  What a find! We're partial to secluded getaways and this house definitely delivers on that. Very private, comfortable and cozy. We loved the walks through the dunes to the beach. It was far enough away from the downtown area of St. Simons to make the trip downtown fun, but not so far as it was a chore. The house was really even better than the description and fit our needs perfectly. Though it rained much of the weekend we visited, we were never left without something to do. However, to be honest, we did simply sit on the porches and relax for much of the time. Having morning coffee and meals on the screened porch was divine. Having vacationed on many east coast beaches (IOP, Folly, Ocean Isle, OBX, Sunset, Hilton Head, Kiawah, etc.), we found St. Simons just as charming and welcoming as we had hoped, and this house fit the bill perfectly.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  East Beach Cottage was the perfect rental and getaway. I rented it for 4 days during Spring Break. I took my 4year old twins, 16year old niece and my mother. The description was accurate of the house. The layout is very functional...large kitchen, everyone had their own bathroom, the porches are amazing and the location was ideal. Short walk to the beach and the house provides a beach cart for all those beach toys! when we were not on the beach, we were on the back porch or even the large backyard. The sleeping bed swing or " pirate ship" was a favorite spot! To our surprise, we rarely left the house in the evenings. Natalie was amazing to work with. Answered all of my questions and quick response time even during our stay. I hope to return next year. I hope you do as well. Perfect getaway!

  We rented the cottage for a family spring break with elderly grandparents and teen-agers. It was great for the grandparents because we were all on one level and one of the bedrooms has a larger bathroom. I only wish the weather had been warmer to really utilize the great porches and beach area!!! Had lots of space and really enjoyed our family time here. Would love to revisit during warmer months!!

  We couldn't have asked for a more perfect cottage for our November family trip to St. Simons! Location - perfect; ambience - perfect; amenities - perfect! This will be our 'go to' home from now on!

  We stayed at the East Beach house for three days while visiting St. Simons Island for a wedding. The setup of the home, furniture, porches and backyard was perfect for our trip. We were extremely comfortable inside the home, my son loved the box of toys and dump truck waiting for him, the porches were perfect for early morning cups of coffee and late night conversations. The beach is just a short walk/drive away and was beautiful! The house had beach chairs that we were able to take with us and enjoy an afternoon at the beach. If we visit St. Simons Island again we definitely would stay here again.

  This was the perfect cottage for our "girls retreat". Great location and layout. The back porch is the highlight of the place. We spent every morning there with our coffee. We would hope to return to St. Simons Island and the East Beach Cottage.

  Well we had a great time at the beach house ,Thanks to my husband for finding this gem on the beach .It surpassed myself and my mothers expectations by alot .When we entered the house it was a wonderful large space for the nine of us for the first 5 nights then it still had room when my brother got there.Thanks Natalie for all your help. We highly reccomend this for a great family outting . Hopefully we will get to stay here again in the future. Everything was as listed and the pictures were spot on.

  The listing accuarately described the Beach House and the pictures were very helpful. The phots reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. The property had been cleaned. The owner had answered all of our questions prior to arrival. We would recommend this property and hope to visit ourselves again.

  I stayed in this house with 9 friends on a Spring Break trip. We've headed down to St Simon's Island every year for the past three years and were unable to secure a house we'd previously rented this time. I am very happy that happened because our stay in the East Beach House was absolutely fantastic. The listing was entirely accurate and we found everything about the house to be just what we wanted. Large rooms and beds, short walk to the beach, full kitchen, it had everything we needed and more. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone. We were a group of college students, but I could easily see a family or a group of families having just as good a time as we did. 5 Stars

  Great location and a very accurate description. It is a lovely 1930s cottage, perfect for folks who want a quiet retreat and close to the beach. Works for families with kids since there are 2 twin beds and 2 full beds as well. Photos are very accurate and owner/manager is great to work with. Location is close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. A truly great value if you want to be close to the beach!
