Estes Park house description
2014 WINTER SPECIAL!! STARTING JAN.2ND - MAY 1ST....STAY 2 OR MORE NIGHTS AND GET ONE NIGHT FREE!!!!!
Rock Bottom Retreat
This Cabin is very private and sets on an acre with rock outcroppings and great views of the Mummy Range, which is part of the Continental Divide. It has a covered porch so you can BBQ in any kind of weather. Along with that it has an outdoor Fire Pit (you supply your own firewood) so you can have the feeling of camping without the uncomfortable tent. Also after those long hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park you can come back and relax in the private outdoor hot tub.
If that is not enough it is pet friendly with a covered dog run attached to the adorable barnwood shed, so no need to leave your furry little friend behind.
Inside is very cozy with and electric fire place for those cold winter nights and plenty of room to sleep 4 comfortably.
It is about 2 miles to downtown Estes Park and about 1.5 miles to the south entrance to RMNP.
You will need an all wheel drive or 4X4 to get to the cabin during the months of Oct thru April. Roads are maintained and plowed put if there is snow or ice on the road a two wheel drive vehicle will have a hard time getting to the cabin. In the summer months any type of vehicle will make it to the cabin with no problem as the road is in perfect condition.
The property has a large area for parking a travel trailer or RV.
This cabin is to be enjoyed year round.

After reading good reviews my wife and I looked forward to staying 5 nights. The location was excellent, quiet yet close to town. There were adequate amenities provided. However, I was surprised to see it was a pre-fab structure, similar to a trailer, and it was not as clean as we expected. In the living room, the brown upholstered sofa and chair (not the one in the vrbo photos) are heavily soiled on the arms and seats (obviously due to heavy use) and need to be replaced. More attention needs to be given to overall cleaning. Surface tops were clean, yet the insides of drawers were not - for example, food spills and stains in the drawer next to the food flatware tray - also, there was debris in the bottom of the cabinet below and around the trash basket.

Manager response: I am very disappointed in this review. The rains started and never let up so this is why I think these guests were unhappy not because of the cabin. It is a pre fab structure (so what) This cabin has never had a bad review for cleaning and the same person cleans it every time so I would ignore this review and look at all the others. They were stuck in the cabin due to rain so how do we not know that they didn't cause the things they mentioned. They did stay for a few days?? Thank you for listening..

Lovely house with all the amenities we needed. Perfect distance between town and National Park. We were able to avoid the crowds in town on a holiday weekend, but still just a sort drive to get there when we wanted. The pictures on the website do not do this place justice. It was so clean, comfortable, and perfect for two couples and two dogs. I would look to stay here again when we return. Thank you!!!

We had a great time. We enjoyed sitting outside by the campfire and looking at the stars at night. We loved our daily visitors of elk and the hummingbirds. The place was peaceful and quite and a great location. Our boys enjoyed playing putt putt golf at Mitchell a great bargain and donuts from Donut Haus. Thanks for sharing your home!

Very underrated, and we found it to be cozy and wonderful with a nice hot tub and fire pit hang out area. It's great to have a fully stocked kitchen, we enjoyed cooking on the grill.

We really enjoyed our stay at this relaxing mountain getaway. It was clean, cozy and pretty private. Our dog loved her vacation and we loved having her with us (there are a lot of dog-friendly hikes near Estes). The hot tub was great. We saw a coyote and deer in the driveway. We would definitely go back.

Just stayed here for 3 nights and what a find! The pics don't do it justice at all. The cabin is quiet and yet close to town, private and yet has everything you would need...and more! Very comfortable and clean, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views or soak in the hot tub. My dogs loved it too and I think that this company is so easy to work with and I just love that they are pet friendly and I will continue to use their immaculate and well priced properties while I have my furry friends traveling with me.

My fiancee and I stayed here overnight with another couple and were delighted at this rustic spot. The pictures don't do it any justice! The place was spotless, not a speck of dust anywhere. It was immaculate for a place that has dogs stay there. Everything we needed was provided. The views are spectacular!! It was very warm and cozy with plenty of room. It is a great price, awsome deal!! I will definitely stay here ahain!

Perfect Mountain Retreat
Perfect Mountain Retreat
My boyfriend and I rented this cabin for the first weekend in October and it was the ideal spot for us city slickers to escape. The kitchen was fully equipped and was great for cooking meals, and since the floor plan is very open you don't feel isolated when you are cooking and others are watching tv or reading at the dining room table. The hot tub was so perfect, especially because we caught a bit of a cold spell while we were there and definitely needed it to warm our bones after horseback riding in the mountains. The location is exceptional, five minutes max from both the entrance to RMNP and to downtown, although there were restaurants and such even closer. However, it still felt rustic and fairly private. We saw lots of bunnies at the cabin, but no large game or bears, although the guest book retold many sightings of both elk and bears in the recent past so I guess we just got unlucky. Wish we were able to bring our dog, but since we flew in from California it didn't seem very practical. Would love to come back again someday, and would recommend to others. Estes Park as a town is adorable, and the perfect location to do some souvenir shopping (my favorite was Alpenglow Images and Accents, beautiful local photography fitting a variety of price ranges!), and it also holds some interesting history (don't miss the Stanley Hotel for a tour!). Good sweets shops too! Overall an incredible trip with only fond memories!!

Great Place to Relax
Great Place to Relax
The best part about this property is the location and the large private acreage, Not many rentals have the privacy of this location. It's convenient to town and has a great view. We saw deer almost daily on the road the cabin. The cabin was well kept with all the expected amenities. The wi-fi was fast, and cable had a good selection of channels. The dog run was very sturdy and worked great. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking, At night the stars were bright and beatiful. We watched the meteor shower while sitting in the hot tub. We had a great time and highly recommend this cabin. We look forward to staying here again.
