This was our second year staying at this rental. We cannot say enough about the house. Its an amazing location with the beach being so close and also on a private road. The new bedroom furniture was an added plus. It was very comfortable with plenty of room for our extended family that we had staying with us. We are looking forward to renting this same house again next year!

The house had such a warm and comfortable feeling. The decor is very tasteful and the furniture if as comfortable as it is beautiful.You could tell everything was new and taken well care of. We felt right at home. The view from the top deck is beautiful especially at sunset. This was our first visit to Long Beach Island and we were not disappointed. The beach is only a short walk. We usually don't go to the same place twice but the house was so inviting we are renting again next summer. We talked so highly of the house that my daughter and her husband want to come with us next year. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

I have been traveling to LBI with my family every summer for the past few years and this was by far our favorite rental home! It is in a wonderful location. The beach is just a few steps away, the house feels very private, yet you are within walking distance to shops and restaurants. In addition the house is beautifully decorated. All the bedrooms have new furniture, the walls are freshly painted, and we loved the artwork throughout the house. The two decks are perfect for lounging and dining! We had a few rainy nights during our stay, but the dining room and living room were perfectly comfortable for us all to hang out. In fact, we had just about a 360 degree view of two lightening storms which was pretty cool! The house was very roomy, and having TV's in all the bedrooms pleased everyone in my group. The owners were very helpful and answered the many questions I had before, and after, booking the house. I would highly recommend this home. I hope to return with my family next summer!

most enjoyable vacation week

we stayed at this location for a week in august 2010. It was the most enjoyable! Plenty of room for all the family that came. The view was spectacular from the large outdoor decks where you could see both the ocean and bay. There was a large outside eating area where we spent a lot of time. A great quiet block and it is two houses away from a private beach. Looking forward to this year at the same rental. This will be the first time renting at the same house since vacating at LBI over the past 20 years.

Great location, great house

This was a great house to rent. We have been going to LBI for 10 years and this house certainly met our needs. It is in a great location, near a life guard on the beach and close to shopping. We did have the issue the prior renters had with the air conditioner but we immediately contacted the owner to let her know. Within an hour, she had a repair man there. The unit could not be fixed so she purchased two large window units and had them installed. They kept the place cool. We are renting this house again for a week this summer. We know that if anything were to go wrong, there wouldn't be a problem.

Disappointed

There is no air conditioning on the top floor where the living room, dining room & kitchen are located. There is a unit on the wall that is not an actual air conditioner and if they replaced it with one, it would not be sufficient enough to cool the large space. Since this is the central gethering space, it is most uncomfortable to hang out there in 90+ degree heat. I could certainly recommend the house any time other than during the summer heat. One of the bedrooms needs to have the king futon replaced with a bed for more comfortable sleeping. The rest of the house if perfect for a beach rental and the proximity to the beach is great.

Owner response:We, the owners, were not informed by the tenants that the air-conditioning was malfunctioning until after their stay had ended. We immediately replaced and upgraded two air-conditioners. The rooms mentioned are certainly cool enough for any summer stay. Had we been informed of the problem at the time of the tenants' visit, it would have been rectified immediately. Every renter is left contact information for immediate remedy of any complaint. All other tenants were more than satisifed with this extraordinary vacation rental.

It was even better than expected--comfortable & well equipped. A place for all to be together or time apart with a choice of decks. Our own private beach & quiet area was enjoyed. Most were content to stay close, but some went to nice shops nearby while others went to the water park. We would definitely rent again.

Great week at the Jersey Shore!

House was very comfortable for enjoying a week at the shore, had everything you would need. Nicely furnished and very clean. We liked the TV's, full cable package and internet access, very important with teenage children! Short walk to the beach and a quick run for groceries. Reverse living design allows great views from the open living/dining room/ktichen area and the top deck offers great views of the ocean and bay. Owner was very easy to work with and responsive to our questions.

This house is truly wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about it, it has it all, including all the amenities of home. It’s very SPACIOUS, TV’s in all bedrooms, which is SO important to our family, reclining chairs. Outside balcony with tables and weber grill. Rooftop deck with lounge chairs for sunning. An amazing location and views of both the ocean and bay. Kid’s can safely walk to the beautiful beach without any streets to cross. And, the owners are a delight to do business with. Don’t hesitate to reserve this house, you won’t be disappointed.

The day was beautiful and warm but nothing could compare to the sense of tranquility I felt in the home and on the decks. The walk to the beach was short but delightful. Both the property and the beachfront are beyond description!!!! What a lovely place!
