Welcome to our condo:
As you enter, there are two home made coat hangers for you to use. Drop your groceries on the kitchen table but don't bring too much: you are welcome to use what is in the pantry: sugar, spaghettis, cans, etc. We hope you like what you see when you look around: the long wooden skis belonged to my father who used them at his favorite place: Portillo. On the wall of the kid's room are our daughter's first skis and on the wall next to the fireplace hangs a picture of St. Anton, bought by my grandmother.
Our son also fell in love with the West and offers his 2nd home on the western slope in Fruita for rent at VRBO 430103
Enjoy the gas fireplace when it is cold or the balcony with an expansive view of the lake, Keystone trails and the Colorado mountains beyond when it is warm. The gas grill is easy to use.
There is a TV in every room. The jetted hot tub in the guest bathroom is great to loosen sore muscles after a day of skiing or hiking.
The building entrance is locked at night and on weekends for your safety. Please remember the combination and register your car at the little station next to the elevator..
Keywords: Cozy, well equipped, newly remodeled, first class furnishings, biking-sailing-hiking-tennis-outdoor swimming pool right there, skiing and all other snowsports 10 min away, bus to all Summit County attractions at street corner.

Thank you for sharing your condo with us! The condo perfectly fit our family of fours's every need and want! The view of the lake and marina were beautiful and we enjoyed hanging on the deck to enjoy the view and cool weather! The king bed in the master bedroom was super comfortable- we have never slept on anything like it! We loved having the fireplace too! We really enjoyed the bike trails and used this daily for our biking and running! The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the evenings after being gone all day! We appreciated the easiness of getting around the town of Dillon, and also the surrounding towns that we toured..all easy to find and get to. We appreciate the ideas of some day activities that the owner,Inge, had given us..and we used these to plan our outings! Thanks again for letting us stay in your condo..you have a very nice place and we would definitely recommend others to stay there..we already miss it after being gone just a day!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you for your great review. We are glad you had such a fun stay and found our condo comfortable and well located. Dillon and the surroundings just has so much to offer, it is a great place for every taste! Please come back!

This condo was perfect! The view from the bedroom and patio are gorgeous. It was very comfortable, very clean, quiet and had everything we needed. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. There are several places to eat and drink very close by. Access to the lake and the path are right outside the building. The condo is in the perfect location and we will definately be staying here again. The owners even checked in with us to be sure we arrived okay and didn't need anything. They let us know that everything in the condo was ours to use and asked us to call them if we needed anything at all. Very welcoming, thank you!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: WOW, thanks for the great review. Please come back!

A comfortable place to stay in a great location. It had the same feeling as second homes of my family and friends which is a good thing. Enjoyed sailing, biking, hiking, sightseeing, swimming, hot mineral baths, and eating. Staying at 9,000 feet helped acclimate to thin air so going above 14,000 feet was more pleasant.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you for your business and also for your positive review. To make our visitors happy turns out to be a win-win situation!!

We stayed in the Condo with a view of the lake and it was great. It was close to all of the activities that we had planned to do i.e. sking, shopping, night life. The condo was very clean and had a cozy, homey type atmosphere. Very inviting and comfortable. It had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, full stocked kitchen and grill. We used all the amentities the condo had to offer. It was decorated nicely to reflect the lake/skiing environment. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone staying in Summit County for vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Dear Guest, thank you for your positive review. We are always very happy when our customers have a great time and are happy with their decision to rent from us. It helps us to attract repeat customers! Please come back. Thanks again, IOK

The location was great for a ski trip and shopping. The view from the unit was gorgeous. This is not a newly remodeled or first class unit. It is a community condo with the amenities shared such as wi-fi (in lobby) and laundry down the hall. Cozy means extremely small and well worn. The most noticable is that it is a private residence with all of the owners personal items left out. Recommended for location only!...I rate it minus on cleanliness!!!!Owner response: So: this review is positive for guests who want to ski (most of those who come in the winter), shop (great outlets) or enjoy the view (summer and winter). This was an unfortunate event. This unit was built in 1973, we remodelled it 5 years ago. We clean the unit ourselves and I even routinely iron sheets and pillowcases. We obviously did not do a job that satisfied these renters and have since revamped our skills. I advise all our guests before they come that we use the unit ourselves between rentals and that they are welcome to use all the items left in the pantry/refrigerator. Most people are ok with this and use sugar, olive oil, vinegar, spaghettis, rice, ketchup, etc. that are in the condo. We also leave books and games for adults and children. Yes: these are personal items that we share with our guests. Other personal items in the unit are: my father's skis, our daughters first skis and boots, etc. For the price quoted in our website, these renters expected accommodations much superior to what we offer. We have rented our condo for 20 years and have never had such dissatisfied clients. Very regrettable for them: they did not enjoy their vacation! Devastating for us: their nasty review of our place, that I still claim: it is cozy, inviting and clean, has hurt our business!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1973
About the owner: We are Kenneth and Inge Kirkland. Ken hails from Oklahoma and he wanted to live in Colorado ever since he was a little boy. Inge hails from Chile and never thought about moving to the USA until she met Ken skiing in Portillo!! We have used the condo to ski in Winter and have fun in the Summer with our four kids. Now we are empty nesters and want to share it with you, hoping our guests will enjoy their time in the mountains. We communicate in English-Spanish-German-Portuguese and are also available as knowledgeable mountain guides for a negotiable fee.
Why the Owner Chose Lodge at Lake Dillon:
The Lodge is a well built place: stressed cement is safer in the mountains than wood! Also, the lobby of the building provides safety from uninvited visitors. The views are spectacular, sports and cultural activities to fill every need are plentiful and close by. Every season in the mountains has its own appeal: Winter attracts snow-sport enthusiasts, Spring brings back greenery and fishermen, in Summer flowers bloom everywhere and the Lake is full of little white sails you can watch lying by the outdoor heated pool and finally: Fall is quiet and saturated with warm sunshine spilling through the golden leaves of the Aspen trees. At each season, there is something worthwhile and unforgettable to do and enjoy.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Whether you want to be active or just come to relax: this place is for you. At every season you can choose to exert yourself outdoors or just stay put and watch TV, read, play games, enjoy the fireplace, the jetted tub, the swimming pool or just lie in the hammock on the balcony.
