Newly decorated condo (townhouse style, two bedrooms and bath, living room, kitchen, eating area, and half bath) with pool on condominium grounds. Short walk to the great white sand beaches of the Gulf. For the family, there are amusement parks, miniature golf, and the zoo. For the shopper, there is the Foley outlet mall and numerous antique shops.
Everyone has to eat and the Gulf Shores area has some of the best food in the south. After you eat, there are the nightlife opportunities (most with-in walking distance): the Pink Pony Pub, Hooters, Papa Rocco's, Mudbugs, etc. If you are into sports and outdoor activities, the Gulf Shores area is your destination. There are many outstanding golf courses and many tennis courts.
For those who want to participate in water related activities (in addition, of course to swimming in either the pool or the gulf itself), there is scuba diving, pier/beach fishing, deep sea fishing, and para-sailing.

We had a very nice stay at the Sand Dollar, and it met our needs well. The condo is clean and the perfect size for 4-5 people. All was in working order. The owner was very kind and always available, if necessary. We enjoyed the pool facility and the short walk to the beach. It is in a good location and the advertisement on the condo is completely accurate. We would be happy to visit it again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Just wanted to say this place is just as the pics describe. We went here for the World Series and Beach Vacation. It sure helped our expenses with it having a full kitchen and washer and dryer! Very Close to anything you want to do. We went to Beach, Waterpark. Putt Putt Golf, Shopping, Parasailing etc..The pool is also very nice(It was cleaned every day that we was there.) This was just a great trip all around. I would definately go back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We enjoyed our week long stay at the Sand Dollar condo. It was just a short walk across the street to the beach access. The sand, beach and water were wonderful! I would recommend this unit if you're looking for a budget friendly rental in Gulf Shores! The condo met all our needs! We had our breakfasts and lunches at the condo and only cooked a few dinners in. It was nice to have all the necessary kitchen utensils, just like home! It was especially great having the washer/dryer combo in the unit. We were able to wash clothes and head home with all clean clothes. The beds were typical rental unit beds. Not the most comfortable in the world, but after all day at the beach , we were too worn out to care. There were TVs in the unit but we never turned them on. What a great way to disconnect! The owner was a pleasure to deal with. He promptly answered all my questions and checked with me after we checked in to make certain everything was in order. Don't miss out on the nightlife at The Hangout. It's a family friendly party atmosphere. We only had adult beverages there but shied away from eating a meal , going by less than stellar reviews. Make certain you get a meal in at Lambert's in Foley. Home of the throwed rolls! Be prepared for a loooong wait if you get there after 5pm.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This was my family's first visit to Alabama and we were so excited. So excited, we couldn't get inside, but no fault of the owner. Just got a little confused with the directions but he was happy to come over and help us out. Normally I don't bring cleaning supplies but I am glad I did. The bathroom and floors needed some tlc but once I scrubbed the tub it was okay. Also, around the fourth day, we had little visitors and we couldn't put anything on the counters. But the kids loved the pool and location. The people were very friendly and down to earth. And I left my shoes in the closet but the owner mailed them to me. I know my husband really appreciated that. Overall, the beach, people, and local attractions were very nice. We will be back.Recommended for: Pet owners.

My wife and I recently visited Gulf Shores. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and will return soon. The condo was very nice with a few minor flaws. We were disappointed with cleanliness overall. While it was generally clean it could have used some TLC. Throwvrugs were dirty so we washed them. Lites were out in half bath, replased them. Shower curtain torn so we replaced that as well. Ceilong around heating/cooling registers is dirty and needs swept, maybe painted. Ceiling fan blades need cleaned! It just looked as if the owner needs to hire or snuff up the house cleaner. We loeved the size of the condo. The bedrooms upstairs were very roomie. Living room and both bedrooms had a ceiling fan, which we greatly appreciated. Appliances were good, utensils were sufficient, linens were ample. Overall we would recommend staying here. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay and a fun relaxing week!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Me and my family had a nice time in this condo in Gulf Shores. It was just like the website said it was. We will be back next time and hopefully thus condo will be available. It is located close to everything . This condo was very nice. It had everything we needed and was within walking distance to the beach. It had a washer/dryer so it was easier to pack knowing we could do laundry and not have to pack a lot of clothes. It was a quite area and when we wanted to just hang by the pool we could do that as well as the beach. I was very happy with our experience and would like to refer this condo to other families. The owner of the condo was very nice and very helpful. I would do business with him again in the future.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family spent a week in this well maintained condo. It was clean and has a great location. We had a problem with the A/C but within 30 minutes after calling, a repairman came and fixed it very promptly and it worked great the rest of the time. This was our second stay at the Sand Dollar. We will try to come again. It is a very quiet place and a great place for a family to stay. The description of the condo was very accurate, and the short walk to the beach was just across the street. The washer/dryer sure came in handy.Bedrooms were upstairs which was great for people who wanted to watch tv late downstairs. Each bedroom each had a tv, nice spacious closets, a ceiling fan in each bedroom and one had a balcony. Several nice attractions are very close, like Waterville, and was a big hit with the warm weather. My family and I were suppose to go to South Padre Island Texas but Dolly changed all that. We made the reservation on very short notice. The owner was cooperative and very thoughtful about our last minute plans. The condo is just as it appears in the pictures. It is a 3 minute walk to the beach and a short walk to shops and restaurants. Suggest the Hangout for family friendly nightly music, food, and fun. Pensacola is a 30 minute drive. Enjoy a day there.Recommended for: Families with young children.

My family which consist of a husband and daughter experienced this stay at the Sanddollar in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We only stayed three nights but the time we did stay was very noisy up until around 12:30 when the pool was supposed to have been closed around 10:30. Other than the noise it was hot when we arrived in the room. The refrigerator was off and we had to keep our drinks in the cooler we brought. I don't think we would go back there again to stay.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+.
