Private Vineyard Cabin in the Heart of Wine Country
- Minimum stay:Contact owner
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This charming studio guest cabin located in the heart of the Willamette Valley wine country offers stunning views of both the coastal mountains and the vineyard in which it is located. It is just minutes from historic downtown McMinnville with its outstanding restaurants, wine bars and unique shopping opportunities.
The cabin was lovingly constructed in 2008 using recycled/sustainable materials wherever possible. Hand hewn timbers from an 1840's Ohio barn span the vaulted ceiling while hardwood flooring from a Jim Beam distillery graces the floors. Antiques and art add warmth and beauty to this special getaway.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a two burner cooktop, micro/convection oven and dishwasher. French doors open to a very private deck where you can relax in Adirondack chairs after a day spent touring the surrounding area. Literally hundreds of wineries are available for touring and downtown Portland is an easy hour drive away as is the Pacific Ocean.

The perfect place to settle in. Quiet, serene, with a serenade of a hundred birds singing while you awake in the morning. The bonus- aside from the close proximity to downtown McMinnville and wine tasting rooms and the spectacular wine vibe- are the owners Don and Jean. Genuine, respectful hospitality and they treat you as if you are their first and only guest that has ever stayed there. I completely understand the hesitation of not writing a review of such grand nature, only to keep this place a little secret, but apparently the secret is already out: this is the place to stay (if you are lucky enough to get a reservation) in the McMinnville area. Second bonus: their private 2-acre vineyard produces a lovely Pinot Noir that will greet you as a complimentary bottle on your table when you step into Cabin One. We gave it a personal 94 points.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Absolute seclusion and total relaxation can be found at this ideal cabin getaway. The views are tremendous and manna for the soul. Although located in the hills off a less traveled road, the cabin is well situated for an easy trip into Mcminnville for dinners. This being said, the cabin is well equiped for creating a dinner without leaving and thus, never having to leave the oasis in the pines. Thank you Jean for a wonderful stay. Also I must add, we had a bottle of the Oliver 2010 Pinot Noir (estate grapes that were just outside the cabin)....delicious.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

This was our second trip to this cabin, and honestly the first trip was amazing (waking up to snow) and not sure how it could get any better. Amazing accommodations, gracious hosts and incredible wines made our second stay (it was our 10 yr wedding anniversary) top of the charts. Highly recommended!! Thanks again for the amazing memories!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My Husband and I loved this little gem of a place. The accommodations were immaculate and luxurious. We especially loved that this was a pet friendly stay! Getting into town for food and wine tasting was very accessible (with a car). The owners were so wonderful and personable. Thank you for everything! We hope to visit again one day. We would easily recommend this place to all!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I reluctantly write this review…because this is the best kept secret in the Willamette Valley. Perfect, perfect, perfect- for one or two, exploring wine country and looking for an evening retreat. The space is small, but modern with a smart layout and every attention to detail thought out. This is how you want to spend your time here. Spend time in wine country, and get back to the Oliver’s, relax in the vineyard, and… take it from there. You will not be disappointed.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We planned our travel dates around the availability of this gem, and we are so glad we did! To call this a cabin is a bit of a misnomer. It is better described as a luxury living accommodation that just happens to be located in a truly beautiful vineyard setting. The owners have outfitted the property to meet your every need; with plush bathrobes, a Bose sound system, bathroom toiletries and much more. It was great to return from a day of wine tasting to grill out and enjoy the fantastic vineyard setting and views. We highly recommend this property - and the owner's own pinot noir is very tasty as well!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband, pug, 12.5 week old baby & myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oliver Cellars. The cabin was beautiful. It had everything we needed & more. Very efficient use of space for sure. The property on which the cabin is located contains beautiful views which made for gorgeous morning walks with our dog & baby. Don & Jean were gracious hosts. We were welcomed with a complementary bottle of their silky pinot noir which was a nice touch after a long day of travel. We highly recommend this location for anyone who is looking for a quiet retreat up in the hills just outside McMinnville.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
