We enjoyed your home very much, but missed meeting you and your husband. Our son and his wife met Charles at the house – they arrived before we did. The home was very accessible for my husband and his power wheelchair which made it very easy for me. We had two ramps which we brought with us – one was used at the front door and the other to access the sunroom. His wheelchair has been an obstacle in renting homes in the past. Plus, our dog, Katie, enjoyed being included in our vacation plans. I’m sure we will be back and hope to meet you both next time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

We spent two weeks in this house, and experienced the most relaxing vacation we've ever had. The house is fantastic, it had everything we could possibly need. It was exactly as it is represented on the web page, extremely clean and very tastefully decorated. The owner was very helpful in getting us familiar with everything, and was willing to help us in any way. The neighborhood was extremely quiet, and the prime beach areas are within easy walking/biking distance. Being able to have our dogs there was a great plus, the dogs had a wonderful time playing frisbee on the beach. When you get tired of the beach (which we never really did), there is lots to do and see in St. Augustine. Since we live in the Jacksonville area, we were able to invite some friends down for a beach/cookout/hot tub party, which was a highlight of our stay. We would gladly recommend staying here to anyone. In fact, I'm guessing we will be back ourselves. Thanks for one of the best vacations we've ever had.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thank you Amber and Charles for the wonderful stay at your home. Sorry it took so long to write a review we have had a busy summer but we wanted others to know that your place was so WONDERFUL. My husband and I stayed here with our 2 adult children (27 and 25) and all agreed it was perfect. The house has a relaxing flare but very cosmopolitan in appearance. The pictures on the wesite don't show the warmth and serenity you receive while there. The peace and quiet of the neighborhood but friendly neighbors that waved or talked while biking which was provided was very inviting. The huge individual rooms made us feel at home and not cramped. We had so much fun cooking in your superb kitchen which is my favorite place in the house and the kids loved the grill which the grilled steaks and black drum fish the guys got while sea fishing. We loved the winery Charles family owns and recommend that as a tour while in St Augustine and take some wine home with you. Amber was super quick to respond to any need or assistance and is like a breath of fresh air when talking to her. If she does not have an immediate answer to a question she works on it until a resolution is favorable to all. We did not want to leave as it was like a haven but we thank you and Charles again for providing it for us. I highly recommend this home for any type of get away you will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

I spent a week in this home with my husband, his parents, and my small dog. It was perfect. The backyard with the lake and waterfeature is the perfect place to relax and grill in the evenings. The beds are comfortable, the home is beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable, and well stocked with the essentials. Amber and Charles are very gracious hosts, they responded immediately to any questions or needs, and gave great advise on restaurants and entertainment. It is conveniently located a short drive to downtown and a nice walk or short drive to the beach. I would highly recommend staying here; you will love the florida room and the lake with all its wildlife (we saw water turkeys, ducks and an otter). It's a very quiet, pretty neighborhood. One member of our party is disabled and the house was perfect for her.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

We had a great experience at this house. If you like to cook, the kitchen was great! Quiet, nice setting, great set up in the house. Close to the YMCA and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The weather didn't cooperate, but we really enjoyed ourselves. We'd go back there in a minute!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a fantastic rental. First of all Amber and Charles are super to work with, the costs are up front and exact. The home is immaculate and staged like a high-end resort. All the accompaniments, linens and towels, kitchenware and appliances are top notch and in excellent shape. Many of your spices, toiletries, paper products and cleaning aids are there to start you out. There are two big screen TV's along with hundreds of channels to enjoy. Bring your laptop their hookups work really well. The sunroom, complete with furnishings and hot tub, is wonderful, as is the outside patio and garden. The home is a nice walk to the ocean, the neighborhood and neighbors are great and you're close to all attractions. The garage for your vehicle is a nice addition. This is an ideal place to spend your time at in St. Augustine. We appreciate Amber and Charles for sharing this home with us . We're looking forward to spending another month, real soon. June of 2010 we stayed at Charles & Amber's beautiful home and it was very comfortable and our home-away-from-home for 10 days, we really enjoyed ourselves, Charles & Amber are good people! The rooms are elegant and inviting with a very relaxing feel to them. The home is a Perfect vacation home and close to everything, everything you need is at your finger tips. We love to cook and are real foodies, the kitchen is beautiful and a great set up! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking with family & friends. The kitchen is open to the family room and dining area making it perfect for entertaining. The open Florida Room with huge hot tub was a plus! The backyard has a one-of-a-kind tranquil setting, a "Secret Garden" for sure. We enjoyed barbecuing and outdoor seating was comfortable. We loved watching all the wild life out by the lake, we saw turtles, jumping fish, ducks, red birds, blue heron, hawks, squirrel, and there is a owl that hoots at night. It's close enough to the beach and downtown St. Augustine but still tucked away in a oak tree lined area of St. Augustine, we rode our bikes and walked to a lot of fun places close by. Fun places we went to and that we recommend are 'Beach Combers' for their fish taco's, another fun lunch spot with good food was 'Alcazar' where you eat in the Deep End of the World's Largest Indoor Pool, and 'Osteens' has the BEST lightly fried shrimp in the world! Must tour the Winery, Flagler College and take the Trolley Tour, Thanks Amber! All-in-all this summer vacation was a FANTASTIC trip and we really enjoyed staying in Charles & Amber's St. Augustine home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

First of all I have say I am a very picky person and I’m usually not impressed by others cleanliness, however I have to give this place props, it was defiantly up to par. I also appreciated the organization of the house. It made it feel like home. The little things counted for me… like a note pad, tp, bar of soap, bathrobe, extra vacuum bags, a tool box, cleaning products, flash light, nice décor, these are the type of things that would be found in my home and I found here. The house was very well stocked. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in places from $10-5,000 per night and had yet to experience the hospitality I experienced with Amber and Charles. They both went above and beyond to help us get acquainted. They truly made every effort to make there house feel like a true home away from home. We enjoyed the coolness of the lake and large oaks in the back yard as well as all the wildlife. We even saw a turtle laying her eggs in the back yard. The boys liked fishing off the little dock, even thought they didn’t catch anything it was fun. The hot tub was a real treat for the boys after a long day of surfing. I enjoyed taking bike rides to the beach before everyone was up and heading out to work. It felt so nice to see all the runners, walkers and surfers of all ages heading out for fresh air and exercise. The house is in a great location, walk to the YMCA in a few minutes. Several restaurants just a 20 min walk or 2 minute drive and there are lots of major departments stores within a 5-10 minute drive as well. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice home away from home. I know my family will be back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

We recently made our vacation plans and wanted to stay in something spectacular other than a hotel. We found the perfect place. The home is spacious, private and perfect for large families, or a cozy couples retreat. We really loved the lakefront seclusion - and the hot tub was such a great bonus. The house is very well equipped with a TV in each room, modern amenities and all the rooms were spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed being away from the crowds. Each morning we took our coffee and walked to the beach which took about 5 minutes, it's also just a short drive to nice restaurants, our favorite is 'La Cocina' on the beach. For anyone visiting the lovely city of St. Augustine, if you are looking for excellent value and quality, I would highly recommend staying at this home on Lakeshore Drive, in fact we have already booked this home for another 2 week vacation next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
