  Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you were any closer to the Gulf you would have to be in it. The folks at Royal Beach rentals were great to work with from beginning to end. There were a couple of maintenance issues which they promptly corrected. The reparimem were very polite and friendly. Huck's was extremely clean and looks just like the pictures. Huck's is the only rental in the group of five townhouses so you get to visit with neighbors who really know the area. The sand is the prettiest we have ever seen. Do not plan to do a lot cooking in the rental. The kitchen equipment is minimal. Make sure you have grilled cheese sandwiches at The Melt Down. Ask for Micheal to wait on you at 723 Whiskey Bravo. Shades at the corner of 30-A and 98 is a great. The Dab salad is a must at George's. You can get fresh seafood and cooking tips at Goatfeather's. We will be back to the South Walton Beach area for another great vacation! Manager responded on 4/30/2013: Huck's Hideaway is the perfect spot for everything you mentioned!   Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice location right on the beach. A few amenities could have been made available at the condo such as a scrubbing brush for dishes (not a sponge), additional toilet paper, a baking sheet, and an iron and ironing board. Also overhead lighting in kitchen and dining area is weak. Otherwise, place was priced fairly for the season and would stay there again. Manager responded on 3/23/2013: Thank you for your review! Huck's Hideaway is a great townhouse right on the water and we hope you enjoyed the wonderful views and convenience to the beach. In each of our rental properties, we provide a complimentary starter kit of amenities to allow our guests an opportunity to enjoy the home before having to go to the store. While we do supply baking sheets and irons in our properties, sometimes they get damaged or go missing between guests. We will most certainly make sure these items get replaced. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Whoever Huck is, he has the right idea. Hucks Hideaway is a wonderful retreat from the crazy world. The property is in impeccable shape. The views of the ocean are perfect, access is easy and the beach (spring break 2013) is still reasonably private and quiet. I have already recommended this rental to family and will definitely be coming back myself. Rent with confidence. The rental management company keeps everything running smoothly. No ugly surprises before or during your stay. This location and rental is exactly what it claims to be...your (and Huck's) hideaway from the cares and stress of daily life. The beach was amazing from dawn til dusk - the dolphins swimming past and fantastic sunsets. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. We all had a brilliant time at Huck's Hideaway and would return again tomorrow if we could!! The sofa bed in the living room was in apalling condition. The entire bottom of the bed was falling apart. The kitchen needs to have the essentials restocked, there wasn't a single cookie sheet to bake on. The rest of the unit was wonderful and the view is amazing. Reviewer Comments: I was a bit nervous, as I had not had any dealings with this vacation rental company, but every question, no matter the day or night was answered. Its a cute little townhouse nestled off the road and honestly its very unassuming from the exterior, however, with one turn of the door knob, you enter this beach chic hideaway. It was clean and updated and just perfect for our family, the best part was the gulf front view, and because of the location, every morning you will be awakened by the tide rolling in and in the evening rocked to sleep by the escaping sounds of the sea rolling away. You cannot go wrong with this property or this company. Our family is already looking at potential vacation weeks for next year. Property offers new appliances and washer and dryer, so if you wondering what to pack, pack light and wash often. Also, the area is just charming and very family friendly. You sit in the middle of Destin and Panama City Beach, a half hour either way. Just perfect. The only thing is, your warning flags for swimming conditions is about 200 yards to your left as you face the ocean. It would be great if labels could be placed on folders for vacationers, stating the location of these flags. You will love it! I don't usually do reviews but I always find it helpful when I look for places so here goes!! Huck's Hideaway is a great townhome with wonderful access to the beach! The patio and grassy area was perfect for our girls to run out and play. Also the fact that it only has 15 or so stairs to the beach was a plus, considering so many other places have so much more. We have 3 little kids so the location and convenience to the beach was awesome! There is also a nice little deck for all of the townhomes near the stairs that provides even more amazing views!The living area is very spacious also. The only thing I would highly recommend would be to invest in some room darkening curtains for at least the 2 bedrooms upstairs. The sun shines brightly at 5 a.m. so needless to say, my kids were up earlier than usual! So it would have been nice to have some curtains in the rooms at least. Overall, Hucks was wonderful and we had a blast! Royal Beach called several times to make sure everything was good when we arrived. They were great to work with! Thanks again!! Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location- only a mile or so from Rosemary, 6 from Seaside and about 15 minutes from Pier Park in Panama City Beach. The unit was clean and nicely equipped. The kitchen and baths were newly renovated. Royal Beach staff called us on our first full day in the unit to make sure we were enjoying our stay and to make sure there were no problems. Best of all was the unit was directly on the beach. No hassels getting to the beach, no roads to cross, no trolleys or beach shuttles to call. Just walk out your back door and you are there. That is becoming harder and harder to find without spending $4-$5,000 for a week. We will be renting this unit again in the future. Manager responded on 6/7/2012: It is wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay at Hucks Hideaway. We agree the views are awesome and it is such a convenient area to all of South Walton.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was hesitant to rent this town home because of previous reviews. I took a chance and am so glad we chose to stay at Huck's. The view is breathtaking and the sunsets are amazing. My one and only complaint is that the sofa cover was dirty and the den could have used a little more attention to cleaning. I did notify the rental company and they were more than willing to come take care of the matter. We chose to cover the sofa with the extra set of sheets we had and make do. Location is convenient to almost everything. We would and plan to stay at Huck's Hideaway in the future. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1rst property sold to us with partial beach it was not. also when time of bill was issued, it was not accurate nor clear. They charged us for the first night $350.00 which we were not happy about due to the bunk beds my 7 year old kids were suppose to sleep in they were without a railing. Also no Beachview<br> access and quite claustrophobic. Manager responded on 8/29/2011: You were originally reserved for a property that unfortunately does not offer beach views which we do not market so we apologize for the misunderstanding. Since you felt that we misled you on the rental we allowed for you to move to a gulf front property which is something that is normally not done but we wanted for you to enjoy your vacation. Since you had stayed at the original property for the nights we did need to charge the housekeeping fee since there was no issue at the property to warrant a move to another property other than personal preference. We are glad that you let us know in conversation that you enjoyed your stay at Hucks Hideaway and look forward to seeing you again.

