Dogs and People will love this place
My mom, myself and 2 dogs traveled 16 hours to this wonderful retreat right after Christmas and left on New Years Day. Susan was so helpful, it was a last second trip.. I contacted Susan and she got us the contract and everything all set up. She even was patient with us as I tried to scan and get the contract and payment back to her on Christmas Eve. We arrived and had no issues getting into the Condo Complex. Parking is ample for those driving and you feel very secure with your car there. There is an elevator and this unit is on the 2nd floor. This was a large Condo, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, washer/dryer, dishwasher, tons of closets, and HUGE balcony. Susan must be an interior decorator as the decor was thought out and well done. Love the Palm tree in the Living Room. Large Tv's and plenty of entertainment gadgets. We had places to see so we didn't have much need for the electronics but glad to know at the end of a long day we could relax with a good movie. Right outside there is a path that runs along the ocean, for bikers, walkers, runners, and dogs. It was always bustling with people, and if you wanted to walk to some of the local eats and places. We visited Pompano Joes (1 block), Kenny D's (4 Blocks), and the Crab Trap (3/4 of a mile). There is a HUGE Outlet Mall about 2 miles away, along with 2 other malls. There are rentals for bikes and little motorized vehicles to enjoy the weather and area about 3 blocks away. * This unit is as described and is as pictured. Here are a few helpful things we did not get from the pictures or description: This condo has a side view of the Ocean and the drive into the community. I would call it garden or Partial Ocean View. We would have liked more of a view but it is as pictured. I was not sure if the picture was stock from the Community or actual view (when looking at other units on VRBO the picture of the view Susan uses seems to be like others). It is actual view. Unit is carpeted. (Other pet units we've stayed in were tile.) There are some things that are showing their age, the paint on the deck furniture was peeling, a closet door was off the hinge, etc. If you need an idea of what to eat or do there is a basket full of menus for area restaurants and little notes or reviews to help you decide. Very helpful! We really enjoyed our stay, unit had all we needed, its beautiful area, and not far to go in either direction to get to Fort Walton, Panama City or Pensacola.
