Stunning 180° View Over Paris - Elevator – Montmartre

This 1 bedroom (600 sq feet, 4 guests, 6th floor &elevator) apartment is located rue Maurice Utrillo, right on the side of the Sacre Coeur church above its gardens. Maurice Utrillo was “the” painter of Montmartre. He painted most of the famous spots you will stroll around. The apartment is on the 6th floor (US standard) of a top quality stone and brick building, offering an elevator. Although not luxury, this apt is of good standard.
• The living room opens its 2 large bay windows over Paris and the sky. Impressive. The view is flying in the sky. Decoration is nice with a small Knoll table and chairs, a large flat TV screen and antic lights. The sofa is a comfortable convertible and may turn in a real bed for 2 adults.
• The bedroom is calm and delicately decorated. Bed is queen size. It also has a view over Paris, in a different direction. Its wardrobe is large and convenient.
• The kitchen, fully equipped, is an original part of the apt. The red color chosen for decoration gives a lot of energy to the small but convenient space.
• The bathroom is a real piece of art. A large shower tub, decorated with carved tiles is in perfect harmony with the sink and mirror.
• Last but not least, the balcony of the flat has a wonderful view. It is furnished with small table and 2 chairs. You may have a glass of wine or a diner.
To be noted, access to the building is done getting down or up stairs depending from where one comes, the equivalent of 2 floors. No car access is possible to the building door.
This location is a perfect base to visit Paris. It stays 15 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.
Last point, we are staying 1 block away. We are here if you need help.

We loved our stay in this apartment. Fantastic lounge (we loved the decor) with the most comfortable sofa bed and a breathtaking view. Cutest red well equipped kitchen, elegant simple bathroom, all worked fine. You do need to be fit though, as the apartment is half way down a steep stepped street. Location great, especially once we discovered the local Carre-four supermarket down the road. Thanks Jean-Noel for all your help.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My husband and I spent a week here. It's in a great location, full of interesting shops, resto, sights. The apartment itself was good value for that part of town. Travellers should be aware that the street is made up of a long staircase, 80 steps from the top and 60 from the bottom, so challenging if you have a lot of luggage. The apartment is shabby-chic (needs painting) but has all you need. It does have a few minor inconveniences, like no towel bars, no throw cushions to give the place more warmth and comfort, a toilet that is too far off the floor, a tiny kitchen that only one person fits into and having to go several blocks and climb lots of stairs just to get and return the key. The best thing about the apartment is the view, which was wonderful and watching the lights come on at dusk made all the other things fade by comparison.Recommended for: Tourists without a car.

Thank you, Jean-Noel for such a lovely stay in your apartment. I have rented several other apartments in Paris as I come every year, and none have been as comfortable or as convenient as yours. The high ceilings make the place look even bigger, the kitchen was fully stocked. I was there with a friend for a week, and we were able to get anywhere in Paris very easily by metro. Will definitely plan on renting from you again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had 3 wonderful weeks in this perfect location to further explore and enjoy all of Paris. Take you choice to sleep in and enjoy the view from the apartment and it balcony or a short step down to the local cafe's and surroundings. With 2 local metro lines to choice or simple walk to your heart's and legs content. The apartment has all and more we needed. A well maintained place, with all the essentials for the non-hotel style vacation. It own well fittted and equiped kitcken, a clothes washing machine and iron, so no need to waste time laundomat hunting. A glass of wine and cheeseboard on you very own balcony overlooking the Mont's gardens and high up over Paris Hushhhhhh ....Be quiet ... don't tell too many people about this wondeful secret little hide awayRecommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment was beyond lovely for our honeymoon. The apartment was comfortable, and our interactions with the property managers were professional and friendly. We had terrible (TERRIBLE!) weather in Paris, and the apartment gave us a cozy home and view of Paris despite the rain. We've visited Paris many times over the years, and the balcony was a unique perspective on the city. The neighbors are friendly, and the building is safe and secure. We had our security deposit returned within 48 hours of vacating the apartment. It was great to have free internet, free long distance to the US, and a well-equipped kitchen. We would return to this property in a heartbeat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My fiance and I stayed here for a week during our visit to Paris. It turned out to be everything we had hoped for and more. What an adorable apartment with lots of amenities. It would comfortably fit 4 people but with just the two of us we had the luxury of using both the bedroom and the convertible couch bed to relax in the living room and enjoy the view. The balcony is fantastic. We didn't get to use it much because unfortunately the weather was not ideal during our stay but when it was sunny out, it was gorgeous. The kitchen came fully equipped and I was pleasantly surprised to find there was an espresso machine that I used quite a bit. This apartment will have a special place in our hearts -- we got engaged on the balcony. Great place! You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

