A nice respite from busy, bustling San Francisco. The city proper can be a true workout, but, isn't that the reason we all go to the city by the bay? Try finding a more restful and quiet refuge from the days activities, let us save you the effort, you won't.Very well appointed guest suite, bigger than a hotel room, plenty of room for 2 or 3, but, not too large. Floor to ceiling windows provide a panoramic scene of Mill Valley you won't find in your standard hotel. Not even close! By car you can drive to the Golden Gate bridge in less than 10 minutes. Sausalito is only 5 minutes away. We'll definitely stay here again. A special thanks to the owners for their accommodating and agreeable good will! We had a great time!! Hi to Piper!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have enjoyed staying here on two occasions. It is in a fine location for exploring the Bay Area and wine country. It is a unique property location on the side of a hill with an impressive view. The owners live on site and are extremely friendly and helpful. It is clean and well maintained. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom has a wonderful shower. We will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The suite is light, open and modern, with a gorgeous outlook from its quiet garden setting. The furniture and bed is of a high standard and extremely comfortable and we were able to prepare delicious meals from the compact and spotless kitchen. Our host was both welcoming and flexible and also provided plenty of useful local information. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were able to walk everywhere from the suite - even to Muir Woods!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I spent a week in this unit while house-hunting in Marin County. It is well-located with easy access to the highway and to the town center of Mill Valley. Muir Woods is just a few minutes away. The bed was comfortable; the kitchen adequate for quick breakfasts, lunches, or light suppers that could be prepared in the microwave; the bathroom was GREAT with a wonderful steam shower; the setting was quiet and serene, and Mark was most helpful in providing information on the area. Would recommend this as a great alternative to a hotel stayRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hi JoAnne, thank you for your nice comments. I am glad you had a good time and I was very happy to be of help.

Perfect getaway for excursions to S.F., the wine country, the coast, and the redwoods. The place is much larger than expected, parking was good. Access is limited to owner and renter. Rooms are behind a locked gate. Only two negatives, and they are negatives only if you are really picky. The apartment is located under the garage, so vehicles coming and going (A rare occasion) are heard. and the wonderful shower is limited in hot water supply, so no endless showers. Other than that, the owners are very nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: All other guests have given us 5 stars. As an eco freindly establishment steam shower was / is not designed for 'endless showers'. A comparable hotel suite in mill valley would cost you triple our rate with no ambiance or privacy. Bottom line our suite is an unique experience that cannot be portrayed via pictures.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely property for 2 nights. We didn't want to leave! The place was even more beautiful than in the pictures. All amenities / equipments were new and functioned well. We especially loved the bathroom and the balcony. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was compact yet functional. Great view. Very private. The location was convenient, just to few minutes to the highway. We were able to visit many places (shopping malls, Napa valley, Muir wood, Sausalito, and even Coit Tower) and still enjoy a great quiet time in the property.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I'm a frequent visitor to SF who always tries to stay in the Mill Valley area when there, and this guest suite is my favorite of all the places I've stayed at. It's well kept and very clean, and is just a few minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, making it perfect for exploring and experiencing the chaos of SF, yet allowing you to easily escape back to a slower paced world for sleeping and use as your "base". The available off-street parking is way better than a lot of other Mill Valley rentals, due to this particular section of street not having quite as many homes packed in on it (thus less cars parked on the street as competition); and if you happen to, like me, ride motorcycle, then there's a perfect little spot to park your ride in the driveway (and best of all, you don't have to worry about theft or vandalism to your bike - both all too frequent of occurrences in SF proper). The owner of the unit is quite friendly and helpful and knows the area very well, all big pluses of course. And it's also really nice to have a late-model washer/dryer at your disposal, as this unit does. Finally, I can't write a review of this unit without mentioning the cool steam shower - simply one of the best ever. In short, I won't think twice about where to stay for my next trip to the SF area, I'll be inquiring about the availability of this place first...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This place was excellent for a nice relaxing weekend stay. The location was great 15 minutes to Fishermans Warf and down town San Fran and some beaches. The owners where very helpful with directions and recomended attractions to go see. The suite was very bright and clean and the deck was great to relax on after a long day. Nice bed very comfy. The only thing missing was a hot plate in the kitchen. We would highly recommend this to other couples.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
