Camden bungalow description
The bungalow is a colorful beach like cottage that is bright, cheery and comfortably furnished, located on a quiet side street in a very friendly neighborhood with similar architecture. The cottage is a vintage Sears Roebuck bungalow built back in the 1930's with original features intact with an updated kitchen and conveniences to make your stay comfortable and easy. A porch in the front of the house provides additional living space for reading a book, playing games or just relaxing. The newly added back deck provides a wonderful space for entertaining, grilling or just enjoying quiet early morning coffee, afternoon gatherings, and evening sunsets.
The neighborhood is located within an easy walk (2 1/2 blocks) to downtown shops, restaurants, harbor, library, grocery store, post office, beach, village green, and much more. The village neighborhood area is a great place to walk and/or bike. A YMCA is located just several blocks from the house. There are numerous areas to hike and lakes and the ocean are very close by. Activities for both adults and children are also close by.
Come and enjoy a village setting, get to know the neighborhood if you want, and enjoy the summer events throughout the mid-coast area.

Delightful stay in the perfect location!
Delightful stay in the perfect location!
We spent a week at this wonderful bungalow at the end of August. The location is ideal, on a quiet street of colorful bungalows, just a 10 minute walk to downtown Camden, with all its great restaurants, bookstores, and shops. The house contained everything we needed for a relaxing week, including a fully-outfitted kitchen, extra beach towels, maps and brochures, board games for the kids, and cozy chairs on the enclosed porch for quiet reading. We recommend renting bikes at Midcoast Adventures (just down the street), and asking the nice lady there for tips on a good route. The smoothie truck parked in the lot is also great! The house was very comfortable and the owners were great. Camden is also a great central spot for exploring other towns nearby. Check out the Cellardoor Winery in Lincolnville, Pemquid Point Lighthouse, the ropes course in Wiscasset and much more.

Five of us stayed at this Camden cottage during a really hot week in July. The cottage is very airy, though, with the screened windows providing a nice air flow downstairs, and there lots of fans to help upstairs. This cottage is just lovely, with nice amenities, easy walking to all the charms of Camden( and towns don't get much more charming). I especially recommend the river swimming a short drive away at Shirttail Point, which felt great on hot days. I hope to return to this place.

We had a great stay at the Bungalow, and would definitely consider returning. The house is small but has plenty of room. Very clean! The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you might need, the house is totally organized and neat. We felt very much at home. Conveniently located, walk to town for restaurants, coffee, shopping, etc. There are a lot of great outdoor activities in and around Camden. Loved it!

Camden Get Away!
Camden Get Away!
Perfect! The Camden cottage was perfect! We spent a week w/ our Aussie at this lovely location, with it's beautiful private deck and quaint front porch in a cozy neighborhood only a few blocks from lovely downtown Camden. Everything about the property was perfect. It was well kept, extremely clean, the kitchen was stocked with everything imaginable a family might need if one wished to prepare food. There was a nice gas grill tucked away conveniently located right off the deck. The yard was neat w/ brilliantly-colored spring flowers in full bloom and mature trees provided refreshing shade. There was even a tie out so the dog could run safely. The decor, from the beach treasures on the window sills, vases of fresh cut flowers, a fireplace to a comfy couch, made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The bedrooms and the only bathroom were upstairs and fans were provided to allow for good air circulation. This might be a consideration for those who have difficulty navigating stairs, though the wide stairway was well constructed w/ a sturdy bannister, and the steps were not steep. Camden is a lovely town sitting on one of the nicest harbors I've experienced in all my travels. The town is filled w/ interesting shops and great places to eat, many family oriented and reasonably priced. The Mariner had hearty breakfasts, Cappy's had great food, recommend their salad for sure, but everything was good, including the full lobster dinner. Dining upstairs was family oriented and down in the bar for a cozy adult environment. Fresh, which was more upscale had great Sweet potato crust pot pie, good wine and wonderful bread. Camden is located midcoast; Acadia & Bar Harbor is an easy drive and one should definitely explore Rockport & Belfast. The museum on the main drag in Rockland also has an extensive collection of the Wyeth family's works. We love Camden! The cottage was everything promised and it's owners were extremely helpful and responsive to our every need! It was chucked full of reading material about the surrounding area and a beautiful welcoming gift greeted us when we walked in the door! I would definitely recommend this property and hope to return one day!
