the food was great. This is a great home for relaxing and enjoying the company around you. We were all sad to leave and can't wait to go back.

Perfect for family gathering

This house and location had it all. We had family coming and going all week. Well maintained, attentive owners who let us know if we needed anything to just call, well equipped and spacious. Because of the layout of the kitchen and the fantastic gas grill and outdoor living space we cooked dinner every night except for one. Standing Paddleboarding at Shelter Cove was a great activity. Otherwise we spent our time at the beach walking, swimming, using the pool (alot!), bike riding and golfing. Perfect week.

This is our 10th trip to Hilton Head and we loved this place! This house was wonderful in so many ways! Our party was 3 couples and 2 small kids. The living arrangements worked perfectly. Three of the bedrooms had queen or king beds and private baths, which worked great for the 3 couples. The 4th bedroom with twin beds and a bath right across the hall worked great for the kids. We loved the openess of the living room/dining/room/kitchen and the way it flowed outside into the patio and pool area. It made great space for visiting and relaxing. The pool was so nice and we loved taking a dip after a hot day at the beach. The patio was very big with great seating. We had fun cooking out several times at the "Tiki Bar". There is also a bike trail right behind the house, which we used a lot for biking, walking and running. The owners of the house are wonderful hosts. They live nearby and responded immediately to anything we needed. Everything about this house is nice - very new, very clean, nicely decorated, plenty of space, great location and terrific hosts! We had a wonderful trip and will definitely be back next summer!

Great home, great and helpful owners, pool fabulous, community simply the best! We were so very pleased with the home. The house is even BETTER than the photos! The kitchen is well appointed. We didn't want to do much else but hang around the house, enjoy each other's company, bike and overall enjoy the environment at Hilton Head. This is a great house. The owners were helpful when we needed it (e.g., needed to find an opthalmologist), but otherwise left us to enjoy our vacation. The lovely basket when we arrived was a sign of good things to come. If our vacations take us back to Hilton Head, we'll seek out this home, for sure. Our favorite part of the vacation was simply enjoying the home and its amenities and enjoying the company of our family. This home was PERFECT in helping us enjoy our vacation. THANK YOU!

This property exceeded our expectations! Beautiful trees make this house very private and allow for simultaneous sun and shade in the pool and deck area. Large covered Tiki patio is excellent for grilling out and relaxing. Pool deck area is much larger than it looks. Bike and running path while hidden, are close by for access to the beach and lighthouse area. Inside this house has a very open floor plan with high quality new appliances and expert interior decoration. We really enjoyed meeting the owners and they were happy to help and recommend things to do on the island. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful, Spacious, Perfect!

We were thrilled with our week at this property! The home has been newly refurbished and is BEAUTIFUL! The bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The layout is open and spacious enough for our 5 adults and 2 children to hang out without feeling like we were on top of each other. The pool is great - private, with a large covered porch ideal for outdoor meals. The wonderful Hilton Head beach is an easy walk away. The owners were extremely helpful and gracious. We will DEFINITELY be going back!

The house is AMAZING; we have NO complaints. The owners live nearby and came right over when we had a few questions about the house - they could not be kinder. The photos truly do not do the house justice! We could not rave enough about our experience! The house is on a quiet street, with a lush, tropical forest surrounding it. We brought our bikes, and were pleased that we could just hop right on the bike path and be at the beach in a minute. The grand master bathroom is amazing, and all of the rooms were perfectly decorated. The house really has three beautiful master bedrooms - each with a bathroom (two kings and one queen bed), and the room with two twins was just as lovely. We had four adults and two kids with us and had PLENTY of room. We will be back. Thank you!!!

We spent a delightful week on Hilton Head in Heritage Woods. This was a very nice property within easy walking distance to the beautiful beach. The photos show the very attractive spacious house as comfortable as it is and the pool is great. The towels are plentiful and thick and the bed linens and beds are super for a rental. A good nights sleep is extremely important and good mattresses matter to us. The kitchen is very well equiped which is important to me. We like to eat in and I like to cook. This location is a perfect balance between the grocery store in town and our favorite Sea Pines sites like Harbour Town and The Salty Dog. The restuarants we tried were excellent. Hanoki (wonderful sushi) Charlies (french) and The French Bakery at which EVERYTHING is to DIE for. Forget the diet if you like to eat. The owners were available and friendly without being intrusive. We have booked our week for next year!!

Eight of us enjoyed a long weekend of tennis, swimming, walking, biking, the beach and of course this beautiful home which provided any and all the comforts we could ask for. The owners are super people who went out of their way to insure our stay was pleasurable and memorable. Many thanks to them. As for the home, it is like a new home (fresh and clean), modern and spacious. The pool and cabana area was our favorite relax area. The location is very good. Just a few minutes from the beach, tennis courts and golf courses. Restaurants, shops and stores are only a short ride away. I highly recommend this home.
