Enjoy your Perfect Rest and Relaxation vacation in this adorable condo at the Village in Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
You will be over satisfied with the amenities this condo offers at such a reasonable rate. Observation Pointe North is a complex located in the heart of the Village. Your first encounter will be the covered parking garage where you will park as the owner of this condo. There is a special designated area for all to use if staying in the village. You can enter the door from the garage that takes you into the 2nd floor of Observation Pointe. From there you will ride the elevator up one floor up to the 3rd level and your condo is located on this floor.
Once you have enter you will notice a more than adequate full kitchen that will make your meal preparations effortless. Our units all have the typical kitchen utensils that you would expect in your own home. There is a nice size breakfast bar that connects with the kitchen. There is enough seating for 3 to enjoy. If you would like a more formal setting there is a nice size dining table that can seat an additional 4. The living area is quite cozy with a large sofa that makes into a queen sleeper. Another plus you will enjoy is a family size FLAT SCREEN HDTV AND DVD for winding down after a long day at the pool or beach. Located just off the kitchen is a full bath with walk in shower. Guest using the sleeper are grateful to have this full bath available without disturbing guest using the master bedroom.
The master bedroom has a KING bed and its own private bath with a shower/ tub combo. The cabinets provide plenty of storage for all your personals. There is an additional TV in the master in case you choose to watch a different program than the rest of the bunch.
Although your cozy condo can provide the relaxation you need, the most exciting feature of this unit is just outside the back patio door. Even though you are on the 3rd floor your unit opens out to the Garden and Pool area . The pool features a landscaped island at its center. There is a Cold Spa on one side, and a Hot spa on the other, each covered by a beautiful pergola and seating areas. There is also a fountain area, a gazebo with seating and an outdoor fireplace, and a large kids pool. There is a poolside snack bar that is open seasonally and also a cookout area that features two commercial sized gas grills. There are several picnic type seating areas surrounding the grills.
After a day or 2 at the pool its time to head to one of the most popular beaches in the world. From your unit it’s just a short drive over to the beach side of the resort to see what everyone talks about. You can park in the big parking lot that is beach front. This is where all of Sandestin guest park to get out to the beach. You can bring your own beach chairs or perhaps splurge and purchase beach set ups from the beach attendant. There is plenty of white sugar sand and plush green waters for all to frolic in. Don’t be surprised if you come across a few dolphins. It is there playground!
Last but not least is the added convenience of all the award winning restaurants, shops and boutiques the Village offers. Take the elevator to the ground floor and enter the village. You will be amazed at the variety of restaurants, shops, and boutiques that are just steps away. Your kids will be happy seeing the huge playground, zip line, and rock climbing wall that they can enjoy after a hard day at the beach.

Working with Platinum Vacations was a very enjoyable experience. Natascha was extremely helpful with our early arrival as well as our request to extend our stay. Observation North was nicely located in the Village, very near the hot tub and pool as well as Exercise Room. The condo kitchen was very well equipped with about anything you could think of or need. As from previous review...the sofa is in dire need of replacement as well as the drapes that are very soiled. The carpeting was quite worn in spots and dirty...we did call to have a vacumm delivered. We did have mechanical issues with the fridge but on calling Platinum a "service man" came and assured us the reason the inside of the fridge filled with water was "we had put it in defrost mode". He set the thermostat but it must have stayed in defrost mode for 6+ weeks! We did determine if you placed a mixing bowl under the hole from the freezer it did catch all the water and it did not freeze on the shelves. The stool in the main bath was "repaired" but continued to leak along with the faucet in the kitchen being very loose. We did not notify anyone of the ice maker not working as on initial visit was told, "not everything can be new". One major deterrant was the fact you cannot use the door to the patio without fearing you may never be able to lock it again. We were told that "the owner needed to buy a new lock but he wouldn't."(by service man) Though no ones fault, there were painters working outside from our patio area daily for most of our entire time. This was aggravating though since unable to use the attached patio not so significant. The outdoor fireplace a few steps away was very nice. We enjoyed our time in SanDestin and eating at Graffiti's was excellant along with Poppl's Seafood Factory and Agave Azul Mexican. We plan to return to SanDestin though will trial the Beachside area next year!

Grace and Natascha Wanted to say thank you all for your assistance his weekend, the two of you were very helpful. It was perfect for the two of us and really enjoyed our time there, I would highly recommend it. Loved the convenience and location, we could walk to restaurants and the transportation to the beach.

Nice vacation condo
Nice vacation condo
My wife and I and 21-year old daughter stayed here for a week. The condo location is great. Up one floor from the garage to floor 3 and down the hall a couple doors. There is a nice patio out back - half covered and half open. Beyond that are beautiful gardens and a small lawn, winding paths, nice large pool with cool and hot tub, snack bar and exercise room. Down the elevator and down to 1, you walk into a complete entertainment district with many restaurants, bars, shops, and kid-friendly activities. On both Tuesday and Wednesday evening we watched a free concert in a central area. Once back in the condo, there is no noise from any of this activity. We enjoyed all the attractions nearby that we didn't venture out as much as planned but the beach club was nice, there are plenty of places to walk and bike from the condo location including the marina and tennis center, and of course plenty to do in Sandestin and surrounding towns. At the wharf, we enjoyed dinner at Graffiti and the Funky Blues Shack, Hammerhead's Bar & Grille and Rum Runners. We did not like the pizza at Roberto's Pizzeria. The Broken Egg Cafe was great for breakfast. A few minor negatives: the porch furniture from Walmart could be improved upon; the 2nd bathroom was functional but not entirely inviting (still nice to have any 2nd bathroom though); couldn't get the bedroom remote to work; the back door was difficult/impossible to lock but I guess we didn't understand the directions; a couple times at night the garage was full but we were able to make our own space and since the aisles are relatively wide it worked out fine; and my daughter slept directly on the couch after the first night because the fold-out mattress was totally uncomfortable. For a restaurant outside of Baytowne Wharf, we highly recommend Pompano Joe's.