Kitchen utensils and cookware not maintained ... but these are very minor points of developement Manager responded on 9/7/2011: Thank you for letting us know about your recent stay at Hucks Hideaway. We apologize for the inconvenience with the television and have replaced the Living Room and Master Bedroom tvs with flat screens. You had let us know upon your departure about the toilet running but next time please do not hesitate to call us anytime and we will be over immediately to correct the issues. These might be minor for you but are major for us and we want you to enjoy your vacation 100% percent.

A couple of suggestions. The outside needs cleaned (all 8 units) b/c there was mold on the siding. The entrance of the "complex" is difficult to find and could be cleaned up too. The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointing visit due to the pool being closed for construction, the wrong code given to us for a different pool we had to drive to only to be refused entry, noisy construction on the boardwalk though we specifically asked to ensure there would be none, old couches, sagging and noisy mattresses in kids' bedroom, ants all over the kitchen and even in the dishwasher! The last straw was the rental agency bought a pizza for us in apology and they sent it to the wrong condo. Manager responded on 6/29/2011: We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. The Association unfortunately started work with out letting us know which caused the pool to be out of commission for the day. We had given access to another pool so your daughter could enjoy but were not able to reach the security office fast enough to let them know of your arrival. We contacted them as soon as we heard of the issue and got access permission for you to the pool. Because of the inconvenience we offered pizza and unfortunately the pizza delivery man delivered to a different condo which was out of our hands. The property does have a brand new sofa which is a surprise that you felt it was old and sagging. The condo was just refurbished with new bedding so we will look into the bedroom furniture. Should you have let us know of these issues we would have addressed ASAP. We apologize again for the inconvenience you had but unfortunately some things are out of our control.

  Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice townhouse recently upgraded. Short bike ride or walk to Rosemary Beach but somewhat remote from other communities. Awesome gulf front location. Private Patio and private balcony. More dresser storage in the bedrooms would be helpful. Reviewer Comments: This property's location IS the very best, if you are looking for beautiful beach and serenity just a few steps away from your door, and seen by every part of this townhome. Inside lovely update to date appliances, tiles, granite countertops, Royal Beach thought of everything in small touches to make this the perfect place to relax.