It was a pleasure to stay in such convenient location and comfortable apartment. Our stay has been excellent and we were very pleased with the wonderful view & balcony. The 2 or 3 building residents we've met have been very friendly too. We've had no problems or difficulties with anything, the neighborhood is great and we’ve spent great time in Paris. We very much anticipate that we'll come back there for some days a year from now. It is such a nice place to stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We really enjoyed the apartment. It was in a great location and the view was amazing! We're already planning a trip for the summer next year so we can take advantage of the lovely balcony. This was the first time we've rented an apartment while traveling and it is so much better than a hotel. The whole process was really easy and I appreciated Jean-Noel responsiveness (and patience) to all of my questions. The photos were a perfect representation of the apartment and we were thrilled with the place. It was comfortable, everything was in good condition, the check in/check out was easy, and our deposit was refunded very quickly. We really appreciated having wireless access. It made some of our planning much easier. The bed was comfortable, shower was great (plenty of hot water and good water pressure). We didn't really cook, too many restaurants to try... but we did buy food to have breakfast and snacks at the apartments, so it was nice to have the kitchen and refrigerator. We actually took the train and the metro to and from the airport and it was pretty simple. The apartment was so convenient to the Metro and was really easy to get around the city. There were a lot of restaurants/bars in the neighborhood, all within easy walking distance. Montmartre had a great energy and we were very happy staying in that part of the city. There is a walking tour around the neighborhood that we'll have to check out next time. We had a great trip and the days went all too quickly. Hope to be back in Paris sometime soon! What a great trip! It all started out pretty bad when my travel partner got nixed by the French embassy and I had to fly to Paris on my own for a few days. At first, i was a big concerned, but it all worked out as soon as I set foot in the apt... Annabelle greeted me(although our language barrier made it a bit more difficult) and set me up with everything I needed. I was few hours early due to my flight, but they were glad to help me out and let me get in early. Jean even came by one day to help me set up the TV. Outstanding customer service... and more importantly, the place was immaculate. The view was amazing and my friends are now fighting with me as to who's gonna get the place next year. The apt was as nice in person as it was online and it was near everything I needed. The neighborhood was great- reminded me a bit of the west village in NY. I wasn't thrilled with the touristy side of the church, but the neighborhood at the bottom of the stairs and the surrounding area was fabulous. I don't speak a lick of French and fortunately it wasn't a problem. Usually, there was somebody at the local restaurant or news stand or pharmacy that could at least understand me. I spent a great deal of time eating at Cafe Francouer over on Caoulancourt... great food and once again, there's always someone who understood English.. I highly recommend the service and the apt... Smartest thing I ever did. Especially since the other people in my group all got hotels rooms that were half the size and twice the prince... suckers! :) Enjoy your trip!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband, daughter (age 3), and I stayed here for a week in Oct. 2010. The apartment was amazing. It is what I would call shabby chic, but in the best sense. There were neat little surprises like a stocked liquor cabinet, dominoes, binoculars and a bunch of tour books left from previous renters. It really felt like Paris. The kitchen is equipped with all you need and some coffee and tea and spices for cooking. The bed was comfortable and there was ample closet space. The shower is a rain shower and very relaxing. The view on the balcony is gorgeous. I sat for hours just watching the day end with a glass of wine. The area is so amazing...we found the best wine shops and bakeries just a short walk away. Dealing with Jean-Noel was a pleasure. A few days after leaving we received a notice our deposit had been refunded. If you really want an authentic Parisian feeling apartment, this is it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
